Totalizer's laser attack can be quite tricky you should always try conserve your missile attacks. Use your missiles when you already chipped away at other body parts use your chain gun until his legs are lowered then use your missile attack to finish off the legs it will cause a chain reaction possibly taking out several parts in one attack.
Or do what I do after you beat the three. Grind. Take out 1000 kids on the playground. Get 100 levels in all attacks and watch the chaos. It doesn’t punish you as much as Pokemon did! Past areas cans still level up.
Imagine if this Game was actually remade. It would have all the advantages we have now-a-days, that was not so easily accessible (or even a thing) back in the day this was originally released. Like built-in-wireless connections for example. A shame it won't likely happen, but I could easily see this being made for the N3DS.

I have some ideas for a plausible remake. 1: Medrgy- Best describes as the energon of the Medabot world. It comes in the form of energy biscuits or energy water. Able to restore damage parts. 2: Spectator Shields - energy shields that protect the people from the battles. The Medafighters have deflector shields for indirect attacks. 3: Medaplates- Plates of metal that turn into lost parts. 4: Healing Vest- A He-man like chest harness that heal humans. Metals can accelerate healing factor of their Medafighters. Just put a metal on the vest and the human is healed. 5: Repair Platform - A platform that requires Medabots from all conditions. 6: Medahacking: Put a metal in a specific machine and the Medabots metal will hack the device. 7: Meda-shuttle - A vehicle that functions best when you insert a metal in the controls. It can go on land, sea, under the sea, air, and space.
Tip: change the setting to robattle: short so robattles would only last 30sec and used fast forward if your gonna used the auto. system. The anime is based on the game and not the other way around so there is a lot they have in common but it doesn't completely follow the anime Edit: stop saying the game destroyed your save file if you lose, you didn't save, the game doesn't have an auto save function its an old game, save your game if want to save your file 😑

The heroes have to go to this realm to get the souls back. 3: an alien conquer that uses robattles to determine the conquest of a specific area. If you win he will abort the conquest, if you loose he will conquer enslave and destroy your area as he sees fit. If he really respects you he will banish you (you your Medabots and your friends) to the planets he doesn't care anymore. Then you have to robattle scavengers and space pirates for parts to build a ship, travel to other planets till you get to earth for a rematch, if you loose again it will be instant death. 4: during the ancient Medabots they had many wars, but the most notorious was against one person who vowed to destroy everything. Before he was defeated he banished himself to a pocket dimension where he rebuilt himself as a god a destruction. Though trapped he finds certain ways to manipulate things in our world to try to get free and resume his distruction. Like controling Kilobits, impersonating internet buddies, possessing humans that have touched his... special crest. He also plans to fight and destroy the prime metal, the god of the Medabots. His main weaknes is to remove his prime metal.
I got some more ideas. 1: Cryo Pods - the humans sleep in those pods for... certain reasons while the Medabots take care of certain things. 2: Medabot waiting room - Where Medabots wait on their kids while they are at school or so forth. 3: The Sickness - A strange disease is attacking humans. And the Medabots are handling this pandemic the best they can.
I really love this game, especially the combat system. The random targetting can be annoying at times but the unique spin on what looks like an ATB system is really compelling. Note that you won't be able to use Medaforce until your Kabuto medal reaches a certain level :) I would love to see a continuation of your playthrough.
I actually like the random targeting because it requires skill to build a bot that targets the parts you want to destroy. You can't just slap on the best items and hope to win
I was thinking about a plausible story line. It takes place in a special group that is designed to handle Medabots that have...gone rouge. The main character is a new member. Armed with a slingshot that fires balls that disable Medabots, a teleporter system that turns the Medabots to it's backside, and a metal removal tool. The main antagonist is a small army of Medabots ruled by ones who have echo metals (metals built with a copy of a human mind). They say most echo metals are more intelligent than regular metals but are prone to... mental instability.
God, I remember playing this game (And I remember how much trouble I had with the 'rappy racing' or whatever it was called, somewhere later in the game, where you had to rappidly press A>B>A>B etc.). Been way too long though, so my memory is probably very vague and wrong on many parts. xD

Not sure if you’ve had it pointed out before, but the slot you choose for attacks (left arm, right arm, head) determine what weapon from YOUR medabot uses for its attack. You have a rifle, machine gun, and missle which refer to varying parts. The part of the ENEMY that get enlarged/highlighted when you select an attack is the part that your attack will target. You just had been unfortunate in every attack you clicked happened to be pointing at the legs.
Fun fact this GBA game is actually a remake of Medarot 2, so when you say you want a remake of this game, you are basically saying that you want a remake of a remake lol. This game series is still active in Japan, if you own a 3DS you can get the games up to Medarot 9, and you can play the original that the GBA remake was based on, in Medarots classic collection which has the GB games from 1 up to 5 on the GBC. The battle music in this GBA game is a slightly upgraded version of the battle music from the first GB Medarot game. And in Japan there is an exclusive gacha game over there called Medarot S, where they did a crossover with Rockman X and Rockman.EXE and its very awesome to see Medabot versions of those characters.

