And addiction isn't an overnight thing, where you drink a glass of wine once and suddenly you crave it all the time. People that develop addictions are the ones that have formed the habit of consuming their substance of choice, in this case alcohol, on a regular basis, to the point it's become a routine. You've become addicted when you can't break the routine easily, so it's normal for people who feel like they're getting near that point, or have passed that point, to want to cut back using a crutch of sorts, to prevent a relapse or the addiction getting worse. Think of cigarettes, going cold turkey takes a toll on your system, that's why nicotine patches and gum exist, to wean you off easy. In the case of the gum it also satisfies the oral function of smoking, this fake wine serves a similar purpose, tho as the singular method of recovery I don't think it'd be very useful without weaning off at the same time.
Make sure to get oak cubes from a beer or wine making supply! Hardware stores likely have pressure treated oak cubes which is not food safe! You could also use oak chips, but they will have a stronger flavor.
I'm a Muslim studying biotech so we dabble a lot in fermentation, including wine fermentation, and it's always makes me sad that i couldn't taste wine. That's why this recipe makes me excited! Thank you!

What if I mixed it in a 750ml bottle, with 95ml of 190 proof grain alcohol? This would make 12% of the volume of the bottle alcohol. Do you think this would make a convincing wine? (I’m sure make a wine would also make a convincing wine, but I’m curious what you think of this idea)

We let it sit for two more weeks, where it didn't start fermenting again. Lastly, we bottled it. Problem is that the fermantation started again AFTER bottling it... how is it possible and what should we do now with the mead?

Adding straight honey won't work. Try making a honey syrup with 50/50 honey and water by weight. It'll mix much easier, but dilute your drink more, but solubility much more, but discolor your drink slightly, but makes cocktails faster, but takes effort to prepare, but it's easy to prepare....
This is a good recipe but the reason I don't drink wine is because I don't like the taste so I'd honestly just drink the grape juice and call it a day😅

I'd rec pomegranate or cranberry for a similar not-too-sweet acidity and flavor depth, but cranberry especially I think will work great. if you end up trying it, I hope you like it!!

Alcohol is an unavoidable byproduct of the fermentation that makes it wine or mead. There are ways to remove the alcohol once it's made, but if you can't even accept a drink that ever had the alcohol present, you need to do blending like this to reconstruct the flavors.

Yes they are Oak wood. Many drinks can be made with certain woods. You can probably search online for the Oak cubes made for this process. :)
