      @stevetreloar6602 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kind of makes sense when you think about it, I guess (but don't know) there is precious little room for porosity in that form. You should look into it. NZ has had some decent gold discoveries, so I presume prospecting is not out of the question, but have no actual clue.

      Yer as I put at the start GoPro audio is shit and its hard to balance it.

    • @thewaterslesstraveled8487
      @thewaterslesstraveled8487 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, i wasn't saying it was bad music, i just dislike common practice of TH-camr's who deliberately have musical transitions that are a lot louder than the rest of their videos. It isn't something that Chris usually does though (he had some technical issues it seems), something for which i am grateful 😊

    • @VoGusProspecting
      @VoGusProspecting  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@thewaterslesstraveled8487 mate the thing is none of us do it on purpose.
      Once you try mixing 2 camera files, different audio for music and the two cameras you'll see how tricky it can be.
      On top of that I can only tune the layout to my speakers and headphones. Not yours. On my phone and computer it's perfect.
      But the balance would be off on your device for some reason.

    • @thewaterslesstraveled8487
      @thewaterslesstraveled8487 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I won't pretend to know anything about video editing/mixing, i just know that the volume on so many TH-camrs videos shoot way up when they have musical transitions, perhaps it's like on TV when the commercials are always a lot louder and the TV stations defend it and say that it's just different types of sound that sound louder 😂
      It's not like it ruins my day to have to turn the volume down for music and then back up for peoples voices, just a little annoying that's all, oddly i have seen it happen with a bunch of different content creators, they start off super small with cheap equipment and limited skills but as they grow, get better at their vocation and buy more equipment it starts to happen with them too.
      I guess it's just one of those things, i still like your content though so it's all good 😊

Do you think it is long enough for very fine gold? After watching this vid, I'm thinking I may need to add just another bit to my sluice plans to try and catch the floating stuff. I did puddle and saturate the dirt for this reason. More importantly I ran the sluice at a lower angle than normal, this goes a long way to helping recovery.
      But you are correct, more mustard gold would be recovered if you set up specifically for it. Eg, gold cube.

    So if gold is always redepositing is it worth going back to a previously worked location you've already cleaned up? If so how often would you check a good gold trap previously cleaned out? Example: say you had a little drop in a creek, and you've previously cleaned out everything at the bottom of it.. Would you go back and clean it out again? How long if you would should be adequate to wait before it'd be worth doing again?
