LoL....As I'm watching this and listening, it hits me .... I'm not weird, there's other people that are just as into fish tanks and fish TH-cam videos as me!!
I think this is the first time I have been aware of the size of some of those Rainbows. Bentley like his fish, is a genuine guy, no attitude, just the kind of guy you could sit and talk fish with for hours. Good video!!
Thanks for checking out the older videos....some are super grainy or shakey, but there's some kinda fun stuff in some or them.... aaaaand yes, Bentley has some incredible fish...from your native nation heh
Glad you like them, I'm personally a huge fan of all the Nymphaea species can keep a good number of them through my various tanks. That field of Tiger lotus all started from a singular bulb!
Just got my first rainbow fish 2 days ago, and now I absolutely want more! Love the video and enjoyed the beautiful tank. I also noticed he's a WoW player too! :)
Speaking about the municipal water is 100% true. I used to pure tap water straight from the tap and while doing that I was putting de chlorine in it. But one day once I started purring water there was a so much chlorine in the water i wasn’t able to see anything beyond that. So now I have to use buckets no more python.
One thing I learned? They really get along with Rosy Minnows..the two species interschool and male Bosemanii try to breed with female Rosy's who look to seem to accommodate. So,if you have a 55- 5,000 gallon and starting with Rainbows...the Rosy's can sort of enlarge the look of a half dozen rainbows to a mass of them.
Awesome tank Bentley!! I noticed a German electric blue ram, I thought they were hard to keep with rainbows cuz of the temperature ? I like your videos. Thx, Charlie Galanti
These are all gourami fish from southeast asia. Powder Blue Dward Gourami females, and then the golden ones are called a few things including - sunrise gouramis, sunkissed, with honey or golden being the most popular names on the west coast
The Secret History Living in Your Aquarium lol no angelfish are not similar to Gautami, nor are the rainbowfish... please don’t comment on things you know nothing about.
what are you talking about? I'm so confused here. TH-cam says your commenting on a video of my 40 gallon breeder tank full of blue and gold GOURAMIS* and gold shrimp ...if you're seeing some other video with angelfish then the comment response app isnt matched to the right video. I already stated that I have no angelfish....I know that gouramis are from the opposite side of the world...they're labyrinth fish that gulp air and live I'm muddy pools, the angel fish are south American cichlids that like clearer but tannic water with a more neutral ph, where as gouramis want leaf litter and have tiny fry and do not care for their young like a cichlid. So please dont say I "know nothing about", my own tank and video.... ...you're being unclear on what fish you are referring to. and since there are no angel fish in this video according to my alert app. I guessed you were mistaken and though of the only fish that even vaguely resembles an angel.... the only video I've made with an angel fish is the aquarium zen store tour and then one at my friend Bentley's house who has a few leopoldi and altum angels... blue or platinum striped variety. if some how you are watching a video with angel fish other than Bentleys TH-cam has mislabeled what you're talking about
very nice rainbow collection, especially the parkinsoni, never seen such colour in parkinsoni. And what happened to boesemani rainbow at 1:28 ? swim bladder problem or just kind of deformed body?
I think genetic issues is what Bentley told me. So it looks like a spinal issue and a swim Blatter issue...but hes scooting around okay for now I guess.
Gorgeous fish!! In the first tank there is a dark metallic rainbow fish, I can’t tell if it is burgundy, purple, or brown. What do they look like in person? I love seeing rainbow fish videos, I need to figure out a place for a rainbow tank 😁
Those are Irian Rainbows, often just called the red rainbow. Depending on mood, age and dominance in the tank they can be a darker burgundy to coke can red. Lovely fish!
You'd have to ask Bentley... in my experience they're a bit aggressive compared to most rainbows, but they inhabit sort of different levels in the water, so perhaps it works out? Sorry i can't help more. Take care
I'm hearing some wild claims on lifespan for Boesmanni . Some as much as 15 years. Seems wildly one of a kind but others of 10-12 are almost the same. Seems like a lot of the Aquarium vids are from Nirvana land. Where's all the California guys?..wink.
