Thanks very much! I've got an R3 and the process is the same, very easy to follow, really appreciate you providing this video! Good job!
Thankl you for the instructions. This is an important reminder: "Make sure you have a full battery . . . " This should be mentioned a little earlier in the video.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback. Next time I make one of these videos I will keep that in mind.
i did tnx
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible day.
I appreciate this video. I tried to follow someone else and they had me all over the place.

Thanks for sharing Larry. Enjoy your day👍.
Thank you too for watching.
Thank you for this video! I’ve had my r6 for a while and this will be my first time updating the firmware
Happy to help and know exactly how you feel. I had my R5 just waiting for an update for a long time and when I finally got around to doing it I thought it would probably help somebody to see the process from beginning to end even if they know how to do it sometimes it's just more comforting seeing somebody else do it first.
Wow 2 years. doesn't seem like its been that long. I remember marveling at looking at the grip of that camera.
Yeah time flies. We should have an updated version soon.
Good afternoon my brother thanks for sharing and breaking everything down on how to do it and taking out time Good Vibes and blessings my brother
Big up thanks for watching
Good morning Larry thanks for showing
Thanks for watching
I had the same problem downloading the Mac version of the firmware update. Apparently Mac is trying to do away with the ability to see your root directory so they’ve hidden it, I tried selecting an older OS and then I was able to see the firmware file but I still wasn’t able to put it in the root directory to download it to my camera. I ended up giving up and just doing it on a PC and it worked perfect. Shame on you Mac and Canon for not having any information about it.
You R5 overheated shooting photos? I've never had that happen with my R5 and I shoot outside in the TEXAS sun all the time.
Yeah I was shooting a football game and right before the half it overheated on me.
so you skip the R5 download, download the R6 and put it in the R5 camera or did you skip 4 minutes of the video lol
Download the R5 firmware and put it on the R5 and R6 firmware on the R6
I wonder if the issue with not being able to download the firmware and move it to your camera is canons problem or Mac’s problem. I’m thinking it’s a little of both. I finally gave up and just did the PC download and it worked fine. The latest Mac iOS does not show root directories. I’m not sure why Canon seems to have fixed the problem with the R6 update but not with the R5.
