I don't know if you guys know this but Cummins grid heaters have a tendency to fall apart and drop pieces into the cylinder(s) causing damage. Thats good to know thanks, ill look more into that! I did hear about that heater grid bolt. I'm all happy I got away from the CP4 blow up failure, and ofcouse theres something differant to worry about! 🤣
Your watching too many Banks videos. There is very very slim chance that bolt can come lose and would be hundreds of thousands of miles. Banks trying to make money
Pretty cool. I have both a SRW Ram 3500 and DRW Ram 3500. My SRW has the mega cab, and the DRW is Crew Cab Long Bed. When truck shopping I was told it wasn't possible to tow a 5th wheel with a mega cab's short bed length, so I got the long bed instead in the dually. I wish I did what you guys did with that hitch. That's the best of both worlds!
i never tow over 60.. dont care at all if the speed limit is higher.. and if i find big trucks going slower than that, i stay about a quarter mile behind them.. i never pass anybody going over 50 .. life is too short to go real fast towing a RV.. save tires, save gas, save wear and tear, save money.. the folks that want to go faster can pass
I used to hook my to side of box and turning tight in a back in spot pulled the breakaway and locked my brakes. Switched to hooking in the spot above the pull handle and never an issue after that.
I loved it when you said, "I bonded with the truck." I've said that and love my RAM Laramie. My husband used to ask me, "Do we like this one? Have you bonded?"
Towing with a dually truck is always a better tow no matter who the manufacturer is. Now you don't have to worry about weight issues and breaking is also more confident because your trailer is very well within your trucks tolerances. Congrats on the new truck and enjoy, happy camping guys.
I have a 2018 Ram 2500 with the Cummins and the Megacab. I love it! I have a moonroof, and live in the desert and it lives outside. No leaks or anything. Good luck and keep going!
Your new truck is a great truck. I know peeps with all brands of truck. Learn about tire pressure. Tire traction and air pressure, especially on your Dooley will control a lot of what the truck does depending on the surface and conditions. Ninety percent of the time you will be ok. But if you get to a stuck point or an area where you really feel your traction will be a problem learn to do the work and lower tire pressure for better traction. Study how to use your drive train. Know what differential lock is and how to use it. Are you considering airbags? You have a busy 10 days. New truck, hitch issues. That’s part of the excitement. Beautiful resort. I prefer the long bed trucks. I don’t lose as much bed storage and worry less about the slide not working and even if it does work truck cabs have been hit. Keep slide clean and nothing in bed. Your setup looks very sharp. Check the level of trailer on a level surface. Check the clearance of truck bed to trailer. This is so when your truck pulls down into a drop like getting into or out of a fuel station the bed can get close to the trailer. I think I’m an inch high but I like my clearance from bed to trailer. I might be at 6”
Thanks!!! Yes, this one was heavy!!! But you could do it as long as its loaded up into the bed for you. Ours was backwards so I needed Chris to help me spin it around. Otherwise its slides nicley into place. 😊 Thanks for watching!!
I just noticed 27:16 your truck didn’t come with the third brake light camera I would highly recommend that upgrade i love it on mine when hooking up my goosenecks on my own. I need to trade my 2500 in for a megacab dually for sure 😬
We love our 2024 RAM 3500 Big Horn long bed. Have about 4800 miles so far. Mileage coming back down to Tennessee from Elkhart was not great at 8.3 mpg due to wind. We had MORryde install IS on our Alliance and had another place install a GEN Y hitch.
Irene, quick tip for driving a Dully especially when things get tight. The black line in the road from oil drops is usually about 12” wide. Use your right thigh as your guide and put it on the edge of that black drip line for normal driving and in the middle when crowded on your driver’s side. This elements rapid mirror checks or having to slow too much. Great looking truck and RV
I just use the convex to check the lines. Once you adjust, you'll do good. To really nail it down. Put some empty aluminum cans on the white lines in an empty parking lot and see how close you can get without squishing them. Really dials in your sense of position. I habe seen A LOT of dually fenders with giant smack marks from people getting use to a small suv and turning to sharp.
