I have been to Sedona...its my favorite place. Lots to explore...lot of hikes and trails but the scenery is top notch. Perfect place for van dwellers and car campers. Lots of places to camp too. BTW ya have pretty hair :)
I LOVED Sedona. I got to go on an old west horse back ride to a little ghost town. It was really fun. It was also just cool looking. I also took one of those off road jeep tours that was crazy. I want to go back once I hit the open road!
My mother lived in Sedona in the 70s and I spent some time there with her as a kid. It was a weird, mostly undiscovered place back then... small... new age-y. Absolutely beautiful and with hardly any people. The valley that she lived in outside of town had a couple houses. Now thousands. We played in the state park out back of the Circle-K until it got dark enough that you might actually go missing, rarely seeing anyone. Last time I was there, we hiked in that same park and about every 3 minutes a sight-seeing helicopter went overhead. Times change. Not necessarily for the better.
I just love how you talk through the anxiety and expectations of going to a new place: will they have what I need, do I fit in, am I even allowed to go in there? Love it!
Have a large very stylish handbag ready for when they won't allow back packs. Put all your stuff in there for those places. When you know the rules. You can find ways around them.
Dude don’t use Clorox wipes on your dishes. Those have harmful bacteria that aren’t good for ingesting. I’d suggest using white vinegar mixed with distilled water if you’re trying to save money and have more room for storage. Plus the white vinegar can be used for anything! Take care! Thanks for sharing your journey!
I figure it’s no different than wiping down a surface, letting it dry, and then placing food directly on the surface (like a countertop). Safe for that, safe for this in my mind! This is less of a cost saving thing and more of a water saving thing. Thanks for following along!! :)
I have watched a high end restaurant in Austin use Lysol to clean their tables with, sprayed Lysol and used paper towel to wipe. I guess it worked, lol.
My road life motto: If I can't change it in the next 10 minutes, then I smile and let it go/make a new plan! It's often for the better... in this case, I found the cutest coffee shop! Thanks for following along 😊
13:20. I have known that relief! It is akin to suddenly lifting your head up after trudging through a mirky, damp and cold forest for several days only to be faced with civilisation! Lots of bright , electric lights, pavements, people, movement, cover from the weather and noise! I had that experience - the relief of feeling rescued - the relief of knowing I'd get a break from the cold weather - when I came across a McDonald's at 6:30 a.m. To go from several uncomfortable , long, cold nights to , suddenly , sitting bathed in light, sound, company , warmth and a hot tea was resuscitation in extremis.
Girl, unless you are vegetarian. You can cook beef stir fry with broccoli or green beans. It takes 15 minutes. You can even cook Italian sausage or ground beef and add pasta or rice with water.
I think it’s important to have some happy food especially when you’re living alone so those chocolates are good to keep. I see those Safeway bags so assuming you’re Canadian !!!
00.19 curious is that a DJI drone? it looks like it. I got my drone piolets licenses a little over a year ago and have since got hundreds of hours in the air and love it! some of my flights were a bit far away but other than music it's my next favorite hobby!
This was another FUN video! No backpack? I am SO jealous seeing all that sunshine! I NEED to get on the road. I am currently living vicariously through your videos! :D SOON! SO SOON! I am actually looking forward to the "typical roadlife" lol. It really speaks to your name...No Perfect Plan! LOL See you in the next one. I am still floored that you lived on the road with TWO horses! MAD respect :D :D!
Thank you David!! No backpack this time… I hit the gym in the AM, but that didn’t make the video. The sunshine was much needed for me too. You outta take a little trip before setting sail for good!
@@NoPerfectPlan oh I am taking a trip ASAP. I may be building a video studio in Dallas and I'll be driving down and camping along the way there and back. I'm hoping this happens this month. I'm so ready for some sun.
You popped in my feed, so glad, love your vlog, thanks for sharing your journey and with such sincerity and love the joy when you "found home" :) looking forward to more :) liked and subbed :)
Totally went on a binge spree the last couple of nights. Love your content, energy, positivity, and determination to achieve your goals. You mentioned you were in a slump and wanted to change things by incorporating different cars. Tbh, cars are cars, which won't change your content, in my opinion. May I suggest you try backpacking and camping in a tent?
Did you make those draws yourself? I was hoping you could maybe make a video of how your bed is propped up on the draws/fridge/battery very curious how it all works, would love a tour of the back of the 4Runner
Awesome, and there is never such a thing as too much dark chocolate! I hear you on the needing to be a Tetris expert. Haven't been to Sedona...yet, but it is on the list!
