100% agree. I sold my TJ to buy my ‘17 JKU. I loved the TJ but it just wasn’t set up for road trips. Dependability, fuel economy and comfort for three played a part in my decision. Things happened after that, and now I’m in my second Gladiator (my 5th Wrangler based Jeep). The longest trips I’ve taken have been The Keys and Gatlinburg. The rest are local (Central Florida) trips. Open air on a back country road is a feeling that can’t be beat. Cheers!
Agreed - I love taking mine on a road trip. Another great video... I am from Florida and love going up to the mountains and doing whatever I want with it.
couldn't agree more that road tripping in a Jeep is awesome. Did a 5 week trip out west and was able to live out of the Jeep (2024 Rubicon X) quite comfortably. But I got the 3L V6 and am very happy with my choice. Sorry, but the fuel costs on a 392 are way more than I care to live with.
These motors arent set up for boost....recipe for disaster unless you forge the internals. Get this Jeep tuned turn off the MDS and feel the power. SSI Performance Group
I'd counter for one reason (at least with mine) . I have a 392 with a 4.56 gear. Sorry, as cool as you represent it to be, spinning RPMs way up at 80 MPH ain't cool. It ain't happy everywhere; you are wrong.

Good story.
I can’t wait to road trip to and thru Florida.
I hope to move there in a couple years. And maybe I’ll have a 392 by then. 👍🏻
One thing about living here, especially south of Tampa, is it takes 4 hours or so just to get out of state! And Pensacola is 9 hrs from me.

I’m hoping for the Tampa area. But we’ll see when it comes down to it.
Thanks for the advice 👍🏻

good morning. you did insane trip. ;))
I would spend every day roadtrippng in my Jeep if I could!
You should procharge it on low boost. I feel like that would be perfect for your style of driving and the jeeps setup

I'm in a Non Xr with stock 3.73 gears on 35s.
So it makes sense in you're case. Are you on 35s ,37s, ?