After dozens of those quick connected used at my home. I hate them, they end up having issues trying to connect and did not connect after being used a lot. I am switching out to a different style. Still Brass connectors but with an O-rings on the end of the male portion of the fitting. All of the quick connects changed on the RV and now will start working on changing out on the house.
24 years of driving Dodge Ram Dually inline 6 Cummins and loved it, tried all the others and no comparison.. You will grow to love the dual wheels and the largest cab available.
Congrats on your new setup! Glad you found your weight issues early. Too many people don’t realize that payload often is exceeded long before towing capacity. It is also somewhat confusing as every towing component from hitch and hitch balls to axles and frames all have their own limits and specs. Enjoy your forever truck!
Those brass quick disconnects will leak eventually. I switched to the Ace plastic quick disconnects, they’re less expensive and last forever. When they do start to leak, there’s usually an Ace close by for a replacement.
Not sure if the 3500 has air suspension for the rear leafspring but Kelderman air suspension makes a kit if you want to soften the ride a bit... if this is your forever truck. Huge difference on my 5500, made it liveable, FYI.
Tug test with stabilizers down. Reason being. If the king pin comes out the camper will fall and drive your stabilizers thru the bottom of your camper and also damage your truck when it falls. It will also take out your front cap on your camper. Think about it.
Pulling my ORV GP F28RKS with a 2011 RAM 3500 Diesel Dually. It's been a really good combo. I can attest to the pain of hitting the cab. Bought my truck with a 2" hitch ball welded in the center (used to tow a gooseneck horse trailer). I use a gooseneck hitch, but it does allow me to turn far too close and crunch the cab. I'm usually pretty careful, but I was wrestling with getting into a camp site and OUCH! Makes me wince every time I approach the truck.
All the unhooking and hooking up to a trailer is one of the big reasons I decided full-time in a motorhome. It’s a lot less hassle for me. And I’ve owned every kind of RV there is in my lifetime less a popup. And the Slide Outs topper situation is the reason I went with true Toppers on my motorhome last year. I love that set up. Thanks for the video.
Glad everything came together in the end! I’m confident you’ll have a great experience with your new RAM. We pull our 2022 Reflection 295RL with a SRW 3500 RAM Cummins, just turned 100k and no issues with power train. Keep your maintenance on schedule and you should easily join the million mile club someday! Safe travels
They don't build the Cummins like they should anymore. The block web is thinner they went with hydraulic lifters and thinner oil. Plus the emissions all adds up to less reliability. If they stick with 5w-40 it should be okay.
KEEP A WATCH FOR YOUR LIFTERS , less than 30k miles and the lifters on my 22 are Shot. Oil changed every 5k miles If it sounds like a bunch of bbs in a blender when the oil is hot at elevated idle.. they're trashed
Not a fan of those quick connects. the seal on the hose gasket rather than the other style that uses a o-ring. I am able to change the o-ring less often and often use a food grade lube on the ring
Ive broke in and put nearly 500,000 miles on 3 Ram/Dodge trucks with the Cummins motor. Do yourselves a favor and dont baby it. I drove mine hard and never had an engine issue. Also, use that exhaust brake all the time whether your towing or not. It saves on brakes.
wow nice truck. always been a fan of Ram but we got a great used package deal on a truck (07 silverado 3500) and truck camper. its been great to us but as we have found other things we want to do in life plus getting older the time has come to take the plunge with a new truck and toyhauler. we stopped at our local dealer to looked at that same truck. a beauty she is. its great to see your wife drive. even if my wife pilots for an hour or 2 its good to get from behind the wheel on long travel days. thanks again good work on your channel.
Yep, need to tell about the hitch change from the trucks! And of course in the FLA Keys, you are going to pay for all the travel these days! At least you choose your safety in towing your new RV (5th Wheel) and bought the new Dually! You are telling us the story as you speak!
Thanks for the video! I’m almost in the same boat that you’re in. I recently got rid of our trailer and we’re upgrading to a bigger one. Last week we bought a 2024 Ram 3500 Dually and the Pullrite hitch is being shipped in. I’m crossing fingers it shows up before we head to Idaho to pick up the Brinkley 5th wheel. It was weird to stumble upon your video with such a similar situation. Hopefully my pins will be correct! (As a diesel mechanic, good choice in trucks)!
