I’m so so happy you enjoyed it! As for hanging them, I also don’t like the look of a hanger so what I almost always do, even for heavy wallhangings, is I use one long nail with the head (prevent slipping, and I place the center of the the dowel right on it! I’ve never had an issue so long and the mail was sufficient, and it makes it look super clean almost like it’s floating there:)
Wow so pretty! Thank you so much for this easy tutorial. Its my First Ever macrame craft and it has turned out so beautiful :) cheers to you! Wish I could show you a picture!
@@soulfulnotions2648 aww I'm not on instagram, but I just wanted to tell you I chose your pretty little project for my first macrame work and I've made a pair of these beauties for my cozy home :) thank youuuuuuuu... Much love!❤️
I am working on constructing this hanger, but I am getting lost at the part where I begin the second, opposite diamond shape. Any tips on how to begin that next diamond? Also, will I be again working with every second strand while moving the weaving outwards? Thanks!
Beautiful wall hanging and thanks to your video and great instructions, I made one! I do have a question though... where is the best source for understanding how to adjust for the length of cords for a project using different knots. For example I want to make this same pattern but using the Berry Knot. I know I will need more length but don't know how to figure that out and any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks again for the great video(s)!!!
Could you start with more cords on a longer pole to increase the size of the final pouch? Follow the same principle but scale up the design? Very new to macrame so apologies if that’s a very obvious question!
No need to apologize that’s a good question, and yes you have it right, the longer dowel just add more cords making sure that you have an even number. If it is significantly larger I do recommend cutting extra length in cord as well to make up for the extra knots , especially in the middle, as it take up more cord length!❤️
Thank you! To answer your question, yes, I don’t see why not!? If you can’t find Jute that is the same thickness as this rope you can just add more to make it come out the same width:)
I'd like to make it, however I'm wondering whether it could work with 2 more cords, so that it's just tiny bit wider? or would it mess something up at a later stage :) thanks for advice! :)
Im not positive, I've never done it with such a thin cord, but if you do try it, I would double the amount of cords as 2mm is very much smaller than this cord.
Just finished making one. Directions were easy to follow. I want to make one as a wall hanging to hold 3 pots. Would you do 3 separate ones or follow the directions except on a bigger scale?
I’m not sure I understand entirely what you mean but I think you mean 3 of these side by side on a larger dowel? If so it would obviously depend on what size across your making it. I’ve never made one with 3 or know what size your going for so I can’t say! I wish I could be more help!🤷🏻♀️
@@soulfulnotions2648 I made one and then my mom fell in love with it so I had to make her one too (with barrel knots at the bottom because those are her favourites 😉).
Love the tutorial! It’s very easy to understand. If I wanted to make this for smaller pots, about 3 inches, would I use less or the same amount of ropes that you used for this one?
I’ve never made one for a 3 inch pot so I can’t say exactly but I think you could maybe get away with either taking a couple cords out at each side or just adjusting the bottom to make the opening smaller:)

Yup, that’s totally fine! If you find it’s too narrow with a thinner cord, just add a few in the center a couple inches longer than the original center cords!

I believe this was about 4.5 inches.
I love this! What size pot did you use?
Thank you! I’m not sure the exact measurements of the pit for this one but by the looks of it about 5 inches.
What is length of cord required for making this
Number x length
Do you have to make curtains by these knots... Can you make a veidos of that
You should try! I’ve never done it so you should try to figure it out and go for it!

You can make it with any size dowel, just make sure it’s an even number of cords!
