I was watching Cars the other day. I hadn't seen it since I was probably 8 or 9, so 2008 or 2009. As I was watching it, I realized this is a rip-off of Doc Hollywood!
For some reason, this movie stuck with me ... it's funny, it's sweet, it's memorable The message is a total cliché but it doesn't matter ... it's good anyway: love and people are more important than money
I saw the premiere in Australia in a private cinema by Qantas. Long story. Used to be a top selling travel agent. It's a SURPRISINGLY good film. Watching now on free to air tv in Ozstraya
I bet the guys that had the idea for the movie Cars. Saw this movie and thought what a perfect scenario to get stuck in an old route 66 Town. One of my favorite by the way.
This is a beautiful feel good romcom. Although I think it should have finished about 10 minutes before it did, all in all, a good film. Michael's always spectacular! *17 July 2023*
This was like a softcore P-movie when I saw it at like 6 years old. Rewatched it for the first time in almost 30 years tonight and I gotta say it's a real feel-gooder. But as a kid I fancied Nancy Lee over Lou.
I really liked the movie...I used to drive thru that little town everyday when l worked in Gainesville.. I didn't know it was the movie location until after I moved away. So l never got to check it out... shucks
