When I was little my Grandma would bring me to Castaic lake and we would go to the nearby museum. At that time the museum was the only thing out there besides Magic Mountain. Much of Castaic was still wilderness and very rural.
In the early to mid 1980s it was the hottest big bass lake, that no one knew about. I would catch MONSTER bass 17, 18 even a 20 pounder . Before the word got out about almost record catches there about 1990. Great fishing lake
I went to Castaic with my Dad to fish when he still could. I'm a native but I don't live there anymore. Maybe one day I will get to touch the Pacific again.
Interesting, Jake. Thx. Yesterday I was exploring around north of Castaic Lake and ran across a very large gated tunnel entrance in the side of a hill. I wondered if that was part of the water works related to Castaic Dam and the power plant up there. Jake, a suggestion: you are running your words together quite a lot making it hard to understand you sometimes. Slowing down would've helped.
Is so interesting your video but the bad things are so much people don’t care about to keep clean around the lake and is a lot trash aroun and inside the lake I been fishing since 1990 and taking out not only my trash but I get mad because the people don’t care 😢😢😢.
