We had 11 hives located on this beautiful property. This is just one we wanted to show how we do our spring preparation.
We want to make sure the colony is not honey-locked. We give the queen space to lay and we start feeding to stimulate her. When feeding it is also important to have a pollen supplement out for the bees too.
As beekeepers, we make sure the expanding colony will have space and we remove old and damaged comb.
