Great vid Paul thanks easy set up as I had for my overnighters. Eventually got rid of fixed awning and now throw my 3x3m gazabo on roofrack for my setup. Best move I've made
nice and simple 😁👌 the lights have elastic on the back that you un clip and then you put light on the pole of awning and re atatch the elastic back onto the light 😎 i have a couple like them and work great 😁👍 keep well and stay safe-ish 😉🍺
Thanks for posting no nonsense video.. Gone through motorhome, caravan, van conversion , veedub , and now gone down to a Swag, ( after seeing my lads in Aus )and a 2 x 3m tarp awning affixed to suv by suckers, absolutely love it. Swags are just coming on the market in UK ( horrific prices compared to Aus) and are a rare and unusual sight at campsites. We dont have the same camping freedoms as u Aussies ( or weather!) but the spirit is the same! Nice video thank you.
Not a problem at all. Yes we are very fortunate over here with a bit of freedom and great weather. Just had some Rellys from the UK stay with us for a month while on holiday and they couldn’t believe it did not rain once 😂 Cheers mate 👍
New sub from 🇨🇦, hit the button because we all can use “lazy bugger” tips. 😁 Should be about enjoying nature, not making more work than staying home would.
By about the 12 minute mark I am already hagning out to go camping again, it is been way too long since we last went out. Thanks for the vid, really enjoyed it :)
LOL, I am commenting as I am watching (well you get more comments that way) The wind and the 'I forgot' are familar themes to me. Notice how the wind pretty much stopped when you had set up (Murphy is always watching).
Happens every time mate 😂😂 And as soon as you go to pack up the awning, up it blows again. PM me on Facebook if you like and we can conjure up a plan 👍
You mentioned you may look at a new awning and not totally sold on the 180. l have a BT50 and have just gone through this process, l ended up with the ironman delta 180, very happy with it so far. Heading to DHI and Shark Bay next week to for a few weeks to put it through its paces but positive so far
New sub after stumbling upon your channel and seeing the setup. Great setup. Any idea the brand name on those screw in stakes. Or, any ideas where I might find them in the U.S.
Hi Mike and thank you for your kind words. They are Polytuf and I got them from one our major hardware stores call Bunnings. You can also get a similar product from one of our camping stores known as Anaconda and their brand is called OZtrail. There are also a few options on Amazon so you should be able to get them online if not readily available in the US. Otherwise contact me through Facebook messenger and I could always work something out and send some over to you 👍
Good video Paul. Did the bikes go all day? How much of that goes on there? Sometimes the sound of nature is all you want. Thanks for sharing, it was interesting.
Same what works for me works for me some somewhat fancy gear but not the greatest but it’s ok it works don’t need to buy the NAME if it does the SAME job that’s just me
Still holding up, kinda. I’ve had to superglue the ones next to lights as they kept falling off. The small ones on the hinge plates are non existent. The rest are all still in place and probably cuts down the dust intake by about 60%
Great simple yet effective setup, what camping is all about
Sure is bud 🤙

Thanks mate and yeah I’ve got one of those but no room on the roof for it I’m afraid.
Greetings from Arizona USA. Nice set up. I've been looking for a new tarp and yours looks like just the thing. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Hello there hope all is well in Arizona and thank you for watching 👍
Love those people with miles and miles of tracks, who go up and down, up and down past you camp. Makes me want to reach for an RPG :)
I think the camera attracts them 😉
RPG, hadn’t heard that acronym for a while. Brings back memories.
@@purebloodnordicroamer7955 and it doesn't mean Role Playing Game LOL

Cheers mate and kind of. Gave it a rest here and there but on and off all day. Was very quiet by about 6 though.
I'm exhausted just setting up.. Nap Time

Drill in pegs are killer on the feet.
Especially that one that I always put in the way 😂😂😂
Dont drill them in ya feet then
Have a look at Bushwakka.
Do they do a 180?
Look at 23 zero equipment
Cheers mate 👍
TOYO TIRES???? Teach them how to spell it in English LOL Sounds like they are weraing out.
