    Analysed this a bit with Stockfish, if white plays Qc4 on move 19 instead of taking on e5 (13:08), there is an even crazier line where you sac the queen, promote and sac the queen again:
    19. Qc4 Nf6
    20. d6 Nd5+
    21. Kb3 exd3
    22. Qxd5 Be6
    23. Nc4 d2+ (If we take the queen it's losing because after white takes our queen with the bishop, the rook protects the back rank)
    24. Nxe3 d1=Q+ (we still can't take the queen because after Kc2 all the promoting squares are protected)
    25. Nxd1 Bxd5 (now the Knight no longer protects f1, allowing us to take the queen with check and promote)
    There are better lines for white after Qc4, just thought this one was hilarious.

      Do you see any poisonous lines for black after this 19.Qc4 variant? I was studying the position, and although the engine gives black an edge I see no way to take advantage for black.

    • @weilbaum2100
      @weilbaum2100 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@peteryonts665 after 19. Qc4 Nf6 the threats are Nxd5+, exd3(followed by Nxd5+ if Queen takes, winning the queen eventually) and Be2(attacking the pinned piece again). Only move for white that doesn't lose on the spot, is to play Nxe4, stopping all the threats, which we will take back with the knight Nxe4+(The Queen sac line doesn't work here, because white can take back with the queen, covering the promotion square). The problem for white is, even with perfect play, the white king is stuck in the center of the board, even though you're still up a piece, the knight on h8 cannot be saved and will be captured eventually, and then there is the f2 pawn, which probably will promote at some point.

      @@francismartinevans O-O is an excellent response for white, but the evaluation from Stockfish is deceiving. A line that leads to *at least* equality for black is 5.O-O Nf6 6.Nc3 d6 7. Bg5 Na5! 3:00 7. Rf1 is playable, avoiding some of the Nf6-g4 dangers. If Black continues with the logical 7.. d5, 8. ed Bg4 9. Qd2 leads to a very random material imbalance after 9.. Be3! 10. Qe3 fe 11. dc e2, 12 R back to h1, when hilariously Black has got a pawn to the seventh by move eleven and White has two minor pieces and a trapped rook for his queen. Black looks a little better though as that knight likely won't make it back out.

    It sacrifices every piece, but I'm good at finding gambits that sac the king too.

    Lukkini :) - a new thing but i always play like this in chess960 - push a pawn under attack to gain activity of the pieces that recapture my pawn :)

    Problem for Black starts with this one when white makes move with bishop threatening the queen instead of moving with knight on g5.

    King on C4 was all part of the end game plan for White. I mean Black's king can't castle and is still on the edge of the board. ;)

    Even if white does not go into the trap with Ng5, and instead goes for Nc3, the position seems to equalize with best play on each side according to my lichess analysis, so it's not like black is sunk if the trap is declined.

    Maaaan, I've been getting behind a pawn, knight, bishop, rook and queen before it was cool.
