My EDC kit was huge and rarely used. Now... In pocket, knife and Maxpedition coin pouch holding keys to not scratch my knife. Band aid in wallet. EDC kit is a Maxpedition micro organizer with charger cord, Tylenol, backup pocket knife, small Victorinox to have toothpick and tweezers, etc., Fisher space pen, note cards, a zip tie, cash, small spork and Streamlight micro light. Keeping it simple.

I watch a lot of EDC videos, but yours is probably the first time I see things actually being used. Mostly they show new things, without traces of use. Your driving style shows that you're having fun with it and I like it :)
In my EDC there is mainly a phone, a wallet, LM Super Tool 300M or Surge, Zippo, and a knife which changes from time to time.
I have headphones, a power bank and other such accessories in my cars (truck), which I mainly take on military trips ;) I can send you photos :D.
Keep making videos like this, I say YES :D good luck and greetings from POLAND

Those little round, orange matchstick holders found in the camp section of stores like Walmart are perfect for holding Tums. They hold 12 tablets and cost about $1.

I love your “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” mantra, a prevalent theme throughout your entire EDC. It’s definitely a refreshing change from all the constant promotion of useless junk 😅
I’ll admit I’ve gotten carried away at times, like most of us in this community, but I always seem to come back to the tried and true 😁
Great content as always ! 🫶🏽

I carry a satchel and it works really well for me. I carry a LOT, and I use almost everything pretty frequently. I carry a first aid kit, a laptop(sometimes), chapstick, wrench, paracord, ferro rod, compass, spork, electrical tape, battery pack a couple different chords, gloves, bible, journal, sharpie, and deodorant.

One thing I have added recently. Shoe laces.

I think the thing you're missing is a little plastic container for those loose batteries. They have ones that hold 4 AA size. Then you don't have to worry about them discharging prematurely as much.

Haha I use the exact same pouch, for all the crap I used to keep in my pockets! Clip two Nite Ize SideLock #4 Carabina into the webbing loops on the back that the shoulder stap attaches to. That way you can clip it to a jean pocket by one capabina so you don't forget it when you stand up from a benchbin a public place. Connect both carabinas to you belt and you can wear it as a belt pouch and putting it on and off only takes 5 seconds (the carabinas have to be orientated the right way so the clip over your belt. Then finally I cut off the supplied hook closure things off the supplied shoulder strap and now I just slip the shoulder strap end loops over the Nite Ize carabinas to attach it to the pouch, less fiddly than the original so easy to reconfigure.

Super great kit! I find when it comes to an edc kit, it's always those small items that can come in super handy. Like the electrical tape or spork.
You might have mentioned it and I missed it, but I always include some zip ties, some string or microcode, and gorilla tape.
I have a small edc kit that I carry everyday on my belt. Not as big or thorough as yours, but it works for me and I always find something to use from it most days.
I've been carrying the CRKT Piet lately. It's a great little knife. But I really like the Pilar too.

Nice kit brother. I also carry a 2 (or 3) part EDC. Basically small, medium and large come to work everyday, with the small clipped onto me (VETO MP1X). But let's be honest here, my EDC evolves almost weekly. Outside of real life tasks and work, changing around all my EDCs is kinda like me playing with my toys and is a fun hobby in and of itself.
Thank you for the content again my dude.

I carry that Alpaka Elements tech case. It works really well. I am not crazy about the strap though - it's too narrow and isn't comfortable. While it is not very uncomfortable either. I wouldn't take it on a day tramp though as it would bother me. Other than that great little pouch/sling.
I like what you said about using the stuff in the kit. A while back I found I was carrying stuff that I wasn't using so I removed it from my kit. One good example was the Gerber Shard. Over 2 years I never used it once and the sharp point on it kept making holes in my pocket.

Great video! I just wanted to mention that up here in Canada, Bic Lighters will fail in the winter time. Once it gets down to freezing the fuel won't evaporate properly. The trick is to keep it in a pocket or inside your coat, or, opt for a different kind of lighter. Anyway, love your work!

The Squid is the perfect little work knife/5th pocket knife. One of the prime criteria for how I choose a knife is that I don't want them to look like a weapon. Stainless Holey Squid looks nothing like a weapon and I love it for that.

For tech carry, I tried a cable like that and wasn’t a fan. What I ended up carrying was a long USBc to USBc cord and then an adaptor kit (like the Kable Card) and use one of those sticky card holders that stick the the back of your phone to connect it the the power bank that I have. It a great set up that is just as versatile but doesn’t rely on any specific brand.
Great video! Always love your chill and humble attitude. You’re not about the flash but just about the practicality. And I appreciate that.