Had the same Super Glide hitch and liked it with the exception of hitching up. If you are not straight in line when attempting to hitch up it is almost impossible to complete the process. Just 10 degrees off line and it will not hitch.
Super cute interior . Love the residential fridge and a small fifth wheel that’s really nice. Like you said the little divider between the bed and the nightstand should’ve been set back somewhat to make it easy to access the table. Having a drop frame is a big deal on such a small unit. Well done.
Hey guys, I live in marathon and if you guys ever need a hand with anything or package delivery when your down here, I’m more than happy to help you out. I also have a ram 3500 long bed dually with a 5th wheel hitch if needed. Just bought my first RV, haven’t even picked it up from the dealer yet. Enjoying the videos, thanks!
Hey thanks, appreciate that offer! And congrats on the new Rv coming! Exciting times for you! We actually just left the Keys today to start our journey up to Canada this summer. 👍
Welcome to the Ram 3500 Dually family. Since you’re new just wanted to point out that the Ram will not turn as well as your prior truck. Honestly, the 3500 turns horrible when compared to single rear wheel truck and the F450, but I absolutely love my 2019. There should be a clip next to the bed RV plug to hook your breakaway to, saw someone say something about that. Enjoy the truck, as I stated, I love mine even towing my 40 foot toy hauler. I started with an 2015 2500 Ram single rear wheel drive, and when I went to the dually what a difference. You will not mind when large semi trucks pass you on the open highway anymore. Hint, learn to change your own fuel litters, it’s not had and takes bout 1 to 1,5 hours. Most dealerships will charge anywhere from $400 to $500 dollars to do it. Plenty of info on where to get the filters online, just buy the right 6 point socket for the front, have an extension or two, and a swivel and you are set…..
Last year, we did the duelly upgrade for the same reason. We had a Ram 3500 srw and it seemed to pull fine, but several years later we got on the scale and the truck was about 700 lbs. overweight. We also have 2 rottweilers riding in the back to add an extra 200 lbs. We later started shopping for a duelly and found a 2017 Ram 3500 drw. It was a limited trim and had the HO Cummins with the Aisin transmission. We love the truck and we have traveled out west with it and will be coming back through the rockies soon.
The more you drive the RAM, the more you will wonder why you didn't get one sooner 😅. Chis is doing a great job driving. Thanks again for another awesome video. Safe travels.
I'm about to buy a 5500 Ram regular cab , I've been buying Rams sense 1998 and had good luck with them my last dully was 2000 , 8 foot bed crew cab , it was a beast with the Cummins but hard to park or go through drive-throughs
Yes the in-line engines make more torque lower, where the V engine make their power at higher rpm’s. The turbo break will work better too. Enjoy your ram!!!
I think what you are describing with the way the Dodge 3500 tows, is that it has a more stable feel to it vs the Ford Tremor. Which is something I noticed when I went from Ford & Chevy single axel trucks to my old 1999 Dodge Quad Club Cab 3500 Cummings Diesel was that it felt more stable over all. But my Dodge was a 5 speed manual with a flat bed, not an automatic. I had two differences though, as I was set up to tow trailers with air brakes and had no Jake brake (engine brake). Those Cumming engines pull like a bull on steroids, but that’s because they are basically the same as a Semi truck engine so I am not surprised you have fallen in love with it.
Now you can make new memories. I just sold my little 20 year old car to car max. An end of an era. If you keep that little ball on the dash on the white line of the road on the right will keep you centered also.
❤❤❤❤❤❤ When you look at the truck and RV to see how level They both are with each other - look at the bottom edge only - rocker of the truck and bottom edge of the RV - both yours look in line with each other really good.
