Richard also won for the most matches at a total of 12. Brett came in second matching 8 times, Patty Duke matched 6 times, Ron and Charles tied matching 5 times, and Patti matched twice.
One of the great things about Patti's answers was she would never bother to try to explain them. You either got it or you didn't. And certainly there's plenty of evidence that she COULD match contestants but obviously that's not exactly what she hired to do. Of course people are there to win money, but there are a lot more watching at home and hearing plebian answers like dishrag from everyone wouldn't make for very good TV. I think even if you can't stand her, she's doing her job. (Ditto Brett but that's a whole other comment!)
