Joe, these are three wonderful examples of Gandini's design genius. The liveries of the three cars together are fantastic. Thanks for sharing and thank you to the Petersen!

The rear window of early Ford Capri of 1968 by Philip T. Clark could be regarded as the most elegant rear window. Pitifully, Ford did not adopt the idea of lift hatch then.

Very smart collection of beautiful icons. You are totally right about Gandini's common marklines.

Am I the only one that finds the Muria kind of ugly? The proportins are off and the eyelashes are a tacky afterthought.
This Gandini designs are much more interesting in style and substance.
Also, the CRX itself was amazing car, particularly the second generation (the one with the window). So few in collections, it's already rare to find one unmodified.

Never rated the Miura’s looks. Personally, I think the Jarama is much prettier.

Not sure how you can talk about Gandini and not include the Countach.

Things that people did in the past have become sacred, and no one today can do them, even if they did, they would not be like the old days. What is this nonsense? Today's car is more attractive and more advanced, and tomorrow it will be better and better. Why all this reverence for people?
