    I'd never have been diagnosed if a colleague hadn't said "Don't take this the wrong way, but have you ever considered you might be autistic?" and yet when I know people I think might be neurodivergent I feel too afraid of them being insulted if I say anything similar to them to do so.

    This is useful my friend very ! much so...thank you . lm hoping to get some help and understanding with my Autism lm 63 and only just got the insight that l needed regarding Autism, my life has been a constant struggling , could never keep a job was part of my struggling trying to fit in, trying to earn a living , trying to understand instructions being treated like a dimwit , still the struggles continue . ideally now at my age retirement from working would be the best thing ...but they keep moving the goal- posts...as we know.

    When you said locker room sweat after PE smell was wiffy at around 16:30 I started retching, oh god that smell

    He has admitted that had no issues prior to his career burnout. No clinicially significant childhood history.

      See DSM criteria for a diagnosis of autism, section C where demands exceed ability to cope. This most likely explains Pete's valid late adult diagnosis.

      @@lipotrimloser he said he must have masked without realising it & wouldn't have been diagnosed in childhood anyway, despite being in the demographic most diagnosed. Says he had "latent" late onset autism.
      Managed a career dealing with lots of people for over a decade.
