I'm starting to like that all the Samsung devices look the same. I honestly think that'll help with the perception of the brand, if everything looks the same as the flagship.
Finally a cheap phone with an amoled display, high refresh rate and decent performance, and with headphone jack and sd card slot. It's the perfect backup phone or simple use phone.
Finally! I had the a14 for a while now, but after seeing the a15, I'm going to upgrade immediately! Since it has the smart view feature, which i use often as a feature but couldn't because the a14 doesn't have a smartview. Very useful and thorough review. Thank you for going through the menus to see all the apps that came preinstalled. I needed to know if the A15 had fm radio and it does.
Thanks so much for this review! I just bought the A15 to replace my S10, which I absolutely loved but needed replacement. If you're mostly looking to use it for texting, calls, watching YT, Prime etc., taking pics it's a fantastic phone for the price. Battery life is outstanding, pics are great, the only thing I don't like is the placement of the volume buttons, it's more difficult to ss but after watching this vid I found the shortcut for it. It's a little heavier than the S10 but it's also slightly bigger. I hadn't realized how dingy the light had gotten, my screen now shows very white and vivid colors. I'm extremely happy with my new A15! *edited to add, the new finger scan on the right side is fantastic, so much better than the S10 set up.
@NyanBites lol, yes I did. Although I absolutely love my S10, right now I'm not in a position to spend $700+ on a new phone and for what it provides it works well for me.
@fasn279 I had it for probably 5/6 yrs and it started slowing down etc., I still have it and it works but it was time to replace it. It was a great phone.

Ok brought today wow just wow what bang for buck…. 4gig ram runs smooth loud sound..iPhone feel to it no lag , refresh rate great … android 14 . Samsung u done good. For this price why buy flagships camera nice photos. 🎉🎉

planning to downgrade from ip13 pro which cost me more because of the repairs 😢 decided to just buy a decent entry level phone and change every year or 2. Samsung seems fresh looking nowadays. Will try it out soon.
So, I bought the 4gb RAM version from Best Buy a few weeks ago to replace another Samsung device. I uploaded all of my apps and my work profile and the A15 became utterly useless. It lagged, froze, and stammered through almost all functions. It wasn't able to open up any apps without freezing up and lagging like crazy. I pretty quickly realized that 4gb of RAM was not going to cut it for an app heavy and work profile experience. I promptly returned it, paid the $45 restocking fee and immediately ordered an S24+ directly from AT&T. I've been using that for the last few weeks and let me say - it's 100% the best Samsung or Apple device that I've ever used. Unreal speeds and great battery life. The $45 lesson here was that you get what you pay for when it comes to Samsung.
If you're using high powered apps or doing serious gaming it'll lag. This can do light gaming. I'm rocking an el cheapo Moto with only 3 GB RAM and it still works great but will lag if I open too many apps. You can go another tier up to a35 or a55 to save some money but seems like you're a power user.
Why on earth would you put everything on the new phone without even checking the specs? Do you even know what your RAM speed and ROM storage is before you purchased it? You paid almost 6 times more for the flagship when you could have gotten 8gb RAM 256gb ROM on the A15
Thanks - Last month we Had the option of getting this phone, but for the money, nothing beats the Poco M5s. which is a lill older, but the cpu (G95) is almost as fast as this and it has an IR blaster, it's also thinner and have thinner bezels, comes with a charger n case, and has faster (33w) charging than the Galaxy, oh and it was like $60- bucks less. I am glad Samsung is placing now Oled screens on their budget devices.
Just upgraded to this from my A12 and the first thing I noticed was the improvement with the camera/filming. The one thing I can't figure out is how to assign the "coin" sound to the PayPal app for when I receive money in my account. Had it set up perfectly on my old phone. That is my only gripe at the moment.

If a $200 works fine for 2 years I'd say that was a good deal. Some phones cost 1k and get slow after 3-4 years, but they'll always be quicker than a budget phone, which is fine.
It's basically disposable at this price. Honestly budget phones nowadays are pretty good and unless you're a power user doing serious gaming this is all you need. They're currently offering this here in Philippines for $220 in 4gb of ram without a charger, if you buy their brand charger it would $50 so it all amounts to $270 is it still worth it for just an entry level samsung phone 😅
Avoid the 5G version lol. See notebookcheck review. 😅
Can I get Samsung galaxy a15 5G with 6/8 ram? I think 4 is low
I agree. They never tell you that Android itself is going to suck up nearly half of that ram. And some apps are little better. Might as well say it has 2gb.
The new sim tray is a downgrade in the a15 since it can't use dual SIM along with sd card.
great back up phone
backup phone, nothin'! I'd drive it daily. : )
If this Phone has Ois, Ip54 And a Good display Protection This phone Would be the best budget phone