At 5:17 there are 3 yellow and blue rainbow fish on the screen. The ones on the left and right look like bosemani. Then there is one in the middle thats mostly yellow, a blue head and black tips on its fins, what type of rainbow fish is it? It can’t be a bosemani, it’s too different. It stand out at 5:38, the one with all that yellow
Yes, sparingly. CO2 is only as useful as your ferts and light allow it to be, and currently my algae was removed enough that im cranking the co2 and loading the tank with any plant I have available heh
James, the dark blue in the first tank are Turquoise Rainbows. The silvery-blue in that same tank are Kamaka Rainbows. The light blue with yellow/orange fins are Melanotaenia Goldiei Dekais which came from Lucas Bretz, whom got them from Gary Lange and are fairly rare in the hobby still. The blues in the 90g (second tank) are Dwarf Neon Rainbows.
Bentley Pascoe one more thing. In the first tank there was a fish with a dark head, a orange tail amd a white strip between them. He's by the dragon stone just kimda sitting there what is he?
He is an older Boesemani who's been struggling. I've put him through a ton of QT and various meds so I think it's partially age and partially some unfortunate genetic illness. He used to be the size of the other Boesemani male in the tank and I have to admit it's been frustrating trying everything I can think of with no success as I'm a big softy at heart and hate losing fish like him.
Bentley Pascoe i know the feeling. I've been keeping fish for many many moons but just recently my granddaughter wanted me to get some guppies. I've had the hardest having any luck with them. I'm a stickler over my water quality. I test my water first thing every morning. I've probably lost 20 guppies and none of the show any signs of sickness. They are fine when i ho to bed and lost 1 every night or two till they are gone. I have neons, rasbora hets, cory, and a couple amano shrimp and have never lost one. I'm pretty much stomped on whats killing just the guppies.
Better late than never! Love both of your channels! Thank you for all of the info over the years! - Little Bobby
So Bentley is part fish.. now this all makes sense (there is a good history of fish in his family :) )
LoL....As I'm watching this and listening, it hits me .... I'm not weird, there's other people that are just as into fish tanks and fish TH-cam videos as me!!
you're home now lol
Personally I think weird is a good thing. Normal is highly overrated!😁
Watched this video many times. Thanks Alex
It is a most perfect aquarium!
The rainbow tank is without doubt the best, most naturalistic and spectacular aquarium I have seen.
Great tour Alex! Bentley has some amazing fish and plants, and lol I know the feeling when buying fish/plants
I think this is the first time I have been aware of the size of some of those Rainbows. Bentley like his fish, is a genuine guy, no attitude, just the kind of guy you could sit and talk fish with for hours. Good video!!
spot on
Great one. I really enjoyed it as I always do. Love Bentley's fish! Thanks to both of you for the time and the amazing vid.
Always cool seeing fish rooms and hearing about other peoples experiences. Thanks for the upload
Pretty tanks. ..pretty fish 👍...thanks for sharing!
Just cruising through some old vids Alex... Bentley’s rainbows are stunning hey?!🤘
Thanks for checking out the older videos....some are super grainy or shakey, but there's some kinda fun stuff in some or them.... aaaaand yes, Bentley has some incredible fish...from your native nation heh
Those tiger lotus are stunning! I really enjoy your fish room tours.
Glad you like them, I'm personally a huge fan of all the Nymphaea species can keep a good number of them through my various tanks. That field of Tiger lotus all started from a singular bulb!
nymphaea are beautiful...I'm working on propagating nymphaea micrantha var. purple morph.
The purple nymphaea was featured in one of your videos I think, definitely a stone cold stunner!
Interesting fish room. Bet part two is as good. Thanks Alex!
zebra plecos and breeding stuff!
Bosemoni's and Lake Kutubu seems to be the most colourful among Rainbow's.
