Velociraptor front seat on-ride HD POV Paultons Park

- Paultons Park didn't open just one new coaster in May 2016 - they opened two! Velociraptor is a Junior Boomerang Coaster made by Vekoma. This coaster takes riders on a 37 mph (60 km/h) ride around and above the station before heading back along the same 656 feet (200m) long track. At it's highest point, Velociraptor is 75 feet (23m) tall and can be found in the Lost Kingdom area of Paultons Park, in Hampshire, England.

For a family coaster it's actually pretty good. It's taller, and faster than most family coaster
Well... considering that it being a "family coaster" puts it in the same type of ride as The Beast at Kings Island, that doesn't say much...
A lot of people are complaining but like it said in the description, it goes 37mph and when you're going on an almost verticle bend at 37mph then it does feel like a lot.

Accelerator at Drayton Manor goes at 37mph this goes 40mph.
@@crudephoenix I agree my first time on it I was takinh deep breathes and then when it went up and down quickly I screamed so much with my friend and on the bends but after a couple times I loved it and basically didn't scream

I think this is a solid addition for Paulton's Park, but I think they should have cut off part of the spike because
1) The coaster doesn't even go halfway up it
2) Making it look like a dinosaur chomped off part of the track would be cool theming
3) It would create the feeling that they are about to fly off the rails, which would be more thrilling.
+Mackenzie Fritz If the spike was cut off, younger riders might get scared of it flying off the tracks. So I guess the ride's fine with the tall spike.
GamingPro941 But that is what would make it more thrilling. Roller coasters are meant to be thrilling ans scary, and by cutting off the end, the ride would accomplish that task

I hate roller coasters...terrified of them but I would totally ride this one lol. It's slow enough for me 😊
pakeleshane1 I thought that because I'm scared of fast and high things, but it is actually really high when you're on it and fast, even my sister got scared when she went on it and she loves heights and fast rides, I would do it again tho because it was fun 😂

I've actually gone onto this ride. It feels much faster than it is depicted in this video. It probably seems slower since you're not in the thrill of it.

Doesn't look very fast in the video but when you ride it in person.....MY GOD IS IT FAST 😃😃😃 Sit at the back as well you get a full feel of the drop!

Actually, a Velociraptor is just a DInosaur. It was basically the really cute, aggressive, small version of a Trex.
my favourite ride at the park, its a mix of suspense and pure fun.

I hadn't been on coasters in a while when I went on this and I had fun. After going on colossus and saw etc it doesn't seem intense but I highly recommend to younger / less coaster tolerant people!

+Coaster Crazy press days were last weekend, this weekend is Golden Ticket winners, it officially opens to the public on the 17th. There were also a couple of publicity days in April when I did some filming for Vekoma.

That... is a weird lift hill. Also a very short ride. Just because it's got a strange lift and a ending track doesn't mean you make it short and lackluster. Have it go around a few times before ending. Jeez, coaster engineers! Get with it!

Doesn't look as good as flight of the pterosaur, but looks better than Ben 10. The theming in the area looks gr8!!! I must get down there soon to try out this, FOTP and cobra :) great investment paultons (and these coasters could help out vekoma's reputation, personally I think they should stick to family coasters but hey

+CoasterTopia - NIEUW KANAAL!!! Zie kanaal voor link Basically their new coasters in general are smooth, smoother than a lot of intamins. Especially ones with this new trackstyle, but even the new ones with old trackstyle are now smooth. It's mostly copies like SLC and boomerang that aren't smooth.

Ikr, I was on this a few days ago with school, and it was way faster.
Videos of coasters never captures the experience of the coaster. This is just the visual experience. But G-Forces and wind enhances how we experience speed.

Was that all? It actually seemed like the most boring coaster I've ever seen. Extremely slow, extremely short and just moves back and forth. How is possible to even come up with the idea of creating a coaster as bad as this?

Probably. Do you with that mean a little bit slower coaster without loops and so on? That doesn't explain why it goes back, then forward a little bit and then back again and not around like all other coasters.
+supremefantastic Yes, that was all. If you didn't know, Paultons Park is a park aimed at families with kids aged 4-10 years old. Although it might not be SUPER-LOOPY-UPSIDE-DOWNY-GEE-BANG-WHIZZ for grown ups, it's a good coaster for youngsters. And sometimes it's not all about the SUPER-LOOPY-UPSIDE-DOWNY-GEE-BANG-WHIZZ, it's about the context, theme and atmosphere.

Adventure City, down the street from Knott's, has a Gerstlauer coaster called Rewind Racers that is very similar, and in my mind better.

It's a similar ride model - Vekoma's Family Boomerang. This one's a custom layout, however - most Vekoma Boomerang models (including Family Boomerang, Invertigo and Giant Inverted Boomerang models) have copy-pasted layouts
