I did this installation. The video is very good. The only snag I had was installing the bracket under the parking brake cable. It was difficult to align the holes, so I had to loosen the center nut on the brake cable 5 turns to allow enough slack to allow the bolts to be threaded. Even then, I had to pull back on the brake cable while installing the bolts. Otherwise, the install went very smoothly,. TYhe console is very nice and I now have the armrest I need to drive comfortably!!
agree with this comment on all points. parking brake cable adjustment was necessary and the biggest hurdle of this install. otherwise this video was spot-on! thanks.
What is the part number for the plastic cover that goes over the now empty armrest hole please? Thank you for the video, it is very helpful and appreciated ✌🏻While there may be cheaper center consoles that just drop in on top of the factory center console they are absolutely NOT Honda OEM quality! Wish I had just spent the money the first time on the real deal Honda part. Genuine Honda parts are the GOAT!
The plastic cap and bolt to cover the old hole in the side of the seat, are they included with the new console armrest, or is it a separate part purchase?
It does work with the manual - I installed one of these on my MT Sport model. Don't know why Honda said it wouldn't. Maybe they were worried people would have trouble shifting with the armrest down, but it doesn't interfere at all for me.
Great vid. Thanks. I now know enough that I'll have my Honda dealer do this install for me. Even with these really clear instructions, I think I best not try it. Thanks again.
I was looking for the video like this 1 or 2 months. Hopefully found it. Thanks alot
Mee too, but what is the size of the wrench?

Maybe it's the music, but this is satisfying/soothing to watch.
Mine came without instructions. Thank you so very much for posting this. Saved me a lot of head-scratching!
In my country, they selling it plug n play, u just stick it in those 2 holes n you're done, simple, strong, n without making any holes..
Yeah, I ordered one from China (Aliexpress) for $40. For my first gen 2007 Fit. Just slots into the cup holders.
I'm having this done to mine in 2 days, if they leave any scratches on the plastic I am gonna flip a lid.

Honda does not offer that component separately.
I was lucky and found this exact kit in the junkyard but had to return to get that seat armrest cover because I forgot it

What size for the big side holes?
any idea where to get the armrest cover?
May I ask where’d you get the cover for the hole ? And if there’s any for sale
It only comes with the armrest. It is not sold separately.
@jopop70 It will however Honda feels that it interferes with shifting.
I don't understand why Honda didn't include the center armrest and rear disc brakes on the Fit. Does it increase the cost of production that much?
Unfortunately it is not available separately.
Great video, thanks for posting. Now im a bit confused as to why this armrest will not work with a Manual Trans model ? Care to explain?

Not that all that didn’t look like a fun time, but aren’t there armrests you can get that just snap into the square cup holders
Does honda sell seat belt extension for 2015 honda odyssey 2nd and 3rd row? If not can you tell what type they are?
What kind of wrench did you use to remove the armrest seat?

rear disc is alot more expensive than drums. And it costs a lot more for consumers with 4 weal disc maintenance.
Great. Thank you