I meant to congratulate you on the new truck with the first video. I went to an 8' bed 2 trucks ago in 2017 and will never have another short bed pickup. People like to hand wring over the extra length, but if you're not trying to close a garage door behind it you get used to it. I do think the short bed duallys look weird, but to each his own LOL. I'm glad to see the upgrade is delivering what you expected so far. I have a '22 Ram 3500 Laramie dually, same color, but opted for the sport package (bright wheels and chrome mirrors and grille). Your trailer height looks good to me - truck and trailer both appear level. Only negatives on mine so far is two: 1. those Nexen tires suck. Be religious at keeping the steer tires at 80 psi cold and you might get 20k miles out of them. 2. Factory shocks suck. I have factory air ride, so that may be why. I'll eventually order Bilsteins from Geno's Garage. I'm not a paid endorsement, just a happy customer of Geno's for the last 10 yrs. Too bad you couldn't get the 50 gal fuel tank with that cab/bed, I love mine. Kinda pricey, but there's bigger aftermarket tanks available for your config that would be worth the dough IMO. Enjoy the new truck!
Nice Truck and Rig. We love our PullRite auto slide Hitch. We put one in our Chevy truck because of the short bed, I don,t like to do it, but I can Jackknife 90 degree with no problem (parking) Love the Auto Slide, just hookup and forget about the tight turns. Thank You for the video.Dave & Nancy Lerch
One thing to keep in mind when torquing, it's better to apply the torque to the nut not the bolt because of how you're supposed to be stretching the bolt.
As a former RAM owner, I am glad to see you bought a big tourque wrench. [I loved the truck, but sold the big horse trailer and didn't need the truck anymore.] Mine (a 2004.5) had hub-centric front wheels. Those need regular re-check of the tourque on the lugs. It can be a very ugly surprise. ...ask me how I know. :)
I’m surprised the package was only 30 minutes late. When you said it had just arrived to the distribution I was like “this thing won’t arrive until 3pm.” Glad you had a backup plan even though you didn’t need it.
I always prefer to break in a truck with how it is going to be used. My last diesel I pulled off the lot and hooked up a 15k trailer and pulled it 3400 miles in the first 5 days. Rams tend to take a bit to break in, but once they do I usually saw the MPG jump, sometimes a good 10mpg, and then I knew it was broke in. They just get stronger with age.
The one and only thing you could different is the safety cable. You connected the cable to the fifth wheel hitch. What happens if a one in a million accident happens with the hitch coming off of truck? Go to hardware store, get another safety cable and connect that to the truck, like maybe one of the tie down brackets in the bed.
Travel days are always fun. 30 miles or 300 miles...still a travel day. But we RVers embrace them nonetheless. looks like a wonderful destination today... continued safe travesl
Some of the trailer service centers have the ability to weigh individual axles, so you'll know if nose down or nose high of the trailer changes the load carried on each axle. Like you did with the Ford, a CAT scale can be your friend. A nose high trailer will reduce tow vehicle weight distribution. Also a very inexpensive tire tread depth gauge to check the trailer tires will give you a clue on trailer loading. With your trailer weighing 16k, you're close to max weight on a tandem axle single wheel trailer. Nice looking truck and great sound of the Cummins engine brake..
What you think you need go one size bigger and you will be fine and it’s always better to have more truck then less and dulls make you feel so stable and a long bed dullay just rides better and the length won’t bother you after a 3 to 4 weeks of driving it and there is not a drive threw that I can not go threw even my back and that is a tight and I have a 05 Dodge 4 door long bed dullay 4x4 5.9 diesel 6 speed manual and have had this truck since new ,it’s just a thing you will love the stable feel you get and I my self I can not stand to worry about a sliding hitch that fails to slide make one less thing to worry about and get the long bed with the better ride look at all the semis with third long road tractors that get the best ride .
@@IreneIronTravels technically you’re exactly 11 inches shorter than the crew cab long box. So yes you’re correct in that it’s shorter but that’s very negligible when considering you are almost exactly the same in wheel base length which really defines maneuverability. I woulda prob gone with what y’all bought too either way because I love mega cabs but you essentially are maneuvering the same thing.
Remember to let the engine "idle down" after a highway speed run to let the turbo spool down before shutting off the engine and removing the oil supply to the turbo bearings
Hi guys. My wife and I are thinking about doing this in a couple of years. We have a over million dollar home that is paid and we are going to sell to do this. Thinking of getting a rig like yours and doing this travelling around North America like you guys are doing. Do you have a video where you talk about the costs whether daily or monthly to do this ?? Thank you for the awesome videos !!
