My blood Oxygen level was below 70 I had hypoxia and respiratory failure the doctor said I would have died if I stayed home. I had Covid really bad it gave me bilateral pneumonia. Strangely I wasn’t gasping for air which is why I didn’t know my oxygen had gotten that low. I had no energy, couldn’t lift my head, taking a shower felt like I was being smothered (all happened at home) I was on day 11 with covid and kept getting worse. I was hospitalized for 3 days in the critical care unit, on oxygen, steroids two IV drips also given daily shot to prevent blood clots. Three other medications. Sent home with oxygen for six weeks. Two months later I was still very tired my taste or smell didn’t return and my hair started shedding. It was a difficult time but God helped me through

I want to work and help others and hive to the poor. I want to feel useful not worthless. One night before I got my pulse oximeter, I was breathing hard, and I had a coughing session, and my temperature rose and breathing became even hard, and I thought my life would end that minute. Here I am though. On a day that I felt similar, but had an oximeter , my 02 was 65% and it took 30 minutes sitting and not moving to get it up to 75. I think I went to bed with it between 75 and 80 and it took hours to finally get to sleep. I am feeling better than that now, 5 months later, but I don't think I have gotten any better in the past 2 months. Discouraging.
After covid I went to the hospital for a kidney infection and left with a oxygen machine my oxygen levels were 84 and the doctors were panicking you are so fortunate your organs didn’t shut down with your oxygen level being that low I’m so glad nothing happen to you your are very lucky having a oxygen level below 85 your suppose to go straight to the emergency room!! I been on oxygen for a year now did your oxygen levels go back to normal!!

I'm 16 and had covid. I had a bubble in my lungs and I collapsed. 2 hours later the ambulance arrived to find my oxygen levels below 42%. I was rushed to the hospital and put on Ventilator. I got worse and needed ECMO. When they took that off, I became worse in 2 days and caught COVID pneumonia virus again and so I was out back on everything again. I was asleep for 2 months

My levels were low and they gave me albuterol inhaler which has helped along with benzonatate, amox-clav. Because that zpack they gave me for the first five days didn’t work.

Dont check you oxygen while you are at sleep. it is natural for a person to have a low reading while sleping. Go get some research about that. on how to use the oximeter correctly
My Mom is 87 years old, her O2 hard to stay 90-84. Last night it dipped while sleeping to 79. She was wearing cpap but she took it off in night because she said she couldn’t breath. What now. Update: We forced her to go to the hospital and they gave her 2 strong antibiotics for dbl pneumonia, a blood thinner to keep her from getting clots ( which she didn’t have), and oxygen. Her O2 came back up to 99 and they prescribed oxygen at home. She is now Covid free but has to remain on oxygen.

My dad oxy meter was at 30 but my dad survived this disease.

Anything above 90 is fine for a few days below 90 should be making you concerned
