The only way SeeReax was winning this week is if you opened all monsters or smth That said, I think SeeReax did misplay slightly in Game 3. He could've used Justify to banish Ezekiel at one point, although if Sam goes into Max again, pretty sure its GG anyway

Also in a enviroment where 90% of the deck has to be in archetype Musket is one of the best decks you could possibly use. Also the argument against Duel Accademy is true, when Seereax played ally of justice that is litterally a deck that can't work if the opponent doesn't have light stuff he was accused of cheating for dna surgery which would have been an useless card if same had pulled a light deck, now Sam is using a generic card with only positive effects for him and is somehow better then dna surgery even tough dna surgery can't be searched and woukd have been useless against a light deck??
Though in the case of the two, technically the rules allow Duel Academy since the deck's type is listed on it, whereas DNA Surgery does not list lights specifically, but it still feels like Sam is stretching the rules with it.
I thought the idea of this serie was to create decks based on the archetype and not to throw all staples or generic cards to make your deck overpower… Duel Academy? Labyrinth? Archfiend? Just fill your deck with what you spin and if not enough cards then look for support.

I know this is 4 months old but i was watching this with my friend and was wondering if anyone noticed that the musketeer is also on the s-force showdown card seereax had. This duel was fated to happen.
Sometimes I wonder what determines on what tier each archetype goes in. I notice that Melodious (one of my favorite decks), for example, is F tier when in reality, a pure build can beat a lot of other pure decks. Melodious mostly loses to hand traps and non-targeting disruption (which a lot of decks don’t do).

Duel academy isn’t cheating what archetype does it affect specifically? It calls out fiends. The lab specific trap is hand wavey but I don’t think it ever actually comes up in the game thus it doesn’t matter lmfao. Ghastly glitch is a normal non archetypal trap

In the end, Seereax was gonna get cooked, even without these cards being used against him. The decks and archetypes were too different in quality and competency.

I'd say Farewelcome is cheating, it's part of the Labrynth archetype. So is Regained since it's part of Branded. Archfiends are also an archetype which would rule out Ghastly Glitch. Duel academy is pretty generic but if there's no communication on what should be considered generic and what shouldn't, it's hard to say. I'd rule that, if a card has the name of another archetype (even if it is generic support) it would not be allowed. In the case of I:P Masquerena, I would argue that she would have been allowed. She's a direct part of the S-Force lore but, unlike Time Thieves, doesn't have a named archetype that she's directly part of. Edit: If Seereax had linked into Justify before attacking, he could have banished 3 of Sam's cards and probably turned around game 2.

But I think Duel Academy, while it may technically fit within the rules, its against the spirit of the series. Its supposed to be a creative deck builder thing, but when you can slot D.A. into 90% of decks without any downside it kinda defeats the purpose.

With more decks in c tier, and how strong jump from d tier, I hope the role change will be spin two decks, and can change after each game ( win or lose ), that way we can see more decks, and the 2 dual isn't the same as the first dual. the content is great! duals feel less back and forth, but that the better tier.
I really like this idea, because it also helps to counter decks that your opponents play, kind of like sidedecking. Even within the same tier, some decks can be a hard counter while also being hard countered themselves. This way, you can play your alternate deck to avoid the hard counter as well as introduce mind games.
I feel like Sam is just using this series to fix his tier wheel, because S-Force is definitely is not in the same tier as Magical Musket. I even see Thunder Dragon, Ghostrick, and Cyberdark in C tier.
He probably had someone build the deck for him too, he was getting destroyed up until then. Now you can never be sure if he built it himself or someone else did. Its actually one of the reasons i stopped watching TSX1 he's obnoxious and hypocritical. Im only watching cause i like seereax

Uhhhh....I feel I should read these rules. Cause I thought if you're playing "Magical Musket" then you should play "Magical Musket" + whatever staple if applicable. Not something that says "Labrynth" in it's card name that is well, meant for "Labrynth". At the same time I feel like either way it's called someone will just say, "Well back in episode **insert number here**, this happened so." Doesn't really matter at the end of the day as long as they're still friends.
if it mentions the type or attribute of the archetype you can still play the card. So because MM are fiends which is listed by Labyrinth he can play it. Same thing with Seereax using Branded Regained for light/dark. Im not a fan of those rules either as their highly abusable, but they are the rules.
I think it should count as 'generic' if you can change the name of the cards to suit the archetype and the effect still makes sense around the archetype you're using.
I believe generic archetype support cards like the labrynth trap or branded regained should not be allowed. Archfiends ghastly glitch is generic fiend support as it both is not a "labrynth" trap nor mentions labrynth in its card text so I feel its 100% viable in fiend decks if youre allowing type support. Generic non archetype type or attribute support I feel is fine, but I think when a card is quite specifically archetype support even if its partly generic should not be allowed. Also purely generic support cards like duel academy shouldnt be allowed at all as there is no difference between them and other staple cards like pot of extravagance.
I think the ruling should just be that all those generic type support cards are not allowed so that there is no debate. I don‘t personally have too much of an issue with it but I believe it would solve alot of issues people have with the ruleset. The branded and Labrynth card are actually part of a different archetype so they both are out of place. But it‘s not my series^^
Interesting about this format is that it shows us many players don't know how to play different archetypes except meta, still remember Sam letting his Nordic negate trap being destroyed because he thought he can't do anything...

Uhhhh....I feel I should read these rules. Cause I thought if you're playing "Magical Musket" then you should play "Magical Musket" + whatever staple if applicable. Not something that says "Labrynth" in it's card name that is well, meant for "Labrynth". At the same time I feel like either way it's called someone will just say, "Well back in episode **insert number here**, this happened so."

if it mentions the type or attribute of the archetype you can still play the card. So because MM are fiends which is listed by Labyrinth he can play it. Same thing with Seereax using Branded Regained for light/dark. Im not a fan of those rules either as their highly abusable, but they are the rules.
I think it should count as 'generic' if you can change the name of the cards to suit the archetype and the effect still makes sense around the archetype you're using.

May wanna revamp the wheel again. Feel like both these decks are on the wrong tier.
I believe generic archetype support cards like the labrynth trap or branded regained should not be allowed. Archfiends ghastly glitch is generic fiend support as it both is not a "labrynth" trap nor mentions labrynth in its card text so I feel its 100% viable in fiend decks if youre allowing type support. Generic non archetype type or attribute support I feel is fine, but I think when a card is quite specifically archetype support even if its partly generic should not be allowed. Also purely generic support cards like duel academy shouldnt be allowed at all as there is no difference between them and other staple cards like pot of extravagance.

I think the ruling should just be that all those generic type support cards are not allowed so that there is no debate. I don‘t personally have too much of an issue with it but I believe it would solve alot of issues people have with the ruleset. The branded and Labrynth card are actually part of a different archetype so they both are out of place. But it‘s not my series^^

Interesting about this format is that it shows us many players don't know how to play different archetypes except meta, still remember Sam letting his Nordic negate trap being destroyed because he thought he can't do anything...
It seems that seereax don't really understand all the archetype in yugioh. Maybe because he got his time playing other games too, not only playing yugioh like sam
The master wheel says that you can't play cards that summon non-archetypal monsters - and branded regained summons bystials back from the grave, so I'd want to avoid including it, or clarifying the rules personally ^^
I mean he CANT use bystials so what would be the point of banning it?
