Hi I'm from South Yorkshire and haven't registered my son for secondary school, I'm a single mum and looking for a community, some tips and resources. I would appreciate any suggestions! 👍
Hi Michelle. I don't know much about South Yorkshire but Facebook would be a good start. There is likely to be some groups on there in your area. I find community comes naturally around shared interests too so if your son wants to join a sports team or take up a particular hobby or activity, that is likely to create friendships. All the best to you both!
This seems like a really good video but unfortunately I couldn't get through the first few minutes because of the music. It was impossible to concentrate especially for people who are ND.

Any guidance on how I can get my child registered for home schooling. Do I have to inform my local council or education authority? Or perhaps the school. How did you do it? My child currently is in year 7 .. any advice will be much appreciated.. thanks
Hi there. If your child is already in school you need to inform the school. You don't need their permission and they will inform the local council. The website Education Otherwise has information about what you might want to put in your letter and what the law says. All the best to you and your family!
It can be possible, but in my experience you would need to ask your child's school for permission to do this, and they would probably want you to follow a similar curriculum to what they are doing as they might be accountable for any test results. It's worth asking though!

Wow amazing as always. There is some great tips that I will use but my daughter is only 10 but a lot of the stuff you just said we can use.
