But it's been almost a decade since then so not a lot of people talking about it these days. The exposition is definitely unnecessary. After a bit, we just chose to ignore it (or skim) and it "reads" pretty well as a manga without it since the story beats are good. I know that would be a challenge to adapt if they would want to be true to the manga. Coming from the first season of the anime, the moves definitely seemed ridiculous to me but after a few chapters, you get used to it because you acknowledge the roads were always meant to be the world's magic system and we actually see a semblance of that in the anime and OVAs. If it had gotten more episodes, I would imagine it would be like Killua and Gon discovering Nen in HunterXHunter. You're gradually eased into the world's magic system and you realize the signs of it in the episodes/chapters before. Admittedly, I read spoilers so it took me some time to get over it because I wanted the ratio to be more on the tricks side vs. magic. But, the setup of the roads is pretty cool and it makes sense most of the time that the ridiculous moves become pretty amusing. My favorite is definitely Kazu's evolution with the Flame Road. I think that side of it would make a fun anime but aside from the narration, there's a lot of flab that might be hard to adapt. It's still has a really strong Ecchi vibe and some things that happen are a bit much. So while I love Air Gear, I'm not hopeful because this author's other adapted work, Tenjou Tenge, also suffered a similar fate.
Maybe posting a thread on reddit an try to promote the series , if a celebrity gets fond of it and promote on X , based on the public response and ongoing talking about it, probably netflix, amazon or crunchyroll would pay a remake, at least remake by parts depending on audience, with those giants with infinite money it is all about ego competition, if we could make some influential celebrity like musk like it, probably we would get what we want. We need promotion.

From the very begining to finding fun in this new thing, to meeting others that also enjoyed it and building a team around it to compete. Theres not much out there like Air Gear. @Danur Kresna Murti the scenes from this video aren't from the original anime. But they made a 3 episode original video animation (ova) based on the manga that goes pass the anime. Ovas are basically just specials made either for DVD box sets, anniversaries, promotions, etc.
Nothing in this world never gave me the sensation of freedom like this anime. Ten years later I still have real dreams where I am using AT and riding the wind.
I know like many of you, watching this made me believe beyond the physics that ground our miserable existence. That I too could rollerblade up building walls with ease, scale any skycrapper, and eventually soar into the sky just like a crow. That I, as many you believed yourselves to be, was the chosen. But alas we are but apes. How I wish to be a child again and watch this with blissful ignorance.... good times..
I didn't know AG got an OVA. I watched the anime religiously in college. Not so much the case with the manga, though the art by Oh Great was what turned me on to it in the first place.

It's kinda sad the original series wasn't animated like these OVAs (this animation and designs do justice to OhGreat!s Art imo). Also, i did read the whole manga and can confirm it completely lost its way at a certain point, but did enjoy it anyways, specially the art.
Shame the manga was under-utilised. The animation from the anime could have been better, the OVA really shows what it could have looked like with the right budget. And let’s not forget how hard the OST goes. Shame more wasn’t done with it like a complete anime, a movie or a game

Ojalá se terminaran estas hermosas series que tuvieron finales epicos en sus respectivos mangas como Air Gear, Eyeshiel 21, Kimi ni Todoke, Holicxxx, Tsubasa Reservoi Chronicles, Tenjou Tenge, Elfen Lied, solo por nombrar algunas obras maestras de esa época. Pero bueno se que es imposible ya pasaron décadas de algunas ni siquiera años 😅
It's sad that this show didn't get extended more, I read somewhere that the show didn't go any further do to getting overshadowed by animes like Naruto, Bleach and One piece. After all this anime came out in the early 2000's so at that time the big three had the anime scene....
