    BEST MOMENT: CNR made Scoey crack up!

      I don't think Scoey was feeling well, so it was great seeing him crack up!

    Weird beginning. First, Olsen extends his opening line, then the turntable STOPS.

    H/H match update:
    ...
    Today's action:
    Our champion needed "Boobs" from both Scoey and Betty to stay in the game, but it didn't happen. He had won a single game and earned $2,850.
    Today's audience match question: "Book of ________" (My thoughts: Love, the month, Mormon)
    The celebs: Richard (the month), Charles (Job), Brett (knowledge)
    The choice: Knowledge
    The answers: The Month, Matches, Love
    Oh, no. An audience match fail. First time since 921 and 917 before that.
    No H/H question today.
    ~~~Just for fun, here's how the Leader Board looked way back in episode 116* :
    Here are all the celebs (only 5) to have scored 3 or more matches so far, with their % accuracy so far:
    Charles - 62.5% (5 wins in 8 attempts).
    Betty - 42.9% (6 wins in 14 attempts).
    Bert - 33.3% (4 wins in 12 attempts).
    Brett - 28.6% (4 wins in 14 attempts).
    Richard - 24.0% (6 wins in 25 attempts).
    *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 116, excluding the lost/missing episodes 31, 32, 33.
    ~~~And here's the full list of all 37 celebrities who have so far scored a H/H match in Match Game '7x (in alphabetical order):
    Don Adams, Jack Albertson, Morey Amsterdam, Orson Bean, Charlie Brill, Joyce Bulifant, Gary Burghoff, Jack Carter, Bert Convy, Bill Daily, Clifton Davis, Richard Dawson, Lynn Deerfield, Patti Deutsch, Ann Elder, Fannie Flagg, Stu Gilliam, Elaine Joyce, Carolyn Jones, George Kennedy, Jack Klugman, Michael Landon, June Lockhart, Allen Ludden, Mary Ann Mobley, Jo Ann Pflug, Charles Nelson Reilly, Madlyn Rhue, Isabel Sanford, Brett Somers, Kaye Stevens, Trish Stewart, Loretta Switt, Richard Thomas, Bobby Van, Betty White, and Jo Anne Worley.
    ~~~Finally, here's our standing leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy:
    (Note: An asterisk before a celebrity's name signifies that she has "retired" from the show and her H/H stats are now complete.)
    (Note: For tied scores, I consider the one with the greater number of matches to be higher; if the matches are equal, the celeb who first achieved that score goes on top.)
    Orson Bean - 100% (4 wins in 4 attempts).
    TIE: (*)Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts).
    TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts).
    Gary Burghoff - 71.4% (5 wins in 7 attempts).
    Charles - 50.8% (33 wins in 65 attempts).
    TIE: Betty - 50.0% (19 wins in 38 attempts).
    TIE: Fannie - 50.0% (13 wins in 26 attempts).
    Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts).
    Richard - 41.7% (249 wins in 597 attempts).
    Brett - 41.2% (28 wins in 68 attempts).
    Bert Convy - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts).
    *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 932, excluding the lost/missing/damaged episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325, 645, and 910. (As per MatchGameProductions, these episodes "are nowhere to be found and also aren't in the Goodson/Todman Library. Sadly, looks like they are lost forever!") -- Also, note that episode 849 was never produced.
      Book of Knowledge was a children's encyclopedia. It was a staple of schools and children's reading rooms in libraries until at least the 1980s.
    Gene only knows old show tunes, never any pop or rock songs or artists. I was surprised a few episodes ago that he had heard of Janis Joplin.
      well the original Book of Love was recorded by The Monotones in 1957, and was featured in the movie American Graffiti some years later. If someone didn't follow the teeny-bopper bands at the time they wouldn't have heard of it. To be fair, he didn't know Smoky Robinson and the Miracles either in another episode.
    15:21 look at how betty saw gene looking at her chest and immediately put her hands there. Not sure if that meant anything. (and yes i do know gene wasn’t looking at her chest, he was just looking at the necklace/pendant)
    16:42 “no shed” 😂
    10:09 -- Yet again, Gene Rayburn is remarkably ignorant of rock music. Who the heck hadn't heard of "(Who Wrote) the Book of Love" in 1977?
    Does anyone else think that "wooden leg" is a rotten answer? It's attached, of course he carries it over the threshold. That's not weird. And "treasure" isn't either. "First mate" would be weird, but no one said it.
    Big nose 👃 rubber lips 👄 Dawson squealing on cnr eating. Big deal, Dawson was always smoking. And Brett was always eating or gagging. Nothing said to her.
