I discovered this band in my 30s, yet I feel like I've been listening to them my whole life. Awesome music and an incredible performance here too.
I’m 33, never really gave them a shot and now I’m crying in my car listening to Why Would I Watch. I haven’t connected to an album in its moment like this since I listened to Home Like No Place Is There.

Fellow punk rockers, 33 yr old and found them just last week. It made me so nostalgic but also happy to see that there are newer bands from the genre that are sick. BCKYRD is my favourite song for now. Powerful shit!
I'd say a fair share of us found them in our 30s lmao. This has all the makings of the early 2010s emo/diy/post hardcore days.

One of the tightest vocal performances I've heard live in a pop punk band. The harmonies are on fucking point as well. Amazing.

When i listen my body finally calms, my brain stops to listen, not to talk. The past is farther away, and the future is closer, and my lost loved ones feel closer. The cloud lifts for 2:30 and i feel not as alone. Thank you...more than you know.

This band is the cutting edge of pop punk right now.
Their sound is so familiar and iconic but also so fresh.
These guys grew up listening to Blink, Fall out Boy, The Wonder years and they are carrying on the vibes and lyricism that makes those bands so great.
i was looking for a way to embody the generational influence and this hit the fuckin nail dude

The vocalist reminds me so much of soupy but he has his own cadence that differentiates him and doesnt make him a total copy. Hes amazing
Really? I can’t hear any of those influences.. they sound a lot more like 90s emo like American Football or very early Jimmy Eat World (Static Prevails) in fact they literally start this with a J.E.W cover

I guess it's because I grew up on those bands I listed and they are their contemporaries in many ways, so I can hear those influences.
But I also see what you mean, I just never listened to Jimmy Eat World much or American Football so those don't spring to my mind.
I guess with Fall Out Boy it's less the sound and more the lyrics and song titles, the vibe of writing.
But they probably did grow up listening to early Jimmy Eat World so you are probably spot on, I might go listen to their early stuff to see how I like it.
I love the band, but the musician in the band for me is the drummer. Brandon's fills and energy gives so much life to the songs. SHOW THAT PERCUSSIONIST SOME LOVE TH-cam
I'm a drummer, and the drummer really makes this band for me. Love the guitars and singing as well, they're all incredible musicians. But if they didn't have such a solid drummer the music would be missing something.

That was so close to being perfect lol only a single note off timing.
I always doubted being able to sustain those notes throughout the whole show, but holy shit. This might be one of the best basement sessions performances I’ve ever seen. Everything is so clean and perfectly executed.
It's definitely got autotune. I saw them live this year and they definitely didn't sound this clean. It was still a great show but not this "perfect"
@@charliehendrix1265 I don't think it's autotuned so much as when they're live on stage they're putting more physical energy into their performance which makes it harder to sustain vocals for an extended period of time. Here they're just chilling. And likely taking breaks and resting between songs.

Tasteful move opening with that super solid cover of Bleed American. Love these guys more and the more I listen. Reminds me of the bands I was playing with 10-15 years ago. Glad to see pop punk still has its thriving pockets in the world.

They literally shaped Emo Scene in the late 90s-2000s.
Everyone remembers MCR (which have been more on the Pop-punk side imo).

It's amazing just how in time with each other they are. The vast majority of guitarists constantly go to the drummer either to help him or themselves. Especially during parts with long pauses. But these guys have no need. Great sync.
When these guys played in the UK last year, i spent hundreds of £s to travel and see them. It was worth every penny, they are so amazing live. I love them with all my heart

ive seen a lot of positive comments about the sound mix, what is truly awesome is the bass. theres no live bass player from what we can see, but its clearly in the mix (feal like crab) and unless you were looking for it, you'd never notice. i love this band and im seeing them the night before thanksgiving, it will be the first time ive seen them and I couldnt be more excited!
