wow man! nice guitar and super nice price! they are triple that here in canada at 369! Yeah I agree that tung oil would bring out that grain even more assuming the wood doesn't already have a sealer on it. Looking forward to hearing it!
I purchased the same Squier Debut model in sunburst. I was pleasantly surprised. No sharp frets/fret sprout. Nice low action. Tuners held. It is going to be my go to practice guitar. It works and sounds like a Strat. A good buy for me. Utility guitar at a great price.
I'm tempted to buy one simply because I have a loaded pickguard I made with alnico v pickups and a wiring harness with big fat pots and thick braided wires and all my other Strats have already been upgraded. It wouldn't be the first time I bought a guitar because I had one spare part laying around to put on it.
Mine came today & I wasn’t disappointed. I bought black because I don’t like red and I couldn’t do another burst 💥. I can’t believe how great the neck is. I have a Fender MIJ ST 62 Strat that I play all the time because it’s so great for my smaller hand. It’s absolutely as fine as my American Strats and costs half as much. I’ve never had a Squier Strat but this one is fine as is. You might want to get some Minwax to rub on the neck. My father was a cabinetmaker and he used that on all pieces without glossy finish. I’m doing mods on 2 of my other American 🇺🇸 Strats. I like the matte finish because it’s the only one I have. Thanks for your demo and enjoy your new guitar.👍☮️🌞🎸🎵🩵
it used to be lots better haha! i worked in a factory(lawn mower) several years ago and was exposed to chemicals and fumes that messed it up... thanks!
@@birdman316 My pleasure Brother! Here is a tip...Do you enjoy ridin or Jammin? I screwed my wrist and now I am a lefty! or a little bit of both!! We be Jammin!🤣🤣🤣🤣. Cool reply BBBbird!
It's really quiet surprising that a $150 guitar can be as good as a fender stratocaster with 200$ worth of modifications when a fender stratocaster usually runs around 700$ for a lower end one. I would just get a squire really not miles away in quality for not that much investment. Seems like fender are charging at least 500 dollars or so more just for a little better tuners, pick ups and bigger fender logo on the headstock. Fender stratocaster guitar I'm seeing about 300$-400$ not what they are asking.
very true...im even seeing sharp fret edges on about 3 out of 4 higher end fender strats(mexico versions seem nice).... seems like the big names love theyr customers lol!
@@birdman316 fender stratocaster aren't bad just don't really think they are worth as much as fender ask for them would not pay over six hundred dollars for any fender stratocaster. If I get a fender stratocaster will have to have locking Floyd Rose and humbucker in the bridge and then I might pay over seven hundred. Just get a squire and modify it you save a lot of money and it only cost about $200 to modify it enough to be like a regular fender Stratocaster.
sounds nice but the pups are a bit weak... i put up a stock soundtest on this one...if you can stomach my bad playing youll get a idea on how it sounds lol! thanks for watchin!
I just don't think they are using good material in these guitars even in 2024 I do realize you can find a decent Squier every once in a while if you get lucky but I haven't ran across many at all.
Want to get one with the wide headstock Olympic white I don't care if it's a squire but want a humbucker in the bridge pick up and a Floyd Rose bridge. Fender fat strat with wider headstock Olympic white with gold hardware and Floyd Rose it's okay if it's a squire as long as they make it the way I ask. I'll pay at least 300$ for a squire like that. And no you're right the pick ups are not as good as high end guitar's neither are the tuners but they aren't terrible.

Define good and which material, your statement is so broad.
@@bluwng to me good is grover locking tuners, Floyd Rose trem, Seymour Duncan pick ups, get one like that and it's pretty good..
