Introduction to Bioreactors: Mixing, agitation & shear

In this video, which is a follow up of the introduction to #bioreactors, we talk about important concepts such as #mixing, #agitation, and #shear. We also give a brief introduction to calculations of #powernnumbers, how to determine which #impeller is most suitable for your system and what impact shear has on #microorganisms. By the end of it, you should be able to undertake simple power number calculations and you can test your knowledge with the example provided.
