- Today we're trying on different sizes at Hollister! I haven't been inside a Hollister store since probably 8th grade so I was a little nervous to film this #midsize try on from inside the fitting room...but it wasn't as bad as I thought! Being a size 14 body, you can tend to feel like *~trendy stores don't really want you in them but I'm happy to say my personal experience was really great. Hope you enjoy!

I am mid size and always shop in Hollister. You have more choice of sizes on line.
Caroline Winstanley that’s the issue ! It shouldn’t be on line. You should be able to talk into the store grab what you want and go, not sit there pay for shipping wait a week and have it end up being super uncomfortable then you have to go to the store return it and waste tome
@@dollsNcats I don't think it's specific to being mid size..any store that has a regular turn over of styles and ranges in a season is going to sell out in a shop! Even when I am buying clothes for my kids, who are standard size for their age, I regularly can't find something that they like in their size and have to order it in line. I don't think that we need to make it a discriminatory thing..a lot of people are mid size and those sizes can go first. Granted it is disappointing when you see something you like. I just collect in store and try there before going home.
I do shop at Hollister often and on line it is often the XL and L that sell out first.. this is something that Hollister could take note of and make more in that size for a specific product.
Caroline Winstanley that’s what I’m saying though :( if it’s bought more no matter the size it should still be available when you walk in. Like stuff should always be available. Clothing is just frustrating in general. :(

Kayra Alvarez yea I understand that but I’m not even gonna lie I buy things from Brandy I’m a small person and their clothes fits good I have tried to not buy as much but it’s hard since their clothes is cute. Hollister used to have really small sizes and they weren’t marketed as a petite store. Brandy Melville isn’t classified as a petite or juniors clothes look all over their stores or websites it isn’t stated once. However Torrid does consider themselves a store with plus sized fashion. If Brandy considered themselves a petite store it’d be a whole different story
jojessica Ik it’s marketed as towards slim ppl but it isn’t called that so someone that’s not petite and maybe doesn’t know about to will assume it’s a normal store I think they should state something on their website like “a petite fashion store or boutique” bc they have mediums and tbh those mediums fit like smalls and smalls for like xs

ah, hollister. I went in there once probably six years ago, i was currently a size 12/14 and the sales associate looked at me up and down and just said “our larger sizes are online” before i could even say hello to her. i have not gone back into that store since.

as a hollister employee, id recommend you try the size options in long (15L) the sizes come in regular long and short! also if theres ever a situation where your size is sold out in the store you can have an associate order it for you online with free shipping

Can you do free people? Usually their tops and dresses and oversized but for bottoms I’m not sure. Also I’m poor and can’t shop there so I need to live vicariously through you xx thx girl

skadjkdjvoi from what I can find they are kinda inconsistent. I’m usually an 8 maybe a 10 but I can be anywhere between a 6-12 there.
i almost always size down.. i’m usually a medium but i like to go small - xs on most of their clothes because they tend to be either oversized or just run big

Hollister Jeans are so tight when you first try them on and start wearing them but after a few washes they get more stretchy and soft

I’m 21 and I never used to fit in Hollister back in high school when I was an 8. Now I’m a 12 and I love Hollister clothes! They have really good sales too. I think it super important to allow companies to grow like this.
I remember when I worked at hollister, I was always the biggest one there.
And I’m definitely by no means “big”. Lol
The skinny “brand” girls were allowed to be more of the face of the store and I usually ended up in the back or working register. Hollister has traumatized me

I really look up to you. Specifically, I want to be able to do this one day without wanting to die directly afterwards. I am currently trying to recover from a bad bout of anorexia and watching videos like this gives me hope in a way. What you’re doing is helping so many people and it’s beyond admirable.
It’s crazy how so many people had bad experiences shopping at Hollister in the past because they didn’t carry their size, but I have trauma from not being a size 0 like all my friends, and having to buy a 1 or a 3. Thank God I’m grown and past that unhealthy phase.
I'm currently wearing a thrifted Hollister shirt that's all stretched out from a previous owner so it fits my size 12 self 😂

Trent_the_Triceratops Cynara Ciraulo They can’t carry every little thing in store unfortunately. They don’t carry my size in store either. I’m a Size 2 X-Short and they don’t carry X-short in stores 😂

Olivia Cunis I actually just found that out today when I went there. Mom jeans are always too tight on my hips and thighs, but their curvy ones fit amazing

I went into a Hollister the other day and was surprised as to how the inclusivity has gone way up. I saw a ton of jeans in sizes 32 or larger and a lot more L and XL tops.Even tho I wear a 24/00 and have always fit in their clothes, I was so happy more people were going to be able to find their size!
The Americans eagle next level curvy jeans in the extra high rise are my favorite jeans they are super high rise I'm 5'9 and they come up to the bottom of my ribcage. 😊

I’m loving the positive shopping experience. Store managers treat your employees well then they will give that feeling to the customer. I totally believe the employees treating you well set the tone for the whole experience.