Your making me want to study more Abt habitat. Especially plants.
I’ve got a few different rainbows right now too. Super into them
Biutiful. In the México.
Beautiful tank
Thank you kindly
beautiful rainbows man
big rainbow tank is nice. throw a background on tho!!!!! hahah sheesh
Just got my first rainbow fish 2 days ago, and now I absolutely want more! Love the video and enjoyed the beautiful tank. I also noticed he's a WoW player too! :)
Wassup with the fish swimming upside down 15:49😂
Speaking about the municipal water is 100% true.

Meeee too
That is one beautiful tank he has. Nice vid, new sub to both channels
welcome to the community my friend!
Awesome Bentley! Those from Gary Lange? Where do you get fish like that how many gallon tank is that. I like your tank. Thx Charlie
love this tour
I'm really hoping to do more tours. I'll be in Florida in April and need to find folks who would like to show off their rooms or farms
What were the dimensions and stocking level of that 6 feet tank ?
One thing I learned? They really get along with Rosy Minnows..the two species interschool and male Bosemanii try to breed with female Rosy's who look to seem to accommodate. Thats a electric blue acara
what kind of angel is that? ive wanted to like angels so bad and that is the first one ive ever truly been awed by.
These are all gourami fish from southeast asia. Powder Blue Dward Gourami females, and then the golden ones are called a few things including - sunrise gouramis, sunkissed, with honey or golden being the most popular names on the west coast
@@Fishtorywhat species of angelfish is that though?
give me a minute marker...but it is a gourami I think, as I do not own any angel fish...though they are similar
The Secret History Living in Your Aquarium lol no angelfish are not similar to Gautami, nor are the rainbowfish... please don’t comment on things you know nothing about.

Very nice aquarium! Is the color of parkinsonii yellow or orange? Or it depends on the variety?
I really love all the rare Rainbow you go there... Did you get them at your local stores of online?
rainbows were from lrbaquatics.com
tell lucas I sent yuh if you get some haha. he is rad
Rainbows are awesome.what do you feed them
Great job Bentley!! How many gallons? 75?
Gorgeous fish!! In the first tank there is a dark metallic rainbow fish, I can’t tell if it is burgundy, purple, or brown. What do they look like in person? I love seeing rainbow fish videos, I need to figure out a place for a rainbow tank 😁
they're a burgundy crimson sometimes and then a metallic chocolate mahogany sometimes
Those are Irian Rainbows, often just called the red rainbow. Depending on mood, age and dominance in the tank they can be a darker burgundy to coke can red. Lovely fish!
Is this the same type of rainbow as the red ones Joey has?
I think they used to be in his 300 gallon but I think he moved them recently.
Correct!
I live in auburn wa..do sell any of those rainbow Bosemani
I wish someone could make this as HD to use it for sleep 😅
Me too... my old camera was AWFUL . Appologies
Its good to know Gary Lang..ha.
how are the blue acara, do you recommend only one, with rainbows, are they not to aggressive
You'd have to ask Bentley... in my experience they're a bit aggressive compared to most rainbows, but they inhabit sort of different levels in the water, so perhaps it works out? Sorry i can't help more. Take care
You have a acara in that tank, doesn't answer the question ❓
What is the baby blue cichlid looking fish in the first tank with the rainbows??? Thanks!
Electric blue acara

pogostemon errectus (sp) I believe
Great video.......... would you tell me the name of the blue fish bottom center at the 6:53 marker.........thanks !!
do you know what fish is that i love that fish
Is that a electric blue Acara in there?
Powder blue female gouramis :)
Actually nevermind, its probably a turqouise rainbowfish
Certainly looks like an acara
that's an acara for sure
May I know how big will they grow!!
They grow about as big as the largest ones you see in that same tank
The Secret History Living in Your Aquarium thanks😀
Ha sweet 1st view & comment
How do I buy plants from you Bentley my brotha
go to getgills.com or check out his channel :)
Do you use co2
