Thanks for the well done video. We have decided to hire a house cleaner a few hours a week. Since she will be using my wife's equipment I decided to make sure it was in tip top shape. She's had one of these earliest Tyson models (~20yrs) and its in like brand new condition. Ive cleaned it a few times but to be honest I didn't know there was a filter in the ball. My wife is watching one the thousand DIY shows at the moment but I'm going to interrupt her and let her know I cleaned it up really well. PS: Was wondering if you've ever soaked the canister section that houses the little bag filter. I usually blow it out with compressor but it just blows dust forever and wondering if i should soak it.
I just bought one of these at a thrift store and the filters were very dirty as well as a plastic toy ring stuck in the upright tube. I blow these all out with an air gun. Lots of dust and dirt in the canister and the inside parts.
You can also use a seam ripper vs scissors to remove the roller hair.
Can you set it to blow instead of suction.

the sun can damage plastic, have you asked dyson about that? Maybe if its through a uv window covering it would be ok?
