Thank you for including The Dillinger in your 2024 carry. It's an honor and has some amazing company with the rest of your choices. Love your videos! Keep up the excellent content!
"It's not crazy expensive, like $100" For a pen, I feel like that's crazy expensive. Then again, I'm a guy that uses random pens I find around and adopt them.
Marcus, I just received (10/28/2024) my Dillinger Speakeasy wallet. I want to thank you for showing it off in this video. I bought it because of your review of it. The quality is very premium and classy. The ease of accessing the cards and cash is very satisfying. I am very excited to use it and get into minimalist carry. So, thank you again for reviewing this wallet and helping me choose such a quality product.
For the Sebenza-take it apart, clean it up and oil it with the supplied oil, wear it in actively and change the way you open it. Don’t use the meat of your thumb, use your nail on the stud. Mine flicks open easily after breaking it in. And fyi the titanium will scratch your iPhone glass.
The Kaweco Liliput is an awesome edc fountain pen, loving the ones I have!! Another small option you should consider is the Vision Metal Design LP-5. Smaller than a chapstick closed and almost a full size pen when open. Less fiddly than the Liliput to deploy and when paired with a Lamy M22 bold refill, an excellent writer for almost any situation.
In addition to some similar carries in this video, I also EDC a mini Victorinox rambler in the 5th pocket of my jeans, a lip balm (made by Hurraw!… great lip balm and its oval shaped so doesn’t feel chunky in the pocket). I also carry a bandana or mighty hanks for cleaning my phone, iPad/laptop and watch screens/glass. It’s come in handy for many things though like a neck scarf in winter and a sweat-rag in summer. You can use it as a make-shift bag/pouch and also for wiping bicycle seats when its rained etc. I generally dont use it for my nose, but it is there for emergencies, and I often use them for cleaning up my daughter at cafes etc. I have a number of them so keep them clean and regularly rotate them. Thanks for another great video!
Great video. Thanks for the content. As noted by another, the AirPod case charges wirelessly. If you’re carrying you watch charger when you travel, you can use it to charge your AirPods too. I’m not sure I’ve ever charged mine with the cable they came with. They are always charged from my watch charger overnight.
I watch a ton of content like this and while it has the basis of being the typical long form advertisement channel with a ton of affiliate gear I feel you do it in a genuine way and you’ve also brought a lot of gear to my attention that I was actually not aware of which is uncommon. Great quality content for a reasonably small channel you will undoubtedly continue to see big growth if you continue. Liked & subscribed. Cheers.
Great video, I appreciate your humble approach and the care you take to explain each item. Give your Sebenza some time to break in my friend. I’ve learned to appreciate the slow opening while also figuring out a way to do a left middle finger flick opening. This works well with the right-handed model. Last, the Sebenza does great with an upgraded pocket clip - I have a milled LynchNW on mine but some other options are Nice Guy Machine Co or Ripps Garage Tech. Amazing content, it is engaging and appreciated. Cheers 🤙🏼
Thanks buddy. I will try changing out the pocket clip on the CR Sebenza. It’s a really quality knife for sure so will stick with it and make it my own. Thanks for all the positivity.
