Thank you for your lectures, I'm enjoying them as a student who studies bioprocess!

Glad you like them! Let us know if you have any topics related to bioreactors you would like to learn more about as we are keen to expand on these videos.

Could you please insert the link here for the bioreactors lesson 1? I cannot find your second lecture, it would be really useful.

The link to the first video is here: th-cam.com/video/dvh2jPvAa-Q/w-d-xo.html. I think you make a very valid point, I have now created a playlist with the order you should watch the bioreactor videos in. This is more of an introduction and I will make a separate playlist with more specialised topics (such as perfusion reactors etc)

Thank you very much for this class Prof Peeters. I can learn a lot. I am working for my Ingennier degree research, is about automation of aeration systems for activated sludge bioreactor in wastewater plants. Can I send you a mail with questions?? Thank you so much! Grettings from Chile

Sure you can email me; I can see what I can do (wastewater is not my expertise)

5:45 why putting pure oxygen puts the system in explosion ,?

    • @MarloesPeeters

If pure oxygen is being used for aeration, there is an increased risk of spreading a fire due to an oxygen-enriched atmosphere. Usually air, rather than pure oxygen, is used for aeration (this is also much cheaper, which is the main reason it is used)
