Hi. You didn’t need to check in at T1 International again but go straight to departures because Qantas transferred the baggage to your connected flight automatically, didn’t they?
Question - my wife and son are doing Melbourne to NYC. Going Mel-syd-auck-nyc. Melbourne flight out is at 7am term 1. Arriving Sydney term 3 at 8.35am and then dept term 1 syd at 10.10am. With that journey you did, did you check your checked luggage in at first airport and not need to do it again yourself at Sydney because of the connecting international flight out? And from your experience would they be able to do that transfer in 1.5 hours they have?
@@DarylPritchardvideos thanks for confirming. And the second part, 1.45hrs in your experience be sufficient? I’m thinking of getting them a flight 45 mins earlier into Sydney if i can. Thanks in advance!
I’m flying with Qantas from Wagga Wagga to Sydney & flying with Qantas again from Sydney to London. I understand and know exactly to go staright to international transfer but my checked luggage will be processed to my connected flight with the same airline as Qantas so I don’t have to collect it at the baggage claim at either T3 or T1, is that right?

And also what about custom, do you have to do that at T1?
@@jadengo9812 hi yes Qantas booked luggage straight through, but you do have to go through security again and Aussie customs
