Thank you! This looks to be the perfect patio broom. I hadn't been to the store to buy one & I'm glad, because your broom looks like it will do a better job.
Love the recycle route. Perfect for little ones to help sweep sidewalks, patios, etc. Good video. Show finished product next time. Like the zip tie idea too.
Hi again...I'm 68 yrs. old, now, and as long as I can remember, I've always improvised. All we nd is an analytic mind...This is our lifestyle at home...3 generations...from putting floors to ordinary crafts! 😉 🌹
This is very resourceful. Good job. I actually purchased a pretty good broom at the dollar store plus tax, total $1.07 On the way home I stopped at a garage sale and found an even better broom for 25 cents. Two brooms for $1.32
I once used a branch off a tree ...all the leaves on the branch worked really well :) And ..the best thing about it was....it didnt take me over 7 mins to make it ...x
Nice stuff. :) In my culture we return bottles back to shop and get 20 or40 cents per bottle back. They recycle our bottles. We hardly never have plastic bottles to use for this, unless we don't want money from them. Same goes with most of our glass bottles, except imported bottles, plastic and glass ones.
Thank you my friend for sharing this wonderful idea of yours. I am so excited to share this to my friends and make this project as one of my Christmas gifts/to do list. You inspire us all....
I was looking for videos of recycle/upcycle and found this. I never would have thought of this. It would be a great porch broom to sweep away the leaves.
fantastico......thank you so much for sharing, i am going to make one now and teach this as a school project. Awesome keep up the fabulous work.....from New Zealand
this made me laugh - not because its humorous, but because its ingenius i could make one of these for my porch and sidewalks and not worry about getting my other broom filthy or frayed, thereby having to replace it every couple months
VERY NICE!! I love these informational videos. It's a wonderful break from watching "kids" knocking themselves out and breaking things. But I have to say, I was dying to see the end product in action other than 1 sweep (and a beautiful shot of your white socks)! SHOW IT!! Let's see your hard work
Neat idea! I will be making rope using grocery plastic bags, loop them at the handle to make a long strand, then braid. Also have seen beautiful ladies purses with woven plastic bags. Recycle, reuse!
Sockenkatze Hold on to it and jump off the garage roof. You can lengthen the flight time slightly by clutching an open umbrella in the other hand while you do this.
watch Harry potter 1. one tip, you will see but put the broom on the floor rase your hand up of the broom and say up!!!!! up!!!!! remember!!!!:be happy when you do it
Gracias por compartir y enseñárnos cómo reutilizar las botellas desechables.... ya que se acumúlan tántas botellas en todos los hogares y con tú ayuda sabremos darle vida útil.. Que estés muy bien ;)
it sounds as if it has a really nice "scrape" to it better than a corn broom, corn brooms seem to glide over a lot of things, your broom seems to have the avility to grab a lot more than a corn broom,i have 4 old broom sticks, now i know what to do with at least one of them! Thank to you that is... thanks for a great well explained video!
my sisters n I used to do that when we were little girls,we also made mops with old t-shirts and also cut them into long strips, thanx that brought back good memories :)
Great technique. I love anything that involves recycling. I'm just wondering how efficient it is as a broom. I'm sure it's fine for larger things, but how would it handle sweeping up spilled flour, sugar, sand, etc.?
holzapfelstein I have the broom at my other property, so I cannot try it out to refresh my memory. If my memory serves me correctly, it isn't as good at fine dust as other brooms, but I think it can get the job done with a few extra swipes.
I'm making this rite now but I'm a bit confused. Thanks God I found your video. It really helps me alot and if it really works well, I'm thinking on making money using this bottle and other wastes.
Your welcome! Thanks for making this tutorial! It's awesome. I make brackets out of recycled water bottles and have to cut straight lines in the plastic, and I just use the masking tape. Wrap it around and that way you've for two free hands. Less likely to cut your fingers off. :)
so pure and wholesome. i wish the internet was still like this
This is a great idea that should be used around the world!
ya bro

leggenberg Thanks for the feedback. I do have some pics of the finished product - perhaps I'll do a blog post sometime and link it to the video.
I thought that this was pretty cool and free if you have sticks around that will work or old broom handles. Great job.
WLUP1 Thanks - glad you enjoyed it!

That is just it - I couldn't figure out how to make a 7-minute video of the tree branch thing, so I went with the soda bottle broom instead. :)

Does it have a volume knob for when you are sweeping the garage floor? Because it's pretty loud.