Great kit, might I suggest an Ifixit Minnow as well. It's compact en out to almost fit in that little coin pocket on a Jean so it doesn't take up much space, but it's got practically every type of screwdriver bit that you'll need on a day to day basis, I often forget I have it with me, but it's saved me quite a few times

      @Martin-pb7ts 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

My 0.02, I carry a sealed travel bottle of contact lens fluid, even though I wear glasses like Zac. With visors or goggles it happens only once a decade or so, but as a biker a fluke bit of dirt can hit your eyeball so hard you can't blink it out. A helpful Samaritan stopped and just blasted a stream of her contact lens fluid into the corner of my eye and that did the trick. I have used mine twice since then, but only to help others to clean and insert a contact lens after they dropped it in the dirt.
I'm currently looking at my Kawasaki factory mini under saddle toolkit, to see if it can cooperate with my EDC better. The screwdriver's out, replaced with JIS bits and a spark plug.

Nice kit. I’d consider switching out the adjustable wrench for one of the Knipex pliers wrenches. They are more expensive but such a joy to use compared to other adjustable wrenches (in the 5 or more inch sizes, the 4 inch is too small). The combination of having the Knipex pliers wrench and Knipex cobra works well in just about any situation.

I bought a UCO fire steel awhile back and I remember thinking "this would be a useful and nifty little thing to EDC" so I zip tied it, the striker, and a 410 shotgun shell with a vaseline cotton ball stuffed inside and sealed with paper and wax. Then I put all that on a chain around my neck and it goes with me everyday and I don't see it changing anytime soon. Gonna change up my EDC with some Victorinox nail clippers and a rovyvon E1 so we'll see how that goes.

Ngl amigo, i think your channel and knife centers channel is what convinced me to love knives again. Ive always done edc knives but 9/10 i was always just carrying cheap gas station knives. My old schrade buck 110 copy was probably the fanciest thing i owned. But after getting into knives me and my dad finally had a shared passion. And our bond grew from that (now hes given me pretty much every cool knife he owns 😂) but the coolest thing hes given me was his custom randall made diver that he aquired when someone stabbed him with it back when he was a young man. Neither of us really knew what he had until i did some research. I just knew it was a reallllly well made knife. Now that i know what its worth im mad about how weve treated it over the years 😂😂 the tip has been dulled to shit, the handle is all scarred from using it as a makeshift hammer, the steel is all scarred up from me learning how to shapen on it. But i love it to death and i really wish a replacement sheath wasnt 300 bucks 😂😂 one day id love to bring it to someone who knows what theyre doing to have it restored a bit and brought back to its former glory when im a bit more financially stable 😂

If you don’t need it to be TSA safe, the SwissCard Lite is better IMO. You get the small but surprisingly sharp swisscard knife with the same 4-bit driver tool then add in the light and not bad

    • @lskazalski

    Things I might change.

Might add gloves. Hands are the best tools.

One thing I always carry with me in my wallet is a very small thing of eyedrops. And I never see people really having those in their kits and a lot of times if I rub my eyes, my eye will start to bother me like something that was on my hand, got in my eye And it just helps to be able to wash my eye out or sometimes you just inadvertently get something in there and it helps to have a little bit of eyewash with you to clean out whatever’s in there. I rarely ever see anybody having that in their kit.even in first aid kits, the small ones anyway you don’t really see them too much or even at all and for me it’s a super important thing to carry on me.

    • @StarDarkAshes
      @StarDarkAshes 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@monkpato sometimes it’s just an eyelash but still especially when you don’t know what’s in there you don’t wanna keep rubbing it in case it’s a very fine piece of wood or God forbid a metal shaving. It’s always better to just irrigate your eye. And if it gets under the lid somehow, and you have someone there with you, you can pull your own eyelid up off the surface of the eyeball while someone else squirts the rinse right in there. It’s not super easy to do that by yourself but it can be done.. it’s just one of the worst feelings to have something stuck in your eye

I make a difference between an 'EDC' kit and a 'Travel' kit. What's always in your pockets is your EDC. In summertime when I wear light clothes and don't have a coat on so way less pockets I use a small fanny pack. What you're showing is to me a 'Travel kit' and for your use of it it makes sense. Please put a tourniquet with some electrical tape and a couple of electrical butt connectors. Also, with the tape, you can unroll it and roll it tighter and put it in a waterproof cylinder with a small buddy fold so it's easier next time.

This kit is actually super useful on the bike. I carry a little tool pouch from Biltwell on my bike that has a couple sockets, spare links, and some old bike specific things to supplement what I already have. I’d recommend looking at your bike and where/how you access cables/computers/censors/fuel lines/oil lines and then seeing what you need to get to them. A lot of new bikes are pretty hopeless for road side repairs because the computers are too smart😁
