Great video Paul, looking forward to the next one
Cheers Pete 👍
Great video Paul. Really enjoyable to watch. Great choice of music to.
Thanks mate 👍
awesome episode Paul , very interesting interview, some history on this track👍
Cheers Rolly, she is an amazing Lady that’s for sure.
interesting track for sure
Loved it.
@@perth4b4adventures bit rough at the end though aye
Yeah definitely had a few members of the 40psi club up that end.
@@perth4b4adventures we almost had a head on with a dick in a ram 40 psi full sending it
@@ShoeysAdventures Had a ball. Low an slow up the dunes worked great
Paul, has anyone verified told you that you are the spit of Lee Van Cleef?
No can’t say they have lol
Instantly took me back to the trip. Had a ball and looking forward to relive the adventure
Can see the Gazebo before it got destroyed 😂😂
farknell Gaz is fading away!
Noticed aye 😉
Same good looks just less to look at
Certainly was a interesting burger Paul
It was mate 😂😂
awesome Paul always a great time at Whitegum farm
Yeah it’s nice out the back there 👍
Un poco mas de Subaru!
What time of year was this? Was a lot more flies around when i went out there a few weeks ago. Less water too.
Your testing my memory now lol I think I said it in part one but from memory it was towards the end of July and we had had a very wet winter. Was a couple of years ago now.
Paul could you compare pajero sport 4wd to your wife’s forester awd is it lifted?
The Pajero sport is a proper 4wd with a central locking diff and will sit higher off the ground than the Forrester. Our Forrester is stock standard as it was driven off the lot so no lift and standard road tyres. They are two very different vehicles 👍
Paul could you compare pajero sport 4wd to your wife’s forester awd is it lifted?
That sounded like a decent burnout, Paul. Was it a 302?
I couldn’t tell you mate I didn’t see any of the cars
looked like an interesting trip Paul, the rain just adds to the trip , great looking burger, thanks for the shout out💯
Not a problem at all mate I appreciate the support 👍
Hi Paul, Great video. Taking the family north this weekend and you mentioned beaches south of wedge were soft. I was going to take them to ledge point for a morning at the beach. Is that ok for a beginner or would you recommend heading to wedge for the harder sand?
Hey mate and thank you. The beach from Ledge to Lancelin is fine as I did a beginners run there not long ago. Also the video that dropped two weeks ago is that run. You will need to make sure the tide is low or at least on the way out as it does get a bit narrow at this time of year. If in doubt the go to wedge and head north as you just can’t go wrong there 👍
Just caught up with this video. That dumped rubbish is terrible. Is it still as bad - I've never visited this area
They have tried to block off entry points and reduce traffic in the area. I honestly couldn’t tell you anymore as I haven’t been out there since Sydney road was blocked.
@@perth4b4adventures beyond the rubbish, though, it looks good. Very soft in places 😊👍
Yeah it is but the places we have highlighted are pretty much it, nothing else out there. I won’t go back as there are far better places to explore 👍
Great video Paul, you should do more of these. Looking on street-view, some of the surrounding towns are worthy of a visit, supporting the local communities. Also... awesome drone footage👍
Cheers mate, we are back out that way next episode but I do enjoy a good solo trip 👍
is that real butter ?
It’s Flora Pro Active for those that have high cholesterol 👍
Great video buddy, you can keep the flies, drive me nuts
Cheers bud, yeah a few hangers on out there 🤣
Cheers for sharing Paul👍 I'm heading off for a little run soon and had this marked as my first camp so good to see it 🤔🤔🤔 Cheers Andy🍺🍺🍺
Not a problem at all mate, great little spot.
love the wheatbelt Paul, always great to do a trip plenty to have a look at
Sure is mate and more to come 👍
They way you handled that sausage would suggest you have had much practice in the past😂
Well it is a solo series 😂
Nice vid Paul just a suggestion for a wasolo, Coolcalaya station free camp fire and 4wd tracks in abundance
Cheers mate, yeah I do need to get back there at some stage 👍
@@perth4b4adventures let me know when you’re going and I will come along
Paul, does the new water bottle come with some ginger beer in it? 😊
Hahaha I’ll have to check coz mine didn’t 😉
im a newebie thank you this is helpful!
Not a problem at all 👍
Couple of mates having a great time. Great video
Cheers mate, was a good day out 👍
yep bash your vehicles because you wont drop your tyre pressures to suit the conditions and tear up the track for others even in soft sand i can do that with pressures and gearing and not tear the track
Maybe you should pay attention to the videos champ. I quite clearly filmed us lowering our tyre pressures to 15-16psi which is standard beach pressures. Also Lancelin is a registered offroad area, that’s what it is for and by the time the wind settles down each night you can’t even see a tyre track in the dunes. Keyboard warriors like you aren’t welcome champ, go watch another channel!
