    Been watching a lot of game room vids lately and I have to say i think this is one of my favorites. I love the amount of DIY, really shows the effort put into the collection and display. Also +1 for massive darkness

    My game room/office is also the same size, but it's has built in cabinet storage on one side, so my wall space is limited. I'm still trying to figure out how to make it better and am also going for a modern look. I really like your setup and am impressed with how much you're able to fit in there with the small space.

      Thank you very much! I really appriciate you taking the time to watch and comment ❤️ I find this limited space a fun challenge. Finding good storage solutions and curating your collection to “no fillers, only killers” and still having a room that is spacious and clean looking.
      I find all shelves, bookcases and cubes out there to have way to much wasted space in height and especially in depth, so they just take up to much space in a small room 😊

    Very nice and neat mate, love it! Also we share some games we consider some of our favourites 😊 my main system was the SNES. I have started collecting mainly Super Famicom recently 👍

      Thank you so much! I appriciate you comment 😊
      Unfortunaly I only played some Nes Duckhunt and Snes Street fighter and Super Soccer at friends back then, so that is skipped from the collection.. Did you get the N64 after the snes and in it´s release time?

    • @bsmith6646
      @bsmith6646 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@MrSkovdalhey mate.l apologise for the spelling errors on my last message. I did get an N64. I am a huge Castlevania fan but the N64 release was absolutely terrible which really annoyed me ha ha. That was my last system until the PS2. But my nostalgia has meant I'm buying games again for the SNES / Famicom and Gameboy. I have also started collecting for the Megadrive. I was very anti Sega and definitely a Nintendo kid but enjoying my new appreciation for it 😄

    • @MrSkovdal

      Nostalgia is a strong force 😅
      Well, the ps2 and the gamecube would be next gen after the N64, so you didn´t skip any then 😉 How many systems do you own?
      Never played any sega stuff (Not that I was anti sega) just didn´t own or knew any who owned sega, so I have no feeling for it and never crossed my mind to collect it. But how did you begin to collect that? Were you lacking something to collect or did you discover some good games and a spark startet? 🙂

    Those look great, mind telling us what shelf types they are? Only thing is the shelves look kinda tight fit. Are the games hard to retrieve and put back in without squeezing? Doesn't look like they have much room to breath. Maybe its just my perception. 🤨

    • @MrSkovdal
      @MrSkovdal  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your question 👍 The shelves are homemade, made with 12 mm MDF boards and some black paint.
      I did some testing of the different case types in width to find the best solutions for all of them and found out that 42 cm in width was the sweet spot! 😊 none of them is tide or hard to get or add (Only the ps1 is a hard to get out, but that is because of the hight and I’m talking about that i the video)

    • @peterkozlowski4377
      @peterkozlowski4377 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @BoardDane nice how the seem to fit snugly all types of cases from switch on up to standard cases. Wish you could buy these

    • @MrSkovdal
      @MrSkovdal  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@peterkozlowski4377 Actually the switch and those dvd cases are the easy ones and switch is very easy because there are so many, so there are alot of flex in the cases. The one that dominates is ps1, those cases are to hard.
      I am thinking about starting a small business now :P

    Do you know the name for the types of shelves you have that are holding your Playstation and Xbox games?

    • @MrSkovdal
      @MrSkovdal  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Dont really know, but maybe something like “Floating Wall Cube Shelves”
      Haven’t had any luck finding any in the right dimensions for my needs, so I had to make them myself.

      @@MrSkovdal I genuinely hope you do! You have a treasure trove of board games, I loved espcially seeing Nemesis and Zombicide on your shelf fun games to play and both have very gorgeous artwork. I wish board gaming was popular in the USA, its still pretty niche sadly. But I recommend that if you like skirmish games, you check out a game called Heroscape!
