Hi this is a pretty good guide and i understand the basics but I’ve just entered a team for the first time, what happens when a player doesn’t start the game but comes on in second half and scores does he get any points ? as in the case with Nunez today I don’t seem to have scored any points on this player , any help much appreciated.

what's the difference between head-to-head and classic scoring?
also, is there a traditional draft (like american fantasy football) or does each player get to pick from the lot? (for example, could all of us have Kane at striker or could only one of us have him for the whole season?)

To answer your first question: A 'classic' league is where all the teams in your league are ranked by their total points. Whoever has the most points will be leading. It's the usual way to play the game.
With 'Head to Head', it works more like a league table in real life. You basically have 1v1 fixtures every week, whoever gets the most points that week will get 3 points. 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. You'll then face a different team in that league the next week. Essentially you can win a head-to-head league without having the best overall FPL score.
To answer your second question: The standard way of playing FPL means all of you can have any player they want. You could all own Kane if you wish. However, last year they also released a draft version which is more like american fantasy football, where you all take turns to draft in a certain player and no one else can own them.
The regular game is more popular, but if you prefer the american stlye, perhaps use the draft option.

I bloody missed the deadline for this season, I was too busy trying to decide on my Sun Dream Teams. This is my 1st time ever playing Fantasy football, I'm doing alright though, my team 'Lucky Conte' is currently 6365 in the table with 213 points. I will have to do FPL next season and destroy you all, just got to learn how it works 1st and your video has helped alot, thx. Sun Dream Team is a hell of alot less complicated to play than this is, blimey!

Andrew Green Hey Andrew, yes you can. To change formation you just substitute in the appropriate players from your bench, and your formation will adjust automatically. Once the deadline for each gameweek hits, your chosen formation will be locked in for that gameweek.

Do you get a triple captain each week?
I know I sound stupid but when you choose a team is it for the whole season or is it only for the game week?
Because I just created one like a week ago and the premier league started 3 weeks ago
It's for the whole season Ahmed, but you can make changes to the team every gameweek with 1 free transfer and additional changes at the cost of -4 points. You can also use the 'Wildcard' which allows you to completely changed your squad if needed. Hope this helps.

Before gw 1 starts u can change then only 1 player per week...
If u wanna do more then one then it'll take - 4 points per player, so be careful with it...
Can you reset it if accidentally saved with a wrong player?

well me and my mates create a league and put in a bit of money so that at the end the winner takes it all ps if you do massively well and get in the top 10 smthng at the global level you get great stuffs bruv

It won't carry through bud. You have to use it before it'll go to waste!

I still have some questions coming from fantasy football and basketball. Are you on a league or do you compete against everyone playing? If thats the case then can you sign any player you want or just the ones that aren't signed by other teams in the league?
There is a ‘draft’ version which isn’t very popular. In that you compete with friends and no one can have the same player.
The popular format however is against everyone. And you can own whoever you like, regardless of who else has them. The regular game is what my channel and this tutorial are based on.

No problem pal, happy to help. A ‘private’ league is what you’ll want to set up to get your mates involved. You will be given a special code which your mates can enter to join, and you can also set what week the scoring starts from (because the season is already 10 gameweeks in). So you can start the league from Gameweek 11 if you like!
