Stunning arrangement, outstandingly performed! I was marveling at the sounds coming from them all the way through. And that mandolin player’s voice, something else. Thank you!
Love the style of humor. Also, like this music. (I'm classic rock, & alternative when it was alternative back in the 80's) Walking into this setting reminds me of a classic movie line. “- Elwood Blues: What kind of music do you usually have here? - Claire: Oh, we got both kinds. We got country and western.” But when the music starts, good times by all! Movie quote from the movie 'The Blues Brothers'
Wow! incredible talent and creativity. As a writer/drummer I appreciate how unique and awesome the Cleverlys are. Thanks for introducing them to us here Country Road TV :-)
sometimes i think there is something really special about musicians of one so called style doing tunes from an entirely different one, it shows talent, respect, commonalities between cultures, and we sure need THAT right now , dont we? i know folks who only listen to ONE kind of music and... i just dont GET IT!
@@mrswimmyboy - Yup! The original Red Knuckles was actually big band leader Red Nichols - I have a couple of his records, the old 78 RPM ones, and the turntables to play them on. The link you have is for a newer band - never saw this group before. Used to see the Geezinslaw Brothers on talk shows on TV back in the day.
Bluegrass version of a Black Eyed Peas song. Why not? Ricky Skaggs and Barry Gibb of the BeeGees did a Bluegrass version of "Stayin' Alive" on the Opry.
I've always thought this song needed a "good ol' boys' version. I have said many times someone like a Randy Travis with a heavy country twang in their voice should cover this song. Should replace the "oooohh hooooo" with "yeeeeee haaaaaawww" but I guess that would be stereotyping.
The Cleverly's are a talented bunch, funny and deadpan at the same time, great musicians, let's have more of them and their antics!!
I'm I'm a young punk and metal enthusiast and much respect to these fellas. Love to All u out there

Stunning arrangement, outstandingly performed! I was marveling at the sounds coming from them all the way through. And that mandolin player’s voice, something else. Thank you!