Thanks for the video! Glad to see Hollister has more size opinions than they did in the past. I remember going there 15 years ago in middle school as a size 12/14 girl and not being able to find anything. As a pre teen and teenager it was very upsetting.
I love Hollister jeans so much. I usually wear a 10 in pants and I have so many pairs of the high-rise jean leggings in a 30/11. I love that they have different lengths too. So comfy!
I just wanted to say coming from a midsize girl who actually works at Hollister, they really have tried to expand their sizes but things definitely still run small and even though they have bigger sizes they do not have a lot of them in stock since their average customer is of a smaller size. Also, normally they do not have size 17 in store, it is an online only size, the only reason they would have it in the store is if someone bought it online and then returned it in store, so we then keep the item in the store but there is nothing else like it.
I just wanted to say thank you for always making videos like these. I’m 14 and pretty tall and it’s hard to find things that I’ll be rly comfortable in wearing and watching people like you and Sierra help me in so many ways. Thank you so much for everything. 💜
I remember going to a hollister in middle school. I had saved up my money so I could buy some jeans from there (because all the cool girls had them) I asked a worker to help me find my size, at the time I was a size 10, which was the largest size they had. She had to get a step stool to get my size down from the very top shelf. It was one of the most traumatizing experiences and I never went back.
Yay! So glad you discovered the magic of Hollister Jeans. As a fellow tall girl, those long sizes in those jeans are a lifesaver for me.

The first time I went to Hollister was in high school, I went in with some friends who loved shopping there. While they were shopping I looked at some of their tank tops and I looked up and one of the employees was looking at me and she scanned me up and down and laughed to herself. I left and never went back in.
It's good to know that they have changed their sizing.
That white top was so cute on you (&generally)! Sidenote - I really loved the first pair of jeans on you - they might not have felt a perfect fit but they sure did look it! And there we have another example of how subjective just about everything is! But great that your experience at this shop was so much more positive than expected!!!!
I don't want to say this in a weird way but seeing someone actually show their tummy that isn't perfectly flat is so nice. I developed a larger tummy from alcohol abuse and a eating disorder and there's really nothing I can do and honestly it makes me want to drink more some days but seeing people like you and Sierra make me realize how crazy it is to put society's body expectations before my health.

I worked at hollister for 3 years, not ONCE did I hear an employee say anything rude to/ about a mid or plus sized person. It really is a better environment now than back in the day. Kindness is key 🔑 🌸🌸🌸

Hollister carries my favorite jeans! The trick is getting the advanced stretch skinny jean! They are so stretchy and so comfy! I own like 10 pairs and online they have really good deals and coupon codes going on.
I ended up picking up those light wash distressed mom jeans from this video and they are SO CUTE, thank you for doing this, I never would've stepped foot inside a Hollister otherwise!!

I’m new to your channel and from the UK and i am living for this playlist. I don’t fit in the plus size section and although you can find my size in a straight section, it is very hit or miss in sizing and how it fits my body as i’m curvier. I definitely relate to being a midsize body!

man the lighting in Hollisters were ALWAYS tragic, as if their sizing was not already bad. Great to hear that they have more inclusive sizing then when I was in high school! It always made me feel bad about myself that I couldn't have the "cool" jeans. I'll have to check them out!

the cut on jeans are all so different. I can be anywhere from a 6 to a 10 which is a big difference. I'm glad people were kind to you. Everyone deserves that regardless of size.
When I shop at hollister I actually get longs and I feel it makes a big difference!! I’m 5’8” and it takes away the camel for whatever reason. Obviously that’s not an option for the crops. The super skinny vs the other fits are also very very different from each other too. Hollister is odd, but when you find a style and fit you love, it’s your jam. Hahaha. I used to be a die hard American eagle jean only girl and now I have a mix since rediscovering them again after the high school days

You can buy the jeans in tall/regular/short online!! Meaning the inseam varies and could help with the mid rise issue
