I really don't understand the trade by the houston's perspective. Did we just trade the right to swap ou pick with the (maybe) first pick of the 2025 draft (from BKN), or i'm trippin ? Someone can explain me ?
Why would they do that? 1. He has no value 2. They’re not contenders so his big contract doesn’t affect them 3. They would have to give a frp in order for someone to take that big ass contract 4. Would be way smarter to let him play and raise his value or play out his contract and let him walk
That'll be a dumb move. The nets are now in step 1 of the rebuilding phase i.e. rebuliding with no young star as their foundation. They should do it like okc where they become a rehab center for bad contract players
If the Knicks go on to win a title, not a soul will be saying it was a bad trade for them. Kinda like how everyone was saying the Rams gave away too many picks to get Matt Stafford and other pieces... and then they won a Super Bowl and all you could hear from the critics, suddenly, was crickets.
So that means that Randle is gone, right? They have to re-sign OG and I Hart, and there is no way you can have all those fowards making that much money.
As a Sixers fan I would like the Knicks organization trade picks #24,#25, Julius Randall and Mitchell Robinson, to Phoenix for KD. Then resign Isaiah Hartenstein and lose OG, so my Sixers sign OG and we make a trade for Lauri Markkanen, sign KCP in free agency.
As a Nets fan idk if I am ecstatic. Basically we are tanking now and these picks have questionable value. Worst of all Ben Simmons is still the highest paid Net.
I hate to see Bridges go but this trade helped out Brooklyn in the long term. I just hope this time around they would be smart enough not to mess things up with these picks and trades .. Now if we can find a team for Ben Simmons....
Idk what's crazier the fact that mikal brought 9 frp for the nets or the fact that the Knicks and nets made a trade. Also if Durant were to become rocket that means the big 3 of the okc (russ, harden, durant) all were a rocket too. The sun's are smart to not completely fall into trading Durant as they like to see where it goes and they know chances are Houston is willing to trade for an old Durant.
That Houston trade is what really made me happy has a Nets fan.... We got our piccs bacc and we can still see Bridges play in New York just not for my Nets it's all good with me 😅
The only way for us to snag Mikal was by paying more than the next guy. Its not "too much" because it was completely necessary. Plus, the Knick picks were low value anyway
It wasn't a crazy offer that the Knicks just came up with... the Nets were shopping him for 6 first round picks, thats public knowledge, the Knicks actually talked them down. You have to be a bit more than a casual to understand why the value was there for the Knicks to trade those picks for Bridges. The way the CBA is today you can't have more than maybe 2 max contracts on your team, Bridges may not be an all-star as of today, but his contract is VERY team friendly. If you compare it to Paul George for example hes being paid 30+ more mil a year. These types of contracts are what is so valuable to a team like the Knicks who are in win now mode. Its much more than just that as well with team chemistry, elite defense, reliability, age and what not. It is a situation where the value is hard to see but it is 100% there.
i keep going back and forth on whether OG is going to resign. At first I thought that the knicks wouldn't be able to afford him but they clearly can but hartenstein seems like a casuality. There have been reports that OG wants a bigger role offensively and now his role if he returned would have just shrunk by a large margin. But I feel like the knicks wouldn't trade 6 firsts for Birdges if they thought they were losing OG, they would want to pair them right? I also feel like if they had to choose between resigning OG or acquiring Bridges for 6 firsts, resigning the better player, at least I think he's the better plater but I'm not 100% sure, in OG just seems the move. If the knicks don't resign OG doesn't this trade just make them worse overall? idk lmk any thoughts
The Knicks are really trying to win a championship using the power of friendship

Knicks will go hard for OG. It's OG and Mikael is their answer for Boston duo.
Boston in 5
The Knicks are going to be dope. My second team after the Nuggs. Nuggets vs. Knicks in the Finals next year.
nuggets got no answer for the T-wolves nuggs got problems in their on conference to worry about. Knicks right now have no bad matchups.
@@Reaper1Reaps We were up 20 in Game 7 so the answer is simply to get rest so we can finish by adding a few bench pieces. Knicks still have a match up problem with the Celtics and Philly. Whose going to guard Dingus Pingus and Joel if they lose Hartenstien and Robinson (whose always hurt anyway), Julius Randle?
I really don't understand the trade by the houston's perspective. Did we just trade the right to swap ou pick with the (maybe) first pick of the 2025 draft (from BKN), or i'm trippin ? Someone can explain me ?
All this just to blame injuries again
Is Cam Thomas going to be the Nets equivalent of rookie year Michael Carter-Williams now?
OG coming to my Thunder now hopefully lol
Bogdonovic was traded to the nets in that deal
Marks put in some serious work last night.
Nets now need to offload Ben Simmons
Ben Simmons to pistons confirmed. It's over for the league
@@jjcometa9333 the nets would trade ben simmons for a bag of doritos and an arizona.
For what? Just let him play and hope his value may go up
Why would they do that?
1. He has no value
2. They’re not contenders so his big contract doesn’t affect them
3. They would have to give a frp in order for someone to take that big ass contract
As a ents fan, I love mikal, hope he gets something down w the knicks
"They come with fire, they come with axes!! Gnawing, breaking hacking burning; curse them!!" 😂
Randle definitely gonna get traded
OG is gone. Add the cost of that trade onto this trade😮
Congrats on Tucker's first TH-cam trending video. 💪🏽
Nah, Ben loves y'all too much to leave anywhere else 😂
Idk what's crazier the fact that mikal brought 9 frp for the nets or the fact that the Knicks and nets made a trade. Also if Durant were to become rocket that means the big 3 of the okc (russ, harden, durant) all were a rocket too. The sun's are smart to not completely fall into trading Durant as they like to see where it goes and they know chances are Houston is willing to trade for an old Durant.
We have to remember that 'value' always depends on the context.
That Houston trade is what really made me happy has a Nets fan.... We got our piccs bacc and we can still see Bridges play in New York just not for my Nets it's all good with me 😅
🔥🔥🔥 Channel your takes are always fair, accurate & unbiased
As a Pacers fan, I'm sick about playing the Knicks again next season with Bridges if all healthy.
The Nets are saved. We can finally rebuild. I am so happy, man!
Suns cant sell the whole farm because of Beal's no trade clause.
The Knicks saw ANOTHER NOVA guy and said, "I want that"
8:18 - 8:41. Listening to that made me realize something… This must be how my wife feels when my adhd is wildin and I’m rambling on… 😂
Next season let cam thomas cook
I had to watch this twice to get a good grasp on it. Wtf way to start the summer!
When is Jay Wright joining the Knicks staff?!
The only way for us to snag Mikal was by paying more than the next guy. Its not "too much" because it was completely necessary. Plus, the Knick picks were low value anyway
This move tells me they not keeping OG sorry unless they get rid of Randle
While all this is happening, my GSW is just sitting on their thumbs like a douchebag 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Villanova was one of the best college teams ever.
Winning 2 championships.
Let’s bring that magic to the NBA finals.
I was so happy last night when I saw the Tweet, Nets have hope.
Brunson, Hart, and Mikal spoke this into existence. In other words, they were tampering in my eyes. Lmao.
Welp….. No more Anunoby. I wonder where he goes now.
i keep going back and forth on whether OG is going to resign.