Just another Karen, probably don’t even own a proper 4x4.
That's just Amoco know drivers, No idea what their buying and driving
looked like lots of fun in the dunes Paul, always plenty to do in Lancelin
Certainly was mate 👍
Hi mate, what does your after beach clean look like? One reason I don't go much is the clean up after and the paranoia about rust starting underneath or in hard to reach places.
Hi mate A simple wash the car and spray underneath with the garden hose just to wash any salt/sand off. You can put the spray into the chassis rails at the rear and flush out those as well. As long as you do this once the car has cooled down you won’t have any issues 👍
Look at a product called chasis shield. Give everything a blast with that underneath and then its just a simple hose down after each beach run
@@perth4b4adventures thanks mate - not sure if a hose with water removes all the salt deposits though according to the marketing from companies like chassis guard etc.
@SteveC-Aus yeah they will tell you that so you buy there product. You can also use lanolin spray to coat the everything now and then. If you wash straight away you won’t have any issues but if you leave it for a day or so then it would be more difficult to remove. At the end of the day any area where you go off road has its environment impact on your vehicle. Mud destroys brakes, alternators and electrical components. Salt including coastal sand can enhance corrosion. Maintaining your vehicle and choosing where to go and what you do is probably the best preventative maintenance.
Just subscribed. From Pittsburg CA USA.
Thank you 🙏 hope you enjoy the channel 😊
Could a stock Subaru Forester go okay here?
I’m some sections yes but there are a lot of soft sections where you’ll need a bit of clearance. Would suggest go with a larger size offroad vehicle just in case. Having said that Wilbinga would be a better place than the pines.
Haven’t been to rotto in over 20years to over priced for me now
Yeah most tourist places are these days. The camp ground at Uluru charges $180 per night and that’s just the camp grounds 😳
Wow that’s insane
It is pricey but I think its worth it. There are a lot more things available on the island these days and its a lot more enjoyable.
@tileux it certainly is, that bus tour wasn’t cheap and the pub has certainly come a long way.
Thw Quokka Arms has certainly changed. I think I orefer the old version :)
Yeah it certainly has. I can remember the old Temerare ll and $4.50 jugs of scotch and coke 😂😂😂
G'day Paul. Thanks for sharing. I love the drone sounds, what talent the rellies have. The bus driver's in the wrong job. Tourists are there for a good time. Heck, we should strive for a good time whatever we do hey. Cheers Paul.
Cheers mate, I think he was a little bored 😂
Nice one Paul, loved the interview. Can't wait for the rest. Cheers Steve
Cheers mate and apologies for not doing the shout out, I’m always forgetting to do it. I’m bloody hopeless 😂😂
@@perth4b4adventures Not a drama at all mate
Im impressed with the capability of the subí
Awesome. Just got a forester and I’m worried about the cvt but I guess it’s fine
They are a great little vehicle 👍
So where abouts is this this spot or is that a trade secret ;-)
It’s a trade secret 😂
@@perth4b4adventures Doh!
I remember the days when I knew next to nothing about 4x4ing. I had been taking the 4x4 out for a while before I went and did a day course up at Lancelin and found out I knew less than nothing LOL Always worth doing a bit of a training course when we start out.
Yeah I was pretty much the same 😂
I liked the bit where you didn't actually show the consistency.
Awesome vid. This pair of videos will become my go-to training video. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers mate glad to Be of help 👍
Great simple yet effective setup, what camping is all about
Sure is bud 🤙
Really awesome setup mate, my Hilux is very similar and love it, great touring vehicles!
Cheers mate I do love it 👍
Excellent review, and amazing set up you have! I watched because I have just bought the 2024 Hilux but not received it yet while they are doing the mods and add ons to it I want. Disappointing about the traction control issue this is something Toyota badly need to fix. Seems rather stupid that when off road which is when you could arguably need traction control the most, you have to turn it off, or face a possible $180.00 repair bill. Very surprised a supposedly quality brand like Toyota has such a bug in the system. Maybe it has already been fixed, guess I will soon find out!
Thank you for your kind words. Yes it is annoying and the fact the PCS comes back on when you switch off is even more annoying. Just check when you do your handover if it’s been resolved but I’m guessing it hasn’t.
I think it would of made a better video if you showed the bad things then explained how to get out telling a person is not as good as showing good video anyway just would of liked a bit more bogged stuff and recovery
Thank you for your feedback but I did actually say at the very end of the video that we do that in part two 👍
