Hello, love your videos - when I was a child I took ballet and some tap classes at a fancy ballet school for a number of years before moving onto soccer and violin lessons. Then real life began with school and getting and maintaining a career. I have found myself thinking about what would have happened if I had continued with any one of those activities I had in my younger days including ballet which I enjoyed. I love that you’re pursuing something that you truly enjoy - you are inspiring. It is very apparent you are working hard at what you do. Would love to see a what’s in my ballet bag video if you have the time.
I know that feeling well, of what would've happened if... I hope you know there's always time to pick these things back up whenever you can/want to again! Thank you so much for all your kind words! I'll add a what's in my bag video to my to do list!
I'm more into sensual dancer then being a ballerina to be honest. I love ballet no matter what and I'm grateful to be a part of a community that supports us adults with a dancing dream. Flamenco is much of my journey now its alot more grounded art form and very expressive with passion.
hey veronica ♥ sending you love and wishing for a smooth recovery! ive been a viewer for a long time and i rarely comment on videos and posts, but i starting dancing again after a super long break and i just had to say that i really love watching your videos and hearing your stories about your ballet journey. thank you so much for posting and sharing this with all of us ♥
Her videos are so inspiring.... They inspire to join this one dance school that does ballet for adults. I feel inspired to join them and I just turned 30 a few days ago. I have been doing salsa dance since I was 24 but I would ho a few months and I would stop a few months. It was always on and off. Now I have leveled up salsa so much because I was consistent and I receive so many complements for how I dance, which is great because my teachers are pretty strict and you don't get positive feedback easily from them. I have improved my salsa moves so much and I am so so close to where I want to be in dance, but I am also 30 now. The kind of freaks me out. Many dancers who are super advenced or even professional started when they were 18 or 16 or even 8. Some started later (60 for example) and the became super advanced in dance. I am so so close to reach that level. I wish I was consistent with doing dance classe when I started at the age of 24. I would have been that high level dancer by now. I am getting there now. Everyone has their own path. Luckily at my dance school they don't care abot age and adult dance classes are taken very seriously unlike the other dance schools that don't even do classes for adults. This channel is so inspiring!! It inspires me to try ballet for adults!! I love exploring different dance styles. I did tango classes for a few months too. It was an amazing journey.
You're so right! Everyone has their own journey. I understand the feeling of wishing you'd started sooner, it's easy to dwell on what could've been. But I'm sure all the wonderful experiences you've had up until this point have lead you right to where you need to be!
Enjoyed this. Port de bras is a great focus for relative beginners as underlying physical demands are not that great. When you are healed would love to offer a pointe consultation in addition to so supporting pointe private lessons
Thank you so much Marsha for all your offerings! I have some other professional guidance for the time being but I'll keep you in mind if I ever need something like this!
My goodness, I can't see a couple inches in front of my face without some kind of corrective lense and I'm not a candidate for lasik. Also I have to have bifocal contacts to be able to see how to drive. One sees near; one sees far. I guess before contacts existed, bespectacled people with vision as bad as mine must not have been able to dance ballet. That's sad. Yay for science, at least in my case. (Some people can't have contacts at all, sadly.)
Great video!! Always enjoy hearing your wisdom and experience. That’s so cool that you did Burlesque Jazz & Heels!! I never would have thought! I also love sensual dance. So excited to see how that will eventually unfold for you. I also FEEL you when you said if you had all the $$$ you would be in the studio all day every day. I feel the exact same way. That’s my dream.
Hi Veronica, I recently found your channel and I’m so glad you popped up because your content is truly chef’s kiss - thank you for always being open and honest in a world where that’s extremely rare ❤ I wanted to ask you something - and please excuse me if this is a weird question, obviously you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to - is there a possibility that you might have ADHD (perhaps inattentive type, which is the one that’s more common in women)? I myself was diagnosed a couple of months ago (after I had been researching it for a long time & everything just kept making more and more sense as time went on) I’m asking you because in the very 1st min of this video, you mentioned a few things that made a lot of sense to my ADHD self: our attention spans being shot to hell, letting your dishes slowly pile up until it’s this insurmountable task, “struggling” to observe timelines when posting videos… Idk, perhaps these are all just coincidences (after all, ADHD symptoms are normal human behaviours - it’s when they are “too much” or when they make your life somewhat dysfunctional that issues arise), but tbh this is not the first time I happen to ask myself that question when watching a video of yours, so I figured, why not point this out, even if there’s just 1% probability that it could help you or someone else reading this out? I really hope this doesn’t come across as offensive, I just mean for it to be food for thought! 💕 PS excuse me for any mistakes I made, English isn’t my first language lol
oh dude, I for SURE fall under the ADHD umbrella lol. There are just some things I prefer to have boundaries with when sharing my life on the internet. But I really appreciate your kind heart wanting to help! That means so much, and thank you for watching my videos! and P.S. your english is excellent!
@@VeronicaViccora OH and in the end I did watch this one til the end, it was really interesting and I’m sorry about your injury, hope you recover very soon!
Hi I love your videos , at what age you started ballet and after how long you went on pointe? I always wanna start Ballet but I'm 23 and I'm feel kinda old😢❤
Just go for it! The point is to live your life, if you are interested, do it! This is coming from someone who's 33 and am so happy that my first ballet class since childhood is this coming Wednesday. There's no such thing as too old to enjoy anything.
Omg you have SO much time!!! I didn’t start until I was 27/28, danced consistently for a little over a year before getting on pointe! I have my whole dance story up on TH-cam and have been documenting the pointe journey now too for more answers to your questions!
As mentioned by others - go for it! Don’t spend your time now worrying only to regret it later! I started just this year at 25 and I am so happy i started! It can be scary to take the first step but you’ll never regret giving it a go ❤

Have you tried doing floor barre? It might be useful, specially when you're recovering from an injury