I have the Rovyvon A8. I think it is a must carry. OnThursday, I had a tire blow out on a highway and I loved that I could clip a flashing red light on me. It’s critical to have something like that on you at all times you drive. I also have a neon safety vest in my car at all times plus portable flashing disks. They are a MUST for all cars. Put them 20 feet behind your car and you are totally visible. In fact, I just bought three more that I’ll attach magnetically to my car the next time I get a flat. $15 for a set of three. I also carry a $17 Molrelbe 1500 lumen work light. It’s got a carabiner on it, a strong magnet, and it can stand up on the ground. It’s very small but it throws a ton of light which I needed to change the tire. Those things are EDC car stuff. You should do a video on that. I don’t like to be super laden with gear on my person, but I have a TON of EDC in my car. A TON. A fully stocked first aide roll (enough to treat virtually anything up to a gun shot wound), a tool roll, a 30,000 mah charging brick, a trucker’s friend, tarps and smaller ground cover, a military rain poncho, duct tape, a folding saw, various knives, a Leatherman (Charge Plus in titanium), cordage and wire (wire is key - done a bunch of quick car repairs with it),etc. I can repair most things with the stuff in my car. And my car is generally nearby so I prefer having it all there as opposed to carrying a bag. Besides the Rovyvon, I do have two other things on my keychain. A titanium mini pen from CountyCom. And an Incharge X charging cable from Rolling Square. You need one. Does usb c, lightning, and micro from usb c or a. And it’s tiny. I use it all the time. That’s it. Love your channel
Couple of questions for you! 1. Have you tried mounting your phone to any handheld gimbals with the open case on it? 2. What brand is the usb-c to use-c cable you are using for your ssd? That thing is sleek!
I have this real leather one of a kind wallet that I bought in Canada a few years ago and it’s amazing. It has all the scuff marks and everything. It’s so hard to find quality real leather goods sometimes.
I really don’t think I’m your target demographic. Firstly, I’m female and my EDC is a Vendula handbag 😂 But I can’t stop watching your channel nonetheless, enjoy every video, and have picked up some great recommendations for both myself and my husband.
What’s makes you think you’re not my target demographic? I love that my content works for you (or for anyone for that matter). Thanks for coming back time and again. ☺️. Any tips? What’s in your Vendula???
@@MarcusCreates very good point! You’ve helped me finally figure out how to journal for me (morning pages have changed my life in the two months since I started). My EDC is two passport travelers notebooks in a sparkly passport cover (didn’t want to splurge on a TN cover just yet and SPARKLES!!!). One for random notes, to dos, etc and the other is a commonplace book, my favourite page of which is recording the song lyric that’s stuck in my head when I wake up. Pen is two Uni Style Fit custom multi gel pens so I can write in every colour of the rainbow whenever I need to. iPhone also has a sparkly case but that one you currently have is very appealing with the space for MagSafe accessories so may upgrade and sacrifice sparkles. Any battery pack recommendations? I also want to add a pocket knife/multitool again. I lost mine to airport security once and never replaced it but am always needing screwdrivers/scissors/etc. I wonder if anyone makes sparkly multi tools 😂
Chris Reeve* & S45VN*. That’s a PJ small Sebenza~ using it is expected!! It is ‘slow’ bc the pivot runs on washers. Keep using it and it will break in.
I would advise to try Flowfold wallet because it is weightless. I carry it in my back pants pockets, sit on it all the time and absolutely don’t feel that it is there.
Fantastic video! Thanks Marcus. I came to your channel for EDC and found this video inspiring. I am determined to start journaling and build on my notetaking for work into my personal and TH-cam creator life space. I'm looking at some budget notebooks. I'll upgrade if/when it becomes a daily habit. I've reviewed some budget mini pens and again will upgrade if they become my daily pocket carry.
I just watched a few of your videos, and i like the way you describe everything you use and why. I can't wait on the whoop review because im interested in one, but i dont know if it's worth the cost when i have a Galaxy watch 4, which does (mostly) the same stuff. The one thing I'd add to my daily carry is a portable charger because i either forget to charge at home or use my phone too much while im out. You seem like a cool dude too. Worth the sub for sure.
I think you've convinced me to check out the Kaweco series. As a designer, I could see myself busting out the nice pens for a bit of added excitment in my work.
Been enjoying your videos. Nice to see the 'what' and 'why'. r.e. niche things: Hot Glue sticks and a lighter, 1m of thin chord tied onto SAK keyring and I've taken, recently, to carrying tape, a couple of plasters and a needle and thread between phone and case. Difference to thickness is negligible and have found it really handy.
I use the brass kaweco pen with my notebook as well..I enjoy writing with it and the other kaweco pens. This one is attached to my notebook so it is an edc for me as well.
