the reason would be huelsbeck's genius. i think when he composed it he "heard" it like that. thats why its so great even on mono sid. (i love the sid sound, but its not exactly polyphonic ;) )

Stell dir mal vor, du produzierst den Soundtrack für ein Spiel und der entwickelt sich zu einem der wichtigsten Videospiel-Kulturgüter, die die anfängliche Gaming Zeit der 80er/90er mit sich bringt. Jeder, der einen C64 hatte, kennt die Giana Sisters. Und somit auch den Soundtrack von Chris Huelsbeck. Das ist schon ein Stück Geschichte und zu sagen, dass der Nostalgiefaktor beim Wiederhören einschlägt wie 'ne Granate, wäre noch untertrieben.
Juste great - who would have ever thought that a game's music one day would be played by a big orchestra, being adapted to a symphony. Back in the 80's, game's music was never considered becoming cultural heritage at all! - This adaption strongly reminds me of Antonín Dvořaks Symphony No. 9 "Aus der neuen Welt", pretty much the same overall style. Really great - and it shows that music that might well survive centurys can still be created today!
Chris Hülsbeck´s Musik ist einfach nur unbeschreiblich. Ich bin so froh das ich ihn früher auf einer Amiga Messe in Köln treffen durfte. Ein sehr netter Mensch und großartiger Komponist.
It's beautiful, but I have to say that the original was just better, it had a much darker tone and just an amazing ambient and it used its limitations to work for it

Damn, I remember ... I totally liked the tune (the first 1:50 of this video) and kept the intro rolling, like, forever ... I'm very happy to see that things like this are not forgotten :)
After all those years I tried to find the inspirations the German composer used. The game plays during a dream and nightmare.... The slight scary beginning with the sole piano with minor string backing sounds a bit like the theme from The Exorcist but by adding the flute in the second run it becomes less dark. And by adding the xylophone in the third run it sounds rather funny for kids. At 1:58 I had to laugh as well..... imagining the beginning of the game.Then there are parts that remind me of a western with all those strings....then it almost gets a little militaristic with the marching sound of a snare-drum. @GeneralAMSEL79 unless you are playing an indie game or some remake of a classic game that stays true to the original. The problem today is that a lot of game developers sacrifice gameplay for graphics

Ich würde jeden Preis für das Konzert zahlen. Bitte Bescheid geben wenn jemand was weiß!!! P.S. ...und wie geil der Dirigent abgeht! Ein Traum...
