    • @renegaderebuilds7338
      @renegaderebuilds7338  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No engine light problems here. But if it did you'd probably want to hook a scanner up to see what's causing the issue. Normally your local auto parts store can help with scanning your car.

    My mounting bracket isnt lined up 100%.
    I got the bolt in but the washer kinda rattles when you touch it. It's not at all noticeable when the car is on or driving around. Did I strip the bolt? Is this going to cause issues with my engine in the future? Runs and drives awesome, but it's only been a day.

    • @renegaderebuilds7338
      @renegaderebuilds7338  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had a similar issue but its with the rubber grommet, it doesn't seat very well. I haven't had any issue though. The other mounting points are enough to keep it in position and there is also downward presser from the hood. If I were you I would just check on it from time to time but overall I would say you should be fine. Thanks for the comment!

    • @renegaderebuilds7338
      @renegaderebuilds7338  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Trevor, no particular reason for it being plastic. This style of K&N is plastic but I do believe they offer an aluminum CAI as well. If you're wondering about its strength, its very rigid. You'd probably have to run it over with a vehicle for it to break.

    • @jeremyclark1237
      @jeremyclark1237 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trevor Foote the plastic doesn’t hold in all that heat like the aluminum does. That plastic is a better way to go.

    Does this void warranty?

    • @renegaderebuilds7338
      @renegaderebuilds7338  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. To be honest I'm not 100% sure but I wouldn't think so. From what I understand the warranty (at least mine) is only void if major alterations are made, like a new cam for example. I have the 100k Mopar Protection Plan and looking over the paperwork it doesn't seem as if a cold air intake would void the warranty but I'm sure a call to a local dealer would have better clarification. Hope that helps!

    • @renegaderebuilds7338

      I have a daily commute of 50 miles so I normally get around 25-26MPG highway but on the weekends when I get into your more regular city driving it will drop down to 21-22MPG. And honestly, the way I drive it'll get lower than that on those nice summer days. Overall I wouldn't say there was a dramatic increase in fuel economy but the throttle response and sound are night and day. Thanks for the comment! I hope this helps.