Great collection of stuff here. But you reference some of your other videos and the links didn't show up in the corner. I wanted to see your video about your pen system and another one you mentioned that I can't remember. I've never carried a flashlight or a knife. Feels like the sort of thing I don't need every day, but I'd find reasons to use them if I did carry them.
Just FYI, in my experience Chris Reeves knives have a long break in period. Also, if it's been sitting in the box for a long time, a small drop of the included lubricant down into both sides of the pivot is beneficial. Good channel.
I carry a small plain Sebenza 21 every day. Just like yours but the previous generation. It took me a long time to “get” it. My first CRK, I was coming from the PM2 and 940 and flippers with bearings and all that. I was so disappointed with the CRK “action.” I literally bought and later sold the small Sebenza four times over the years before it stuck around 😅. I could tell there was something special about it but it just didn’t click: too small, too fiddly, not “fidgety” enough, whatever. I am a pocket knife enthusiast and my collection of over 100 has emerged from years of trying just about everything. The new hotness, old stuff, styles and steels and prices from $20 to $2000. Just for me personally, the Sebenza (large or small) is easily the best daily carry out of all of them. But it took me a long time to arrive at that conclusion. Sorry for the TED talk 🙂
I love it. I’m still disappointed in mine but I’m going to keep using it until I either ‘get it’ or ‘get rid of it’. I really like the action, look and feel of the Protech Malibu. Is that one in your collection?
I always carry a Chicago flag patch in my pocket. I got it when I went to Chicago in 2019. It was my 1st time leaving Canada and my 1st time on a plane.
Sebenza should break in over time, I have a few knives with washers instead of bearings and they do usually break in quite nicely. I'm sure others will have suggested this, but you could try adjusting the pivot tension and adding some KPL or Nano-oil too, that usually helps the action. It is meant to be quite a stiff knife but I have seen people flick them open.
love your vids but honestly, sebenzas are bait. beautiful to look at, great collector pieces but that’s it. for way less money you can get a knife with better action, a better locking mechanism and better steel. i’d never recommend it as an EDC. it’s a knife for knife guys (which I am) but for most people it just doesn’t make sense, even if it’s within your budget in fact i totally gave up pocket knives once i got a leatherman arc. has a magnacut steel blade that is quick to deploy, plus 19 other quality tools in one package. worth the money if you don’t also need a pocket knife (why would you? there’s a great one built in). 200 dollars is a literal bargain for all of that. or get a wave, another great tool for even less. if you’re new to EDC, get a quality, medium-sized LM tool and be done with it. especially if you’re just building an urban EDC. just my 2c as an internet rando.
Hey Marcus! Great video with every minute details to almost all the EDC but you forgot to mention the adorable model car on the left bottom. I'm keen on knowing what exactly that is.
So many comments in this dinky. I’ve had this for years and keep it on my desk it in my pocket to keep me focussed on my longer term goals. In this case, to own a 911. Will talk about it in my next video.
As an owner of 6 Chris Reeve knives the Small Sebenza, is the only one I dont use as the blade is tiny and opening it is a hassle. I keep mine on display but prefer the large Microtechs, Spydercos & Large Chris Reeves. The Large Inkosi, Umnumzaan and Sebenza is the only way to go with Chris Reeves in my honest opinion.
didn't scroll and read all the comments. take that knife apart coat the area that is the working part for opening and closing with lapping compound and work it open and closed for hours.
Is that airpods case the wireless charge one? The iPhone 15 can do wireless powershare off the back off the phone to charge airpods. That might help not have to carry the lightning cable for you if you get it to go.
The word "Sebenza" literally translates to "work" in Zulu so it's was always designed as a work knife. It's action takes some time to break in, but is known for is smoothness and is designed to be "slow rolled" open and closed. It's definitely at odds with modern flippers etc. So for those that appreciate it, it's amazing but it has particular design attributes you have to value in order to like the knife.
Thorough video with great explanations as to why you carry each item, but I am disappointed you didn't talk about that little car in the bottom of your overview, top down shot.
