Not speaking for the Met, but my local police force did nothing with a road rage driver (tailgating + weaving, waving arms and pointing to pull in, overtake then brake check and speeding) apart from send them a letter reminding them of the responsibilities they have as a driver on the road and to be careful of their actions. I suspect, as their was no collision and nobody was physically assaulted, it would be pretty much the same.
The tax offence might get reported to the DVLA and the driver might get spoken to about not wearing a seatbelt but other than that, I doubt not much else would happen
However, given the nature of the driver, it is also worth noting that all reports are kept on file and even if no action is taken, should further incidents occur then that can be taken into account for any future prosecution. Bear in mind that you might need to trim / blur the vehicle details though to comply with any requirements from the Met should you decide to report. I have a few clips I cannot use due to restrictions currently in effect for the reason previously mentioned

@@Manu-Official aside from the dangerous driving (3 to 11 points) and the seatbelt (£100 fine), the no tax thing is a £100 tickle. The Met are cagey to the point of obsession with what they will tell a submitter about the outcome of a submission - basically _nothing_ but you can glean when a section 172 notice (often confused with a Notice of Intended Prosecution) has been issued . You _can_ find out if you take the time and trouble to follow up with a Freedom of Information Act request, or if you trawl court records. I suspect Mickey doesn't have the patience or detail orientation to do that given the irascible nature he reveals in his videos.
The phrase you will read in an email from the Met that indicates that they are sending out a section 172 notice is "Following identification of the driver a decision will be made as to a suitable disposal for the offence.".

Being Irish and living in the U.K. (Manchester) 23 years myself, I’ve seen similar on Irish roads, as it’s terrible in my home village in Rural Ireland and the Gardai (Irish police) can’t seem to deal with the very poor standard of driving - but once, in the years before Covid, when travelling by overnight coach from Manchester, both outside of Liverpool in the tunnels there and on the A55 between Chester and Holyhead for the ferry to Dublin, we had an incident where the coach driver had to slam on his brakes because a high-powered car pulled in sharply after overtaking and then had the cheek to brake-check us all the way to Holyhead - when we finally got to Holyhead the (regular) coach driver was so badly shaken up that he collapsed because it was that bad, but we all reported what we had witnessed to the North Wales Police, because he was a good friend of ours and we backed him up to the hilt - in the end, the coach driver was so badly traumatised by his experience that he retired and the coach operator withdrew that route from Leeds to Dublin via Holyhead

The law for give way lines at roundabouts actually does only say you should give way to traffic on the roundabout - it does not mention traffic approaching the roundabout from the right:
"Vehicular traffic approaching a roundabout should give way at or immediately beyond the line to vehicular traffic circulating on the carriageway of the roundabout" (TSRGD 2016).
This wording works perfectly fine for a normal roundabout, but it isn't really practical to follow the wording to the letter at a mini roundabout, because the entrances are so close to each other. I think a bit of give and take is needed, and it is best to give way to someone who is about join the mini roundabout from the right

In the delivery driver's defence, they often don't know exactly where the house is and so they do what anyone would do: slow down, have a look, then brake, then indicate.
Delivery drivers are given some leeway concerning specific rules in the highway code.
That might not make it right, but you've got to expect that sort of thing from food delivery vehicles if they're anywhere near homes, so you need to slow down and keep your distance.

The thing is with delivery drivers ( Which I have been for many years) is they won't come back. What I mean by that is if that was me I would be driving slowly got no choice as it's a 20mph anyway but I would have seen where I was delivering and where I could park and come back facing the correct way ( not facing traffic) because that again means when I've finished delivering I've not got an awkward pull out into oncoming traffic and bad vision blind spots to the rear. I never use the telephone while driving. Mostly because I am all over the road when I try. Myth Busters proved, as well as several government and private studies, that driving while on the telephone is the same as drunk driving in how bad you drive. In driver's ed back in High School in the late sixties, we were taught to not be distracted EVEN by conversation with others in your car, much less eating, telephones, doing your hair or make-up or anything that takes your attention off from driving safely.

    Roundabout Rules in the UK:
No, you do not need to give way to cars approaching from other roads on a roundabout if they will reach the roundabout after you.
The general rule for roundabouts in the UK is:
    * Give way to traffic already on the roundabout. This traffic will always be on your right.
Once you've safely entered the roundabout, you have priority over vehicles joining from other roads.
However, it's always important to drive defensively and be aware of your surroundings. Even if you have the right of way, it's essential to check for other road users, especially if you're unsure of their intentions.

Now show everyone where it says all of that in the highway code.

    • @DeeSock
      @DeeSock หลายเดือนก่อน +3

@@thelondondashcam As you might say yourself, it's simple - just follow the road markings. For example Highway Code rule 185 about reaching the roundabout says you "should give priority to traffic approaching from your right, UNLESS directed otherwise by .. road markings." ROAD MARKINGS HAVE THE MOST IMPORTANCE! Road markings are more important than give way to the right! The road marking on entering the roundabout requires traffic to yield.
And if you want to look at the legal definition of the road marking on approach, which everyone should have an idea of anyway , that double broken line on approach to the roundabout indicates, legally, that "Vehicular traffic must give way in accordance with the requirements in paragraph 7 of Part 7" which says "that no vehicle may proceed past the transverse line which is the nearer to the major road into that road in a manner or at a time likely to endanger the driver of, or any passenger in, a vehicle on the major road or to cause the driver of such a vehicle to change its speed or course in order to avoid an accident" according "The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016", Schedule 9 "Regulatory signs at junctions and miscellaneous regulatory signs", Part 6, Diagram 1003A. And if it was a single broken line it is even more obvious the intention of the law as it even specifically mentions example of mini roundabouts: "Vehicular traffic approaching a roundabout with a small central island or approaching a junction indicated by the marking shown in item 5 of this sign table should give way at, or immediately beyond, the line to traffic circulating on the carriageway of the roundabout" not traffic approaching from a road on the right!

I was on my way to Kingston university for my daughter's graduation. I literally could see nothing through my mirrors only his van behind me. I could not see whether it was safe to pull over whether someone had decided to undertake or anything. He then decided to undertake and then I was able to pull over to the correct lanes for use.
I had been overtaking some vehicles when he had pulled up behind me flashing his lights and tooting like a madman. And as I said once I had overtaken the vehicle I could not see whether it was safe to pull over, due to not being able to see if anyone was undertaking behind me.
When I came off at the junction for Kingston, he had also come off in front of me and it was obviously in such a rush, and as I attempted to go past, as I was raking third exit and the qué was longer to go left, he pulled out in front of me intimidate me and I suspect he thought better of it as my dash cam was recording the full incident.
