I am 43 and you inspired me to begin drawing, using Gouache and other mediums! Thank You for helping me know it's not too late for a new hobby! I feel a bit weird sometimes drawing mermaids with different colored skin but it's how I found how to make myself happy!
I've recently clicked with the idea of "Perfectionism" as a block to enjoying creating art. Listening to how others get through their blocks is always inspiring. Also, deffo adding these paint markers to my Posca collection. They have such a soft, less opaque look to them that goes so well with the vibrant Poscas.
The Swan Princess is so underrated, I am so happy you drew her and I totally relate to what you said -- The Swan Princess isn't something I've thought about in so long but watching you draw this gave me such a smile!

This is very motivating I recently just got myself a set of 80 markers and this helps me alot to just testing them out and see the range of the colors I have and doodling helps get creative juice flowing. 🐅👏
Please make these illustrations into a sticker set!😍🥺 Also, art block is an artists worst enemy, and it will always be there even when we don't experience it👻

I loved the little walk down memory lane. I miss my 90s childhood lol. Since you know Swan Princess and Anastasia, who else remembers Thumbalina? Especially the toad that was voiced and modeled after Charo lol?
How did the mix media paper hold up to both types of mediums? Deserres is my go to store as well, followed by Curry’s. Had to put on some enabler protection, but I don’t think it worked. I need to check out their paint pens since I already have their alcohol markers. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art and stay safe 💜💙💛
The mixed media paper held up quite well! There was a tiny bit of pilling with the paint markers but waay less than I normally experience with many papers!
Me who studied cat anatomy to be able to draw any type of cat from memory: *draws a weird blob with ears* Imawomder: *draws a fricking amazing tiger that im so proud and jealous of*
My goodness I feel all of those types of blocks from time to time, lol Especially when you have an idea, sketch it out but it doesn't look like how you want it; I know a chunk of my issues come from comparing my drawings to other artists. I'm trying not to, but it's easier said than done 😔