Great stuff! I love the videos! I’ve recently started doing my morning pages and have even been trying out the same Tomoe River pocket sized notebook and o’light mini based on your recommendations. Cheers!
Hi Marcus, I’m a new subscriber and love the channel. I’m very likely going to purchase the Plaud. I’m curious, how many minutes a month did you end up going with?
The Benchmade Bugout is definitely on my list. It’s such a poplar knife there has to be something to it. The 940 Osborne is my favorite of all time so I’m a big fan of the brand.
@@MarcusCreates I'd recommend building one on their website if you go that route. I've got the carbon fiber scales as well as a shiny blue finger stud.
I’d suggest taking it apart, cleaning it and using the lube that came with it. When you put it back together you can adjust the pivot tension to your liking. However, it will break in regardless. The tolerances are very tight and it runs on washers. So if you simply open and work it then it’ll loosen up. I usually do that with a new one while I’m listening to a podcast or watching a video.
I haven’t yet. I’m very keen but the process just seems too high and it’s definitely a gen 1 device. I went to the Apple Store yesterday to check it out and it’s definitely a game changer. Might pick one up in a couple weeks when the hype has died down and I can review it in peace. ✌🏼
What’s up Marcus. Have to ask about your diecast 911. Who makes it, and do you carry it or is it a desk toy? I’m a 1:64 diecast enthusiast and I usually carry a black Porsche 935 with me in my pack. I buy hot wheels and the more expensive 1:64 diecast that comes in a nice case.
I really like your EDC setup, it's functional but not over the top. The AI stuff... Well, to each their own, I guess. I actually did take a look at the Whoop fitness tracker, since it doesn't have a display (No need for it, I wear a wristwatch and carry my phone with me) - but man, the price point on that thing is nuts! So, I went with a basic Fitbit Inspire 3 - but I still would give real money for a decent Fitbit-type fitness tracker without a screen.
I really like the Whoop 4.0 but totally get that it’s not for everyone. Can be expensive to start out but you can always do the free trial first to see do you like it.
@@MarcusCreates Fair point, in the end it almost always comes down to how much money you're willing to spend. Another strike against the Whoop in my eyes is that you're basically renting the thing. I like to actually own my stuff.
10:36 It’s a common oversight, but Chris Reeve does not spell his name with an extra letter S added to the end of his name. Chris Reeve* Knives is the correct spelling.
The thing I like most about your videos is the honesty. I feel like a lot of EDC channels only tell you about "great" things and everything is amazing, but you're not afraid to say "yeah this knife is expensive, and I don't really like it." Thanks for the great video. (You didn't explain the toy car though, is that an EDC item too? :)
It is. That’s super funny. I’ve had a bunch of comments on it. It’s my version of a vision board. I keep this little Porsche 911 in my pocket or on my desk to remind me of my goals.
You'll probably end up selling that Sebenza soon enough to the next Joe that wants to own a bit of nostalgic history.. there's just so many more premium modern folding knives that make the Sebenza seem obsolete in comparison. I don't think I've seen one reviewer on TH-cam that didn't say something like "I like it, BUT.." and they end up selling it.
@@MarcusCreates At these moment, probably an Oz Machine Co Roosevelt. Realistically my next big knife purchase is the reverse tux Kunwu Padre with black DLC whether I have to search on the used market or they make another batch
I go through phases :) often a classic 911 but lately an NSX 😮💨 I often feel like the act of deciding what to put in my pocket as if I were grabbing the keys for it today is almost good enough to scratch the itch of owning it. Almost!
I love it. You’ve a keen eye. This was my father-in-laws camera and was handed down. 📷. Probably the most beautiful camera I’ve ever owned, which is why it’s in the thumbnail ☺️

if you’re new to EDC, get a quality, medium-sized LM tool and be done with it. especially if you’re just building an urban EDC. just my 2c as an internet rando.
