@@cherylsullivan2501 If you don't know the guy it might be a good idea to call authorities depends on what the situation is. If you do know him make sure you aren't giving him mixed signals and communicate clearly your boundaries and that you are not interested. Really depends on situation and how well you know the person and your history with them. There are definitley some stalker types out there but woman are hard to understand for men at the best of times and often there can be confusion if the person is just playing hard to get or if they geniunely aren't interested. I would ask someone who knows a little more on the situation, like a friend or family member. I think common sense might be your best option if the situation is reminding you of "basic instict" or "silence of the lambs" type of behavior it would defiinitely warrant getting help immediately. But if its more like "dumb and dumber" or" something about mary" and the person is just awkward or lacks social skills. Make sure you have clearly stated that you want no contact or that you only want to be friends so there is no miscommunication by either party and that could stop whatever behaviour is concerning you. Go with your gut, and at minimum, let someone you trust know about it and seek their counsel. Good Luck!

You can use any smart phone to detect hidden cameras, just look around with your smart phone camera and it will reflect a red light from any hidden camera

Yep, plus it does nothing to block audio. Easiest way is to go into your setup and disable the webcam driver while not in use. No one can connect to it not even the user of the laptop until it's been enabled. It's free on top. lol

But personally I think many people are too anxious about their privacy. I do not care if somebody from other part of the world who knows nothing about me will see my face via camera or listen me via mic speaking in my native language which is not widely used :-D . Moreover most integrated cameras have LEDs which turns on when camera is enabled.
@@JohannesWOW It all depends on the setup. Im always logged in as a user not admin. Therefore, it requires an Admin password anytime you try to make changes to the system settings. There are a whole bunch of other ways to thhwart a hacker. You are basic.

Have to smile about spyfinder. It is literally an IR led light, and a viewfinder with IR filter. First saw this at a security expo in 2006, an Israeli company looking for distributors. On the stand they were selling for £20. A few weeks later, I saw the same item in a prominent London department store, priced at £199.
Whoever purchases spyfinder, needs to be kept an eye, I recommend by a psychiatrist, $200 for something that a rear led bicycle light does.
Hushme is a joke for $129 also. Seriously, who can't get up and out of a room to have a private conversation or wait until they can. Plus it looks ridiculous :|

Just get a small piece of invisible scotch tape and cover the lens. It scatters light and thus produces only a white glow in daylight and a dark screen at night. Best of all, it costs about $1.00 for a roll of tape and only uses a sliver. Yes it can be easily removed and the camera fully functional.