Medaballs - Rolling ball like devices, said to be the only weapon to destroy a Medabot.

I love this game. I have actually beaten it once. The Game has a couple of things to be desired for sure. First you want to skip through all the time wasting stuff like waiting for a medabot to finish attacking and make their move. A proper leveling experience where you could actually makes a difference is desired. (Although it actually does. You may not be able to tell!) At an early stage a 1v1 wasn't exactly the best first impression cause the game play very much the same and out of control. Why can't I get to aim for something specific instead of random target and part? I think they should make it to let you choose but knowing the odd that comes with it! Harder to hit head for example. Broken leg make them easier to hit. (Should do like the show where different things happens to each part!) When you could mix up many variety of medabots it gets really interesting. This genre has such potential I would LOVE to see remaster done right. Play it on an emulator and fast forward a lot. It still fun. It got hilarious moment.

There was metabee and rokuso version the games. They had another one for the GBA too but there's also metabots infinity for the GameCube and PS2 too and if you had the Gameboy adapter that connects to the GameCube and you would get Arc beetle for metabee and for rokuso is mega emperor
I gonna say, medabots was the game I invested most of my time playing gba game more than pokemon. Fighting and colleting the parts you need takes a lot of time and you feel very statisfied after you getting the parts you want. Rokusho first pick lover here.

dude you forgot to save the game also when you click on the different body part when you fight. THATS your medabot's weapons. also pay attention to the bodypart highlighted when it grow big and small. depending on the weapon part you use it has a higher chance (still random though) on hitting that specific medapart. I sggest you to keep playing this game

I have this game on my gba and I got stuck in a fight with 3 enemy medabots that have instant death and I cant progress cause of it so that where I quit the game.
Yes, this game has PVP. You can even get the parts from other games! If you were smart you could grind off one game the other medabots game, and go back and forth until both games have both main medabots!

If ed played the rokuso one than I could be watching snak playing one version & ed playing the other one. But ya these were fun&hard took me a long time to get further ahead. Japan switch have the medabot legacy like game that have like 6 medabot games on it.
You don't target parts at all, it's a random choice. You should have started attacking with the machine gun, then switched to rockets, when the arm got destroyed. Also, I think you could have attacket after collecting medaforce, if you would have chosen thelegs in that instant, but I'm not 100% sure. ... Remake... Hopefully it has an option to ask Kikuhime out.
I struggled with this game. I enjoyed it though. I recently played metarots R fan translation which basically followed the same story but was 3d graphics and stuff and played on a ps1 emulator. Would recommend.

I've played this game way back as a kid in game boy color in japanese version. I have watch the anime in local language so I know the show but playing the game in japanese which I dont understand a thing I manage to play through and finished the game. it was fun and underrated gem of a game. looking to play this again in english version to totally understand what really going on when I play this way back
I think would help if they had these fan films of medifighters having robattles with characters... out of lore, fighting with robots in that lore.

I have this game on my gba and I got stuck in a fight with 3 enemy medabots that have instant death and I cant progress cause of it so that where I quit the game.
F-ing ghost. I got stuck their as well just needed strong part&luck on hitting the leader head or hopefully they damage their head.
Yes, this game has PVP. You can even get the parts from other games! If you were smart you could grind off one game the other medabots game, and go back and forth until both games have both main medabots!
Use love play this when I was younger, it was great game when you learn the mechanic
I was thinking about two plausible Medabot games.
One game functions mostly like Overwatch.
The second game functions almost like Team Fortress 2.
I loved the show, and that was my favorite gba game as a kid, regret selling it so had to hunt it down again lol. Need to get a gba advance and link cable so I can trade stuff to one game. Wish it came to not switch and not be part of the switch online gba program.

i played rokusho version, sadly i didn't collect the last part at the end game event.
One of my favorite games as a kid wish it got a remaster or a new game with similar combat.

If ed played the rokuso one than I could be watching snak playing one version & ed playing the other one. But ya these were fun&hard took me a long time to get further ahead. Japan switch have the medabot legacy like game that have like 6 medabot games on it.

You don't target parts at all, it's a random choice. You should have started attacking with the machine gun, then switched to rockets, when the arm got destroyed.
Also, I think you could have attacket after collecting medaforce, if you would have chosen thelegs in that instant, but I'm not 100% sure.

Robots with capes makes them cooler... duh. Also what kinda parent gives $50 for spice a roni which is probably like $2.50 a can...

I struggled with this game. I enjoyed it though. I recently played metarots R fan translation which basically followed the same story but was 3d graphics and stuff and played on a ps1 emulator. Would recommend.
One of the best GBA games of all time. Such a tragedy it never got a sequel.
There was another Medabots GBA game released in the west, which wass more like Super Smash bro. Medabots AX. (also a Metabee/Rokusho version)