Wonderful video and some very interesting stuff. Love the open case and the wallet. Brilliant. Thanks for the great work - keep it up.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good video my friend. Just Subscribed. Simple and easy. Love the third camera on your left... great idea!
What do you do with all your old EDC items? I have 10 year worth of items and it’s starting to take space. 🙂
Great video! What color leather and thread did you choose on the wallet?
That is the Badalassi Carlo Tobacco, and Cognac Thread
didn't scroll and read all the comments. take that knife apart coat the area that is the working part for opening and closing with lapping compound and work it open and closed for hours.
I really like the case Marcus! Greetings from Europe.
Hello there. Where in Europe?
You got some nice gear, but what type of camera is that? Film?
Love it! Im a gadget guy too. So high tech and still hangs his glasses (analog) off his T-shirt Ha.
Marcus I really love ur videos keep going ❤
Thank you 🙏
I don't know how it took me until this video to think about carrying a check in my wallet.
It’s a game changer. Saved me a bunch of times.
Love this as always but was hoping to see about that little white on tan 911. 1/64?
So many comments about the 911. Will talk about it in an upcoming video
Is that airpods case the wireless charge one? The iPhone 15 can do wireless powershare off the back off the phone to charge airpods. That might help not have to carry the lightning cable for you if you get it to go.
Huh. It is the wireless charging case. I’ve never tried reverse charging. Will look into it.
Just ordered that Dillinger wallet. Can’t wait.
Ray ban Meta glasses are a game changer!
Love the knipex sheath.
Such a keen eye. It’s a micro machine 1980’s Porsche 911 in white. And I’ve had it ever since I was a kid. It reminds me of my current goals. ☺️
Great stuff! I love the videos! I’ve recently started doing my morning pages and have even been trying out the same Tomoe River pocket sized notebook and o’light mini based on your recommendations. Cheers!
I love hearing this. How is morning pages going for you?
@@MarcusCreates it’s going great! I just sit down with my breakfast and let everything swirling in my head flow onto the pages.
@@beezerOG love hearing this. Keep going. You’ll really notice your thoughts clearing over time. 👍🏻
Hi Marcus, I’m a new subscriber and love the channel. I’m very likely going to purchase the Plaud. I’m curious, how many minutes a month did you end up going with?
Hi marcus what your EDC bag is it a sling crossbody. and very nice video
Love the video! Marcus, you should look into a Benchmade Bugout - it likely meets your criteria for a knife.
@@austinmwalker thanks for the heads up
For the fountain pen u should check out platinum carbon black ink. Love that for my pens.
Really enjoy the channel. Keep up the good work
Thanks bud. Will have a look at the ink suggestion. 🙏
great video i love it, can you name me the exactly modell of youre warby parker glasses? 😍
Warby Parker Durand
Keep working the Sebenza. It'll break in after a bit. And ABSOLUTELY use it. That knife is made to work. "Sebenza" actually means "work" in Zulu. 👍
I don’t have drawer trophies. They’re all for using 😂. Will keep with it and make it my own. The more dings and scratches the better.
@@MarcusCreates exactly! I really enjoy your content, by the way. You really have a great outlook on things and seem very genuine.
@@dalecarr5445 great advice. I know what I’m doing this Sunday when the kids are in bed. 👍🏻
@@christopherpetrone5499 thanks Christopher. Doing my best here. ☺️
Interested in what model frames the Warby Parker you have. Thanks
Am. I think they’re called Durand.
Thanks for another great video. What's the cube-shaped device with the number display on your desktop?
It’s a Google Home
Glad to hear you're liking Meta Ray-Bans, I've been thinking about picking them up for my EDC. I'm curious if you picked up the Apple Vision Pro?
I haven’t yet. I’m very keen but the process just seems too high and it’s definitely a gen 1 device. I went to the Apple Store yesterday to check it out and it’s definitely a game changer. Might pick one up in a couple weeks when the hype has died down and I can review it in peace. ✌🏼
Hi Marcus, As opposed to the Ray Bans I liked the frames you were already wearing , who makes them?