Hello! Congrats on the decsion to do this RV lifestyle. It is an amazing way to travel and see this beautiful country. We dont really have any videos on cost for this....its just so differant for every person. I can share this insight though...... We are on year 6 of traveing fulltime. 2.5 years in an 22ft Aistream Sprinter Van...6 months in a rooftop tent...2 years in a travel trailer... and now a year in a 5th wheel. We planed and saved for this lifestyle for many years. We've been debt free since 2014. We both woked corporate jobs in MN for 15 plus years. We started our own online coaching business in 2018 and hit the road in 2019 and in 2020 TH-cam became a big part of it. Our first year we proably spent about $2,000- 3,000 per month in expenses and now its much more. Sooo many varibles in the budgets for everyone.
Aaron you are doing such a good job with the videography! Nice work 👍 And Chris, would you ever consider doing a video (or videos) about adapting to different limitations like the oven loss (or water limitations) but still making healthy choices?
Thanks Carman! I'll talk with Chris about that. It reminds me of when we were in our tent days and had very little resources to eat healthy! Lots of black stone meals with meat and veggies! 🤣
Ultra-low Sulphur fuel is terrible for these engines with all the emissions crap. I would highly recommend you look into hot shot secret additives for both the fuel and engine oil. Great company with great products, all the data to back up their claims. I've gained 4 or 5 mpg in my ram dually in the last month using their diesel extreme for initial dose then there EDT (every day treatment) or really every fill up treatment. Really great company. They also make the purest synthetic oil you can buy. A little pricey but absolutely worth it. Also, if you've never heard of the oil bypass filter (basically a 2nd oil filter) it's a great mod to catch more soot from the emissions. Best of luck with the new truck, you can't beat a Cummins for pulling or hauling a camper.
As usual great information. You’ve giving me great insight on the different aspects of full time Rv living. You have influenced me on certain considerations I have been researching as my wife and I will be transitioning to full time rving as retirement is just around the corner
For towing for 30 years I would Never use a Slider are way to heavy and do not work great, have owned 3 REESE sidewinders, its the way to go, can go past 90 degrees on a turn

The mega cab short bed is the same as long bed crew cab.
I've used quick connects/disconnects in my garden for years. You can't beat them with a stick.
i never tow over 60.. dont care at all if the speed limit is higher.. and if i find big trucks going slower than that, i stay about a quarter mile behind them.. i never pass anybody going over 50 .. life is too short to go real fast towing a RV.. save tires, save gas, save wear and tear, save money.. the folks that want to go faster can pass
There's no reason to go any faster than 65. A lot of people love to brag about towing 70+.
Always use exhaust break even when not towing. Saves on break pads
I'm sure there's a spot on the side of the box you can hook your brake-away cable, it's not allowed to be hooked to the hitch.
I used to hook my to side of box and turning tight in a back in spot pulled the breakaway and locked my brakes. Switched to hooking in the spot above the pull handle and never an issue after that.
The Ram looks much nicer under load versus the considerable squat of the Tremor
Agreed!!! 😊💪
its built by the french though now lol its the next size up truck also
I loved it when you said, "I bonded with the truck." I've said that and love my RAM Laramie. My husband used to ask me, "Do we like this one? Have you bonded?"
Ahhhhh love it! 😊
Towing with a dually truck is always a better tow no matter who the manufacturer is. Now you don't have to worry about weight issues and breaking is also more confident because your trailer is very well within your trucks tolerances. Congrats on the new truck and enjoy, happy camping guys.
We were there the same time as you guys. I'm in your video at about the 1 minute mark walking our golden retriever.
Oh awesome! 🦮
Your Sprinter van was 2 feet shorter than mine. I often wonder if those two feet would have made the difference.😅. Who knows where'd you be now.
Thanks Paul!!!! You never know! It's been a crazy ride!
Thing to note….get the long bed truck but move up to the 450 or 4500 as they have a significantly tighter turning radius than the 350 or 3500 trucks.
My '19 f450 has that wide track front axle...wow! It's a game changer! The manuverabilty is incredible!
I have a 2018 Ram 2500 with the Cummins and the Megacab. I love it! I have a moonroof, and live in the desert and it lives outside. No leaks or anything. Good luck and keep going!
