Hey Ken and Thia, I believe we sold you those two bigger Alpine fellas.....nice to see them in such good shape doin good work....good looking string. Makes my heart glad.
Hi Quinton. Sorry if I don't remember your name, but if you used to live in New Meadows, I'd, then yes, these are your boys! They are great goats and we've taken many pack trips with them. If you haven't seen our other videos you might enjoy watching those too. We renamed the boys "Bean" and "Bacon" after one of our favorite hiking routes. We think they are 11 or 12 years old now and this past summer we stopped packing them with weight and just let them tag along with us while the younger goats do all the work.
@@kenthiasoutdooradventures2294 yep that was us. I watched one of your other videos, I'll check out the rest. Really really thankful you folks gave them such a good home and good life. Happy Holidays and new year. Maybe we will see you on the trail
@@kenthiasoutdooradventures2294 just puzzled out you are doing the PCT next summer so maybe we'll cross trails in the future lol. Good luck you two, safe travels
@@quinndawsonosgood5261 Yes, we're going to start our thru-hike of the PCT in less than 3 months! We really wish we could figure out a way to take the goats wish us, or at least use them on part of the trail, but the logistics are pretty daunting. But if our PCT experience is positive then we're already planning a thru-hike of the Idaho Centennial Trail (length of Idaho south-to-north) in 2021, and for that hike we WILL take the goats!
Beautiful country. Would love to have areas like that where I live in Ontario Canada to take the goats hiking. Maybe one day I will get a trailer to haul my goats but for now we just hike to a couple of local bush lots. Nothing like yours tho. Thanks for sharing.