Nice video. My first time to your channel. Refreshing that you are showing us your real life in a 4Runner without $50K worth of gear and equipment setup. I have a 2016 4Runner; good choice; it will never let you down. Look forward to seeing more videos.
I’m so happy I stumble up on your channel. It’s very refreshing watching the adventures with you and Zora. By the way “zora” in Croatian means dawn. I absolutely love Colorado and definitely planing on moving there. I’m in my research mode at moment searching for the best city to move to. Looking forward to your new adventure.
Yah I'm bad about keeping my pantry stocked and topically just run to Wal-Mart and pick up what i need for that day but on the other hand I do Urban boondocking so it's a lot easier for me
Small tip on broccoli if you are short on time.. Put a dash of water in the pan and it will boil a bit and cook faster :) But maby you learned as i now see this was 9 months ago.. :) But hey.. Soon winter again ;)
Hi awesome what you're doing I have a 4Runner also like yours mine is silver 2021 don't know if you thought about it but I put WeatherTech window louvers they don't stick to the body they go in the window window channel so if it's raining and you're sitting at your campsite during the day you could crack the window a little bit if you want just saying be careful what you're doing enjoy what you doing while you can wish I can do it have fun and be careful 🙃
🌴 Just wondering if you have a power station and a solar panel would make things a bit easier, as you could plug in a slow cooker and cook while you drive , you could have power for lights while you cook , you would have power for a heater, and be able to charge all you video equipment, phone ,computer and using the power station could be a great topic for your video’s 🤔.
You should come to atlanta and see the north Georgia mountains! While they are pretty you are lucky as hell to take in the scenery of the west. Ive been to moab and other places. Beautiful
Sweet! I just found out why the McDonald's arch is blue in Sedona... they thought the gold would clash with the surrounding scenery (red rocks). Thanks for following along!
You’re doing great! Keep up the good work. I would be interested in more 4Runner content, definitely mention it in your titles and you should get more views. And be careful, you remind me so much of my daughter.
You are very funny ….You have your own exercise plan lifting all the shelves and just putting food away… I like the chocolate but too much green stuff ….I also love your can do attitude …. fun video ….
What temperature do you keep your fridge at to store raw chicken and other groceries? And how long does it all keep for/ how long does it take to go thru all the cold stored food?
I can kind of turn it into a fridge/freeze if I set it to 30 and pack it full of stuff (with frozens at the bottom). Otherwise, I will set it to 32/33. It holds the temp pretty closely. I can store up to about 12 days of cold food in here if I really wanted to in a crunch, but generally I will resupply cold food every 5-7 days. Hope this helps! :)
Apreciate you keepin it real. I have a reg cab tacoma with a shell camper and I’m rooting for ya and hope you dont get to down on yourself, but I think a truck will serve you better? With a camper for you can cook inside. A storage box on the roof might be in your future lol. Yeah I’m not a cooker either which is why I have a lil oven to cook premade meals from Walmart. Ima soon hit the road and start my channel going, goodluck!
I had a truck (Ram 3500 Dually) that I considered adding a shell camper too before I got the 4Runner. It came down to safety and off road capabilities. I could, in theory, cook inside if I put my stove in my passenger seat, but I can usually whip up something with my backpacking stove if I want a warm meal... I also keep plenty of mountain house meals, which are good too if I am unable to stay outside for extended periods to cook! A little oven or air fryer would be an awesome addition to the car! Thanks for following along and I am excited to watch your journey!
Beautiful video! I just subbed! Did you stay on 2wd when you were looking for a spot on the dirt path? Just wanna know if my old 2wd 4Runner can handle that terrain
every time someone comes up to me, I'm always in the middle of doing something and then when they leave, I stand there for like 5min trying to remember what I was doing lol

Could you use farm fresh eggs? I bring this up because they don't have to be refrigerated. May or may not be an option
I could, but I'm sure that I would end up breaking them 😅 I have a fridge in my 4Runner thankfully!
Awesome video! I’d love to take my 4Runner out somewhere like that but it’s to darn cold here in Canada to do that.
Hopefully when it warms up a bit!

I see why you need rear springs, the 4Runner is a very capable off-roader/over lander from factory.
Definitely!!!
Jerome and cottonwood are also a must see. I'm down here in Phoenix. I'd recommend fossil creek but it's closed at the moment. Timmy C Arizona
Cottonwood has one of my favorite coffee shops! I’ll check out Jerome too. Thanks for the suggestion!
