That whole album has some old school punk in a nonsense-yet-melodic songs, combined with other more rock n' roll-sounding songs throughout the album, if you want a good listening.

I can really appreciate how much passion and love for music was put into this. This performance really made my heart fill with joy. Thank you for letting me share this experience with you guys. This is the first time I have ever heard KennyHoopla and I am enamoured. If anyone can recommend anything like KennyHoopla or Bloc Party please leave a comment. Check out "post punk revival" and you'll find a lot of bands with a similar sound but some of my favorites are the Arctic Monkeys (their first two albums especially will have a fast sound like this), Two Door Cinema Club, Editors, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Bravery, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, and Foals. Another new song that has a similar vibe to Bloc Party is Hills Have Eyes by Poorstacy

Long story short, black neighborhoods were wiped out to build highways. It's really sad because this happened all over america and in some way, shape, and form is still happening. Many people don't know the history behind the roads that get them across town. If I run into an accurate article I'll definitely come back to this comment section and share it. I get happy everytime someone wants to know about the forgotten history.
I like the last 2 lines "party's over and I'm still on your couch / are you taking me in or are you kicking me out." It's basically calling for judgment. In other words, "Am I good enough for you, or will you reject me." And he demands that question to be answered. To me that's really brave. In my life I run from that question. If I go to a party I leave early, but usually I don't even go because I'm afraid they don't really want me there. By avoiding the question I never have to face the pain of rejection, but the outcome is about the same, alone with no friends. It's a bad way to live, but it's scary

Wow, now this is something else. I just dared myself to click on it and I feel transformed afterwards. That's gotta be one of the most heartfelt deliveries from a front man I've seen for a while. I've not really broke down the context of what he's talking about, but you can tell there's a lot of stuff going on. Instrumentally it's beautiful as well. Just these beautiful flourishes of Future Islands, Bloc Party, & Joy Division etc. Not even complex & doesn't need to be. Drummer absolutely smashes it too. Check out "post punk revival" and you'll find a lot of bands with a similar sound but some of my favorites are the Arctic Monkeys (their first two albums especially will have a fast sound like this), Two Door Cinema Club, Editors, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Bravery, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, and Foals. Another new song that has a similar vibe to Bloc Party is Hills Have Eyes by Poorstacy

@@DankimusPrime420 I don't know of any articles but ik they are out there. The older people of my family tell us everything they have lived through. Long story short, black neighborhoods were wiped out to build highways. It's really sad because this happened all over america and in some way, shape, and form is still happening. Many people don't know the history behind the roads that get them across town. If I run into an accurate article I'll definitely come back to this comment section and share it. I get happy everytime someone wants to know about the forgotten history.

I like the last 2 lines "party's over and I'm still on your couch / are you taking me in or are you kicking me out." It's basically calling for judgment. In other words, "Am I good enough for you, or will you reject me." And he demands that question to be answered. To me that's really brave. In my life I run from that question. If I go to a party I leave early, but usually I don't even go because I'm afraid they don't really want me there. By avoiding the question I never have to face the pain of rejection, but the outcome is about the same, alone with no friends. It's a bad way to live, but it's scary
I wonder why/when the choice to add them was made as they aren't on the album version. I, too, had them jump right out at me more than any other from the song. That being said, whatever it was...I'm glad they were added.

Wow, now this is something else. I just dared myself to click on it and I feel transformed afterwards. That's gotta be one of the most heartfelt deliveries from a front man I've seen for a while.
I've not really broke down the context of what he's talking about, but you can tell there's a lot of stuff going on. Instrumentally it's beautiful as well. Just these beautiful flourishes of Future Islands, Bloc Party, & Joy Division etc. Not even complex & doesn't need to be. Drummer absolutely smashes it too. Either way, I am immediately already a fan & WILL be seeing you live one day if you ever come to my town.