14:19 wow Kaweco as I suggested before. 😊
I’m listening 👂🏻
I am simple dude, this Irish fella post I click play
😀
Hi Marcus, what’s the camera and why do you not mention it?
It’s an Olympus OM-2
is that a "liniers" in the wall?
I wish. It’s a piece a friend of mine did for me. Good eye though b
Can you share info regarding the SSD card that you connected via usb C?
It’s a Samsung T7 SSD but the T5 is cheaper and works great too.
Need a link to that Knipex sheath!!!
5:08 they need to make this for the iPhone 16 pro max!
What’s that camera on the table 😊
What’s the Apple Watch strap he is wearing? Its great
What’s up Marcus.
Wow. I feel like I’m about to tumble down a rabbit hole on TH-cam on these things. www.flickr.com/photos/colinsdiecast/51680122262
It's interesting how unconcern people are about their privacy.
True (we actualy giving does jucy data to google)
@@RobertS1089 I feel the same way.

It’s a common oversight, but Chris Reeve does not spell his name with an extra letter S added to the end of his name.
Chris Reeve* Knives is the correct spelling.
Great vid man! What cable are you using with your SSD and phone?
In the description
Hey could share wish Warby Parker glasses are those?
Durand I think.
@@MarcusCreates thank you sir.
I want to know more about your arm tracker
Ok. I’ll have a video on it in the next couple of weeks. Check out the link in the description for a free trial.
Why don’t you use the plaud for work? Is it a concern with privacy? I’m really into this however I just don’t see if it’s private enough
Love your wallet. Do they send that to Belgium ? ❤
Reach out to Rob at Speakeasy Leather. He’s awesome. Link in description.
We do ship worldwide. You have a few options available for shipping at checkout
Love the content. You should charge your AirPods Pro with the Apple Watch charger.
Good stuff Marcus
Thanks Sean. Appreciate your super positivity!
What’s your grail knife?
@@MarcusCreates Benchmade bug out mini has been my workhorse and most beat up knife for years I love it
@@MarcusCreates At these moment, probably an Oz Machine Co Roosevelt. Realistically my next big knife purchase is the reverse tux Kunwu Padre with black DLC whether I have to search on the used market or they make another batch
What is it un your right arm?
My son waited the whole video to hear about the tiny car!
Me too!!
I’m sorry folks. It’s a small car I’ve had for years and helps keep me focussed on my goals.
Appreciate the reply! I keep one in pocket for the same reason!
@@cfrost what you got?
I go through phases :) often a classic 911 but lately an NSX 😮💨
I often feel like the act of deciding what to put in my pocket as if I were grabbing the keys for it today is almost good enough to scratch the itch of owning it. Almost!
I think the Chris Reeve Mnandi would’ve been the best option for you
I’ll look into it
What’s with the white Porsche?
It’s a reminder to keep going. It’s a life goal.
Can you ask your brother Conan to show his EDC too? I hear that the only thing he carries in his EDC is a few cans of Guinness.
He’s a lot taller than I am but he’s not as funny 😆
Get a sling bag for all that stuff homie. Great channel
Yes! Something like the Tomtoc Explorer H-02 which I absolutely love :)
I have the same wallet and been carrying it since I got it from them about 3 months ago
It’s epic right?
Hands down best wallet and I do have a bunch from them and other company’s and always have this one on me
Now, it is time to get a nice crossbody bag because adding all of that stuff in your pockets can create a hideous look.
Awesome video!
From today to I joined your clan brother new subscriber
Do people still accept cheques?
Good stuff! How do you like that OM-2?
I love it. You’ve a keen eye. This was my father-in-laws camera and was handed down. 📷. Probably the most beautiful camera I’ve ever owned, which is why it’s in the thumbnail ☺️
Family cameras are just the best. I’ve yet to shoot a OM personally.
Why did you switch from your Rolex to an Apple Watch?
I got notification, clicked instantly !!

What size is that notebook?
