being an avid rock collector i can say that that stone is unreal. those air tubes are beautiful, the color is prefectly distributed and rich, and it is clear as glass.
I've never seen a gem like that in my life. Those "imperfections" made that gem so much more striking than it would have been without them. That aquamarine is probably the only one like it of that size in the entire world....
There are bigger aquamarines but this cut specimen is prized like a priceless cut glass. This could easily sell for millions of dollars between $2.5 to $3 million dollars.
I can't believe it... I simply can't understand how such beauty can be crafted by nature. I'm really glad they cut it as one peace, -it would've destroyed it forever.
The fibonnacci circle and fractals is a geometric sign for conscious. Basicly crystals Are living beings groving for thousands of years. Just like plants and vegetables show with its geometry that it have conscious.
It's to do with the strength of the strengths of the bonds between the molecules of the crystal. This causes the crystal to grow in a specific pattern. e.g diamond is made up of many tetrahedral molecules in a regular structure, creating a giant macro-molecule (crystal). Also, no fractals are not the geometric representation of consciousness. Fractals are shapes with repeating patterns that go on towards infinity (sorry, not the best wording). They have a fixed area but infinite perimeter.
Saw her in person, I was STUNNED. I live in DC and I couldn't believe I hadn't seen this yet, as I collect crystals. It's so much more beautiful in person.
That's not quite true. Aquamarine is the blue variation of beryl (Be3Al2(SiO3)6)- by the way green beryl is emerald. Amethyst is the purple variation of quartz (SiO2). Different colors come from different chemical impurities. Aquamarine is about 13 times more valuable than Amethyst.
they do put it on display for visitors to see. like all museums, they have a lot more stuff than display rooms and people don't like to see same things over and over again so they cycle the stuff between being on display and in storage throughout the year.
Watched a documentary about Aquamarine and it's my birthstone. Its a true mountain gem and maybe thats why I feel at home in the mountains and find something mystical in aquas and the mountains.
Hi I have very good quality Aquamarine stones. 45crt , 55crt , 155crt , 13.5kg Stone all so I have. Very good colour & beautiful cutting. You want please WhatsApp me 65-93205044. Thank you.
That things gotta be worth millions. I see a comment that says its worth less than a million but to me this crystal is more beautiful than just about any gem, but less beautiful than king tut's sarcophagus. So it should be worth at least 30-60 million
Aquamarine is my birthstone. I am with Gem and Mineral Club of Scarborough, North York Faceting Guild (both Toronto), and United States Faceting Guild. I found an aquamarine crystal "thumb sized", 42 mm long, 25 mm wide. If I were to facet her, she would end up very small, so instead, I will keep her as she grew and make a large silver pendant.
Absolutely incredible. Glad it fell into the magical hands of the loving genius, Bernd Munsteiner. Amazing crystal to begin with, but incredible transformation of its natural air tubes like rays of glistening needles.
This person presenting makes it sound like those interior features are natural, but in fact they were cut into the backside by Bern Musteiner, that's why the presenter doesn't show the backside. Actually at 0:44 you can see the lozenge-shaped negative cuts in the backside of the gem.

Look up the Dom Pedro Aquamarine. It was at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. I went back in 2015 when it was on display. Very stunning gemstone!! This video is very underwhelming.
That gem is shockingly impressive.
It looks like something you would read about in Lord of the Rings or another fantasy novel....

@@qwertyqwerty697 , I don't think that they could make a Chinese piece of colored glass look like that.
Imperfections? You mean perfection!
perfect imperfection
Nature don't have anything perfect.imfect is also a beauty.
@@samjewellery3336 I think is the other way around, mother nature doesn't have imperfections ,us humans see imperfections where there isn't..
❤

The air in those tubes is probably millions of years old. Exactly like it was when the crystal was first formed.

Calling them imperfections is ironic to me they make it perfection am I right 😮

Gorgeous crystal. "Imperfections"...more like artwork.
Saquez Because that's what it's called.

This is probably more expensive than priceless
It's around 750,000 US
It’s Priceless because once it goes into the museum it most definitely wont be leaving
@@elar-fy4jt That's not how that works. Generally, Museums simply show off items that still belong to private individuals.
@@alph4only698 that’s way more than 750k
I could have stared at it for 5 more minutes. Thanks for the clip.
Wow! I don’t see any imperfections but it’s such a unique and beautiful crystal! Would love to have something like this! 🤩🤩🤩

60 pounds what happened to the rest of the crystal as it’s obviously much much smaller then the original uncut one?
Absolutely magnificent. Speechless.

Natural art of gem very impressive I love it
These "natural hollow tubes" are just carved into the backside of the stone right?

Lindas Águas marinhas cristalizadas rutilados 💎💎💎👏👏👏👏
this dude looks like he could drop it one day
Swifty Weasel Its harder than Quartz so it would likely be fine. Its not like its made of glass.
The harder the more easily it brakes. This piece is especially susceptible to breaking because it's so big.
goognam goognws Wouldn’t the tubules running through the crystal make it more susceptible to breaking? I wouldn’t want to be the one to find out!
Amazing where did it come from?
Came from Brazil...
Cheers
Is it not made of epoxy risen?
does it have any magic power?
This aquamarine is so amazing and unic, that the crystal looks like some sort of Alien technology long lost
I would like to thank the cameraman for mostly showing me the face of that man handling the crystal, instead of that boring old crystal.