Rule of thumb for staying in the middle of your lane is line up the right side wiper pivot with the shoulder painted line
I might be at 6”
Kudos to you for installing the hitch yourself. At 69, I don't think I could do it myself!
Thanks!!! Yes, this one was heavy!!! But you could do it as long as its loaded up into the bed for you. Ours was backwards so I needed Chris to help me spin it around. Otherwise its slides nicley into place. 😊 Thanks for watching!!
I just noticed 27:16 your truck didn’t come with the third brake light camera
I would highly recommend that upgrade i love it on mine when hooking up my goosenecks on my own.
Thanks!
@@IreneIronTravels I would love to know if that trick works for you.
NEW TRUCK? You guys love change!
Thanks Paul! You know we're always doing something crazy!
Well done Aaron.
Well thanks Darrell! Appreciate that! 😊🙏🏻
39:15 an alternator charger would be another solution if your going out to the middle of nowhere and need power.
24 years of driving Dodge Ram Dually inline 6 Cummins and loved it, tried all the others and no comparison.. You will grow to love the dual wheels and the largest cab available.
Watch Dave’s garage in Utah he will show you tons of commons problem with those Cummins
@@richarddubois5529also with the Ford and GM
@@richarddubois5529New diesel's are not made the way they should be. Thanks to the epa.
New truck trophy 🏆 wife, ocean front camp ground you got it made
Those brass quick disconnects will leak eventually.
You have a real truck now!!!! Most all highway tractors are inline 6 cylinder engines!
Good evening
I have the EXACT same truck but I have the long bed. You are very right, it is a beast.
Thats awesome!!! Glad to hear you're liking yours!
You don't have the same exact truck, theirs is a megacab
I keep a torque wrench in my fifth wheel. I torque the wheels before i leave the house and before i leave the camp site .
NIce! Good to hear thanks!!!
Oil changed every 5k miles
If it sounds like a bunch of bbs in a blender when the oil is hot at elevated idle.. they're trashed
Also using the exhaust brake all the time sweeps the actuator and keeps the vanes clean from soot. That way the VGT doesn’t foul up and fail on you.
wow nice truck. always been a fan of Ram but we got a great used package deal on a truck (07 silverado 3500) and truck camper. its been great to us but as we have found other things we want to do in life plus getting older the time has come to take the plunge with a new truck and toyhauler. we stopped at our local dealer to looked at that same truck. a beauty she is. its great to see your wife drive. even if my wife pilots for an hour or 2 its good to get from behind the wheel on long travel days. thanks again good work on your channel.
Yep, need to tell about the hitch change from the trucks! And of course in the FLA Keys, you are going to pay for all the travel these days! At least you choose your safety in towing your new RV (5th Wheel) and bought the new Dually! You are telling us the story as you speak!
Love the new truck and the pups set up in the back seat. How cool the seats folds like that. New adventures away! ❤
I am like you both are, I always miss my beloved vehicles. It is probably silly to some people but not to me.
The keys are my absolute favorite place in the world. Have been all over the world too!!
Love the engine brake on our 2020 Ram. Still puts a kids smile on my face.
If I had a short bed I would buy the anderson ultimate hitch. Weighs 35 lbs and has a 9" offset for short beds.
glad your diggin the new dually. re the "hips" they stick out as far as your mirrors - as a reference fyi.
Right the rule of thumb is if your tow mirrors fit then the rest of the truck will fit
Just like whiskers on a cat. If the mirrors fit the hips will to.
Glad it finally worked out for you! Those precious dogs look great!! :) Have fun!!
Thank you!!
loved doing the fiesta - sunshine key shuffle when we visited the Keys many years ago.
So you got a new truck for no reason?
The more you drive the RAM, the more you will wonder why you didn't get one sooner 😅. Chis is doing a great job driving. Thanks again for another awesome video. Safe travels.
I'm about to buy a 5500 Ram regular cab , I've been buying Rams sense 1998 and had good luck with them my last dully was 2000 , 8 foot bed crew cab , it was a beast with the Cummins but hard to park or go through drive-throughs
My parents use to spend the winter at Sunshine key travel park. Beautiful place.
