Wow Sarah, what a brilliant video explanation of the aspects of being autistic! My daughter related to everything you said and it made her feel like she isn’t the only one who has these issues. She also loves her nap time! You are an amazing woman, thank you for sharing your story 😊

This really is an inspirational interview with a remarkable person. No sense of self-pity, a positive attitude towards Autism, and a complete openness about how Autism has affected her life!

I'd never have been diagnosed if a colleague hadn't said "Don't take this the wrong way, but have you ever considered you might be autistic?" and yet when I know people I think might be neurodivergent I feel too afraid of them being insulted if I say anything similar to them to do so.

See DSM criteria for a diagnosis of autism, section C where demands exceed ability to cope. This most likely explains Pete's valid late adult diagnosis.

@@lipotrimloser he said he must have masked without realising it & wouldn't have been diagnosed in childhood anyway, despite being in the demographic most diagnosed. Says he had "latent" late onset autism. Managed a career dealing with lots of people for over a decade.