Those Cumming engines pull like a bull on steroids, but that’s because they are basically the same as a Semi truck engine so I am not surprised you have fallen in love with it.
very enjoyable holiday .... 👍👍👍👍👍
Cummins also has the strongest engine brake of any light and medium duty truck. Very nice setup you have.
Now you can make new memories. I just sold my little 20 year old car to car max. An end of an era. If you keep that little ball on the dash on the white line of the road on the right will keep you centered also.
Yes! Congrats on the sale! Something new?
@@IreneIronTravels No. Extra vehicle, because I love my Ram also.
❤❤❤❤❤❤ When you look at the truck and RV to see how level They both are with each other - look at the bottom edge only - rocker of the truck and bottom edge of the RV - both yours look in line with each other really good.
You got exactly what I dream to have, Ram 3500 Mega Cab dually with that hitch!
Thank you!
Nice Truck and Rig.
We love our PullRite auto slide Hitch.
We put one in our Chevy truck because of the short bed, I don,t like to do it, but I can Jackknife 90 degree with no problem (parking)
Love the Auto Slide, just hookup and forget about the tight turns.
Thank You for the video.Dave & Nancy Lerch
Add the banks power kit….. intake, ride heater delete, exhaust and read diff cover
One thing to keep in mind when torquing, it's better to apply the torque to the nut not the bolt because of how you're supposed to be stretching the bolt.
One thing about driving a doolie. If you're mirrors clear clear your rear fenders will clear.
I just tuned in for the first tow. But, I was feeling your anxiety waiting for the part. Love the videos.
You 2 just like to hear yourself talk! 21:33
Love my RAM. The electronics are hands down the best I've ever had and I have a 2020 :) Bout time for an upgrade!
Good thing you have Chris to help with the heavy lifting 💪
I’m surprised the package was only 30 minutes late. When you said it had just arrived to the distribution I was like “this thing won’t arrive until 3pm.” Glad you had a backup plan even though you didn’t need it.
Yes! 30 minutes wasn't too bad.... but it was a pretty stressful morning for sure. Could have been worse like you said at 3pm!
You're right. 👍 I have a new cable for that I need to install so I can reach the truck bed.
What happens if that one in a million chance happens and your bed disconnects from the frame at the same time?!
@@603Cummins I guess your screwed either way then!
Basenjii, best dog ever, Ram best truck ever !!!
Get you some airbags for your rear axle. It'll take some of that squat out of your truck and it'll pull like a dream.
Oh my gosh, for having to be added at certain time, you guys are certainly taking your sweet old time after receiving the part to get out
The Cummins inline 6 make torque off idle then the V8 6.7, why do you think ALL the semi trucks run inline 6s
Travel days are always fun. 30 miles or 300 miles...still a travel day. But we RVers embrace them nonetheless. looks like a wonderful destination today... continued safe travesl
So true!! Thanks!!
Your mega cab dually is the same length as a long bed truck
What is the length?
@@IreneIronTravels technically you’re exactly 11 inches shorter than the crew cab long box. So yes you’re correct in that it’s shorter but that’s very negligible when considering you are almost exactly the same in wheel base length which really defines maneuverability.
I woulda prob gone with what y’all bought too either way because I love mega cabs but you essentially are maneuvering the same thing.
Remember to let the engine "idle down" after a highway speed run to let the turbo spool down before shutting off the engine and removing the oil supply to the turbo bearings
Congrats on the new truck!
Thanks!!
@@IreneIronTravels thanks Aaron and yes just like how you coped in the tent days would be perfect! Maybe I should look into getting a blackstone!
@carmancloud it really is a great way to cook fast, easy, healthy, and tasty meals!
I’m waiting to see your scale numbers. Keep your accelerator pedal on the center of the lane. A driver trick.
Yes, we'll get to a scale hopfulley in the next few weeks as we start traveing again. 👍
Would be interested in a detailed walkthrough and specs on your new Ram. Looks great. All the best.
For towing for 30 years I would Never use a Slider are way to heavy and do not work great, have owned 3 REESE sidewinders, its the way to go, can go past 90 degrees on a turn
Safe travels! Nice meeting you both ❤
Same to you! Nice meeting you as well! 😊
